AEW has always sucked. I can’t confirm if it’s gotten worse or not, but coasting on not being WWE was always going to wear thin at some point.

Just a reminder: They pulled PAC vs. Page from their first show because they didn’t know how to get around PAC being champion of a Japanese indy promotion. Their first match was a Battle Royal that featured Glacier competing for a World Title shot.

They had Adam Page and Kip Sabian go 20 minutes on PPV and had a three-way match for a shot at getting a bye in a tournament (what?). They also had Street Fighter moves sold in the main event of a show. And Marko Stunt open one. This is all before they got to television.

They are arrogant assholes who do not care about insulting the intelligence or sensibilities of the viewer.

Battle of the belts is a weak show and they killed it by not running Page v Danielson on it the first time to make it feel important.

AEW ignoring the entire west coast is why their attendance sucks. They’ve had one California show. You’d think, like Vito said, they’d just do a tour of the area. California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, etc.

You can’t create demand for your product if your product is regularly and routinely available.

Also, Tony needs a booking team. Identify the guys you want featured, the guys you want elevated, and the guys who do the jobs and let the coaches help line up the stories.

Feels like the minute Page won the world title, the long term booking took a shit. There wasn’t any clear next in line champion, so they did a face v face angle to get the belt to Punk, when in reality it should’ve been MJF being next in line followed by his story with Punk. Hindsight is 50/50 I know but Punk’s first title win should’ve been in Chicago 1 year after he returned.

Punk's 1st title win should have come before he got embarrassed in UFC. Yes I know AEW wasn't around then, but after UFC Punk should have never been given a top championship.

I never thought Punk needed the belt. Thought it suited Danielson more. Punk was coming back because a spark had been re-ignited. I bought him having matches with guys like Darby Allin and MJF to take them to the next level. Danielson was already a main event level wrestler. He should have come to AEW for the gold.

Danielson should have beaten Omega. Page could have gone to draws with him and the like.

People can rip on Jericho being ROH champ all they want, but that title hasn't been this interesting in over a decade.

To be fair, these auxiliary deals could be conducted completely independently. Cutting AEW in Latin American countries could be a logical insular move. But it’s crazy how people are trying to push this to the side like it isn’t a bad thing, or that it isn’t indicative of AEW’s declining (or just consistently too low) popularity. This thing ain’t hot sauce.

The latest tactic seems to be attacking people who are reporting this with projections of doomsaying and a penchant for conspiracies.

Did he really? One of the easiest ways to get heat in AEW is to point out things The Elite have done.

Add Andrade to the list of talent that is main event level when he wants to sign with AEW but is an overrated hack when he wants out.

He was hyping his AAA title shot against Omega when he made the remark. It was quickly deleted and he apologized. But his AEW push mysteriously ended around that time. And when the match came, Omega convinced Tony that he shouldn't lose two high profile matches in a row, despite one of them being on a show most Americans have never heard of.

Well that doesn’t surprise me. Insidious bastards that lot.

It’s unusual to wake up in the morning without discovering that someone in AEW has made an ass of themselves.

Remember when we all respected Jericho? I don't think you can take away from his body of work at all--IMO he's earned his status. But dear god what a fucking goof.

I think he’s tarnishing his rep slightly. It’s crazy what the internet thinking you’re a good wrestler will do for excuse-making. His 2008 work was really good. I don’t think he can damage that. Stuff like 1998 Jericho is becoming harder for me to go back and enjoy because it’s just so self-indulgent and I can see where it’s leading.

There’s talent there, but he’s an overrated blow-hard that needed to cling to wrestling because he couldn’t get into the mainstream.

Say what you want about Jericho, but in terms of main eventing Wrestlemania...
