Random idea for shitty angle: Hunico comes out on RAW and reveals himself the Mexican Heavyweight Champion. He says he will only defend the title against Mexican wrestlers. When they come out to challenge him, he asks to see their papers. When they produce them, he says that they count as Americans and refuses to fight them. If they don't have documentation, he gets them taken away as illegal participants in organized competition.

This all builds up to the WWE's tour of Mexico, where Hunico has to defend the Mexican Heavyweight Championship against legitimate contenders. You can either have him win after revealing himself to be an awesome wrestler, or you can have him lose to a new sensation.

I would actually love that idea.

Kelly Kelly was abysmal, yes - only hightlighted by being the "centerpiece" of the division and having televised matches every night.

Candice Michelle was forgettable. I remember nothing about her except opening her sweater on her entrance, and thinking there are other girls with better tits, so why is this her gimmick? Forgot she was even champion.

Deborah and Kitty were below the basement. They clearly only got runs because of their relationships at the time, and made even worse because of the angle (Deb's shadow or Mini Me Chyna) between the two. Neither of them were even "wrestlers", just valets who rolled around in the ring. They made Kelly Kelly look *deserving* of her reign. However, If one had to be "the worst", it was Kitty by a nose.

I like Taya and she is a fine athlete, but she is the textbook definition of a butterface.

My thing is this: Would anyone even know who the fuck Ospreay was if Vader's rant didn't go viral? I doubt anyone would have even had any kind of reaction towards his high impact tumbling routine with Ricochet without it. It would get seen by a few people when aXs TV showed it on New Japan, but folks wouldn't have gone out of their way to see it.

People to a lesser extent know who Ricochet is, but I still can't pick Will out of a lineup. I saw highlights of the match with Vader, and Vader gave him more than he should have, considering he didn't sell all the chokeslams he took.

And the punchline is this: Vader uses Social Media better than 80% of the WWE. He made people care about this nobody AND got himself a bigger than usual payday in 2016.

To be fair to Ospreay, his name pops up in internet circles a lot. I'd heard of him, but never bothered to seek him out, since the spotty stuff isn't my cup of tea. Vader did seem to be responding to the hype around the match, and not so much vice versa.

But holy fuck did Ospreay/Ricochet match suck? I get some people go in for that sort of thing, but I could not get through it. A lot of the younger guys in wrestling don't really seem to get...working. For lack of a better term. I heard a shoot from Kevin Owens once, and I may be remembering incorrectly, or taking it out of context, but he came off as confused that someone would be pissed off at him in the back and then go out to the ring and cut a promo about how great they are. It may have even been Jim Cornette. But I remember it shocking me that this guy couldn't understand that the real person behind the curtain might be different to the presentation you see in front of it. I just...couldn't believe it. But there you go seeing it in Ospreay too. This whole "Like, Vader was bullying me. Like full on. And then, and this will get everyone on my side, get this -- it was all fake." :|

Wonder how USA Network feels considering WWE once again got rid of both winners before they could do anything. Was one of the issues USA had with the show prior to the last season.

The smartest thing Mandy did was to go straight to Total Divas since it boosted her name value by a lot for the WWE. Didn't even matter if the season she was a member was the lowest ever in series history, she still got more exposure than Lee and everyone else signed from Tough Enough.

Tough Enough is a fucking joke. The big problem with it is that you are signing kids who are both green in the business, and probably don't have that much passion for it in the first place, otherwise they'd already be training. It takes years to train yourself to be ready to the point where you are capable of handing a televised developmental spot. If Kurt freakin' Angle had come through Tough Enough after the Olympics, he'd still have been cold by the time we saw him beat Meat.

Not only that, but the sign the talent they want anyway, and because they don't really know their aptitude for the business, someone like Mandy Rose progresses much faster than Sara Lee even though she didn't win anyway. The only thing it produced on a fluke was Johnny Mundo, aka The Greatest Man on Planet Earth.

Good for Sara getting knocked up though. I imagine the release might have been mutual in this case. And good on her for snagging up Wesley Blake. I feel he is underrated in the ring, although I cannot comment on his sexual prowess.
