Probably a safe bet Royal Rumble is going 4+ hours as well next year to complete the Big 4 or co-brand ppvs getting special treatment.

4 hour ppvs, 3 hour shows, why bother stopping at all?

just have the guys rotate in the ring.

Simple Fan 09-26-2016 05:43 PM

I'd be fine with it as well. Maybe some of the veterans that turned them down would be interested in a Royal Rymbke spot at least.

Droford 09-27-2016 01:16 AM

If the Rumble is 4 hours they should totally do separate rumbles for RAW and SD. Or not because thats be a rare co mingling opportunity for both brands.

Maybe go to 40 though.

Fignuts 09-27-2016 02:08 AM

Yeah, part of the intrigue of the rumble during the brand split, was the fact that the winner could challenge for either title. 2 rumbles would take that away, along with the afformentioned crossover potential.

Fully expecting the Shield to reunite during the match, now that they're all faces.

Droford 09-27-2016 02:51 AM

How are you going to fill the other 3 hours of the Rumble. Its bad enough now at 2. Can't have many people pulling double duty. You could have 2 title matches and 2 women's matches maybe. Maybe its be a good time for an hour Iron Man match..

GD 09-27-2016 01:43 PM

Hope the WWE gives the Cruiserweight Division some more time to "settle in". Competing in front of "hardcore" audience is so different when compared to the "mainstream" audience that watches Monday Night RAW.

If they did a tag tournament like the CWC the Addiction would be great for it. AJ put them over big during his Stone Cold podcast. Think the Dusty Rhodes Classic should use that format but think it will just be NXT teams.

That was glorious.

Rammsteinmad 09-27-2016 05:01 PM

I'm excited for the cruiserweight division, not a fan of the "mood lighting" and how they make it all appear so CWC on Raw, especially when they're being ordered to shake hands and the whole raising the victor's hand etc. Hopefully once they're a bit settled they'll just nicely integrate with the main roster. Could see Neville and Neese having some great matches or making a great team.

Emperor Smeat 09-27-2016 05:04 PM

According to the Observer, WWE getting interested in buying TNA again is due to Billy Corbin's bid to buy the company taking longer than expected.

TNA basically needs money now to continue tapings or else they have to shut down a bit and any official move by Corbin to buy the company will still need weeks work of official paperwork done.

Making things a bit worse for TNA and Corbin is supposedly ppv providers are not taking orders for the upcoming ppv since they are unsure if it will even happen.

Simple Fan 09-27-2016 05:09 PM

Cruiserweight division just seems weired to me really how they are presenting them. Don't like that they change everything to purple for their matches. Also the hand shaking and hand raising was fine in the CWC but on Raw it just feels out of place. Also feels weird that they brought back the cruiserweight division and the Universal title doesnt seem to be a heavyweight title.

Emperor Smeat 09-27-2016 05:33 PM

Think the problem is like with NXT, WWE puts in little real effort and just assumes everyone watched the CWC or word of mouth is enough to spread the hype for the Cruiser division.

They've done a good job with the hype videos but right now it only feels special because the WWE says so and not because it was gradually built that way.

I've seen things I like in Baron Corbin. He seems to get certain aspects of the business. He doesn't have much by way of charisma, or even this "presence" they like to talk about though. He's absolutely dreadful on the mic too.

You obviously can't do the same gimmick, but this a guy who could desperately use some sort of Undertaker-esque dressing. I don't know what his thing is, but if they can tap into the things that he's got that what he doesn't completely erodes, they might have someone they can plug into main events without as many people groaning.

I do like The End of Days, but I wish he had another finish that doesn't require as much work to hit. Let the guy use a Lariat or a Spear or something. It feels like they have been beaten into the ground, but something that plays up his football background would be nice.

John Cena speaks the truth...

Quote:

John Cena appeared on Talking Smack after WWE SmackDown last night. During the segment, Cena spoke with Daniel Bryan and Renee Young, Dean Ambrose's real-life girlfriend, about Ambrose calling him a lazy part-timer last week.

Cena said that while there may be a little truth in Ambrose's comments, he's getting them twisted and his record speaks for itself when it comes to be being called "lazy." He said that when Ambrose talks about him riding on a private bus or a plane after the shows, he's correct. But what he doesn't know is that while Ambrose's day ends right now, he's going to work and he's flying to New York to promote Total Bellas this week while Ambrose gets to go home to recuperate.

Cena noted that Ambrose makes millions of dollars from WWE and he works hard for it, and he doesn't appreciate when people say that he's high and mighty because he hopes they aspire to do for the business what he is trying to do. He said that he didn't get a chance to be a part of the first SmackDown Live pay-per-view because he was in China helping global relations between WWE and the country so hopefully years from now Ambrose or other stars can be on a SmackDown Live pay-per-view or a WrestleMania in front of 100,000 people in Beijing or Shanghai. Cena said that he knows it won't happen to him, but he's happy to open that door and help to get that ball rolling.

Cena brought up Ambrose saying that he doesn't dress in the same locker room as the other wrestlers and admitted that he didn't, saying that you are the sum of the five people you spend your most time with and that "Dean Ambrose would slow me down." He said that while Ambrose may hang out with the Samoans or Jack Swagger, he can ask them who they go to for genuine advice in WWE when they really need help, and they will respond that "it's me."

Cena later once again said that he's getting ready to head to New York to promote Total Bellas, and it will be his pleasure because he wants for it to be a success because Nikki Bella works her butt off. "Like I said, you are the sum of the five people you surround yourself with and I surround myself with people that just go," Cena said. "The Vince McMahons of the world, people who are the first to show up and the last to leave. "No, I don't stand and dress where Dean Ambrose dresses, but this is where someone has twisted reality. Dean Ambrose said 'John Cena and Dean Ambrose don't like each other.' No. Dean Ambrose doesn't like John Cena. John Cena doesn't care about Dean Ambrose. And if Dean Ambrose wants me to care about him at No Mercy, he'll either need to step up or step aside."

Cena said that "Ambrose cashed in a suitcase to win the championship, won a match and then lost the title. He noted that when The Shield first debuted, Ambrose looked special. Cena said that right now there are two bonafide WWE superstars from the group: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, and that Ambrose is still trying to figure it out".

According to the sheets, WWE's offer to buy TNA was really low but had terms not allowing Billy Corgan nor Dixie Carter to start a new wrestling company for a long time. Might be the same terms WWE gave for the WCW buyout in regards to Ted Turner.

Looks like they just want the tape library and nothing else of importance.

Meanwhile on TNA's side, wrestlers are already deeply worried the upcoming ppv won't be occuring since TNA has started to cancel travel plans and bookings for certain wrestlers involved.

Droford 09-29-2016 02:03 AM

Corgan was on Busted Open today and said everyone was still traveling for BFG.

It was a good interview he is a lot more knowledgeable about wrestling than I thought.

Fignuts 09-29-2016 02:53 AM

Sin Cara gets generic mexican theme. Should have remixed his old chanting theme. Would have at leadt been unique.

Fignuts 09-29-2016 02:55 AM

You know, just once, I'd like for a talented, name foreigner to go to New Japan and turn down Bullet Club, and fight for the company. Seems like if you have round eyes, you automatically are in.

Feel like Ryback would be good in that role.

Mr. Nerfect 09-29-2016 04:13 AM

I like the guy under the mask, but I kind of feel like the Sin Cara gimmick is dead. Any mystique it originally had has been beaten down and out of it. If he came out as an obnoxious heel "big deal" luchadore with a grand entrance and announcements that talked about his amazing charity work, I might change my tone. But I have no hope for the actual gimmick as it stands.

I'd like to see TJ Perkins beat both Gran Metalik and Sin Cara in Cruiserweight Title matches, and then to get back in contention, they wrestle a #1 Contender's Match against each other. Gran Metalik wins that and gets another shot at TJ Perkins, but he fails to win the title there. Sin Cara gets another match with Gran Metalik, but also loses that, and demands a third match with the guy who keeps beating him, and makes it Mask vs. Mask. Gran Metalik wins and Sin Cara unmasks and then gets repackaged in a less racist way in NXT.

Mr. Nerfect 09-29-2016 06:26 AM

Why exactly did the WWE fire Ivelisse again? I thought it might have been for excessive partying, but I think that was Mickie James and Sareena -- with James also liking being a bit of Cena fallout. Ivelisse seems to claim that it was at least partially because she reported Bill DeMott being a massive piece of shit in developmental.

I just ask, because that woman was, and probably still is, phenomenal.

https://wombatsports.files.wordpress...sse-velez1.jpg

Mr. Nerfect 09-29-2016 06:29 AM

Shayna Baszler also received a tryout at the Performance Center recently. I can't imagine why she wouldn't be signed, unless they don't feel her "pretty" enough.

https://static1.squarespace.com/stat...(43+of+44).jpg

Mr. Nerfect 09-29-2016 06:30 AM

I can imagine there being some sort of "legit fighter" vibe, or at least an attempt at it, cultivated on the SmackDown side of the Women's Division. Becky Lynch, Shayna, Daria Berenato, Natalya and Asuka could anchor that shit down. It would mean that Alexa Bliss and Carmella would have to jump over to RAW or die though.

Sin Cara gets another match with Gran Metalik, but also loses that, and demands a third match with the guy who keeps beating him, and makes it Mask vs. Mask. Gran Metalik wins and Sin Cara unmasks and then gets repackaged in a less racist way in NXT.

I was a big fan of him during his time as Huncio, so I'd be all for seeing a return to that.

Theme and all.

But maybe with a less stereotypical/potentially racist ring attire.

Maybe go with tights.

Just a more "professional" look, really.

Itami and Ibushi is cool. Not so big on Roode and Dillenger. Would have rather seen Roode and Aries team for it.

Lince Dorado's theme sounds like something from F-Zero X.

A whole lot of talented people got a tryout. I'm excited to see if any of them get signed.

I just ask, because that woman was, and probably still is, phenomenal.

Suppossedly because she was one of the first to speak out about Bill Demott's abusive training style for developmental well before it became a public scandal for the WWE.

Thought Roode said they'd be 'Perfectly Glorious'.

Feel like Ryback would be good in that role.

Don't know if he ever got an invitation story-wise but Michael Elgin did have a feud against Omega and Bullet Club that lasted for a while.

Bingo. He might feel like an actual wrestler if he wore proper ring attire. Loved Hunico.
