76ers will be a playoff team next year though.

McLegend 11-28-2015 10:40 AM

Yeah I don't think that's happening.

And the attendance is not good. The plan is depending on if they get Ben Simmons next year. If they don't get him then I don't know if this whole plan would be considered a success.

McLegend 11-29-2015 07:48 PM

Kobe retired

McLegend 11-29-2015 07:55 PM

Actually he is going to finish the year.

owenbrown 11-29-2015 08:42 PM

well that sucks...even as someone who isn't a Lakers fan, he still had a great career...absolute hall of famer

Ruien 11-29-2015 08:57 PM

Calling him just a hall of famer is insulting. He is in the top 10 players ever at a minimum.

Simple Fan 11-29-2015 09:14 PM

Its pretty sad the 76ers are in that kind of shape. Feels like they are tanking to get the #1 draft pick every year. They had a good young guard to build around in Michael Carter Williams but they traded him away. Felt like the Joel Embied pick was a bust from the start and that Jail Okafor doesn't want to be there. Noel hasn't done anything there either. Just don't think Simmons could come in and make that team any better next year.

not trying to downplay it, but he hasn't been playing like one the last couple of seasons considering his injuries

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-29-2015 11:23 PM

One final time probably ever for KOBE

Lakeshow.

Apparently the NBA has some sort of rule that doesn't give assistant or interim coaches wins. Somewhat of an issue this season because of the Warriors undefeated start and their regular head coach being out with an illness the whole time.

Quote:

Luke Walton can be recognized for what he's done in guiding the Golden State Warriors to a historic start, even though his record as an interim coach is technically 0-0.

The NBA issued a statement Tuesday clarifying rules regarding coaching records. The league said the head coach of record, in this case Steve Kerr, is credited with team wins and losses. That means Kerr is 19-0 even though he has been sidelined since training camp because of complications from offseason back surgery.

Droford 12-01-2015 03:44 PM

They should have just named Walton th official head coach with no interim/assistant tag

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-01-2015 05:02 PM

Then they would have to fire Kerr.

Droford 12-01-2015 09:14 PM

Then hire him back when hes healthy..

Wiz about to hand the Cavs their first loss at home since back in january.

McLegend 12-01-2015 09:17 PM

Sixers are about win their 1st game. Kobe should retire right now. Don't even wait until the end of the game.

The Lakers are bad.

ClockShot 12-08-2015 08:59 AM

NBA sorta kinda steps in with this "situation" in Philadelphia. Make former Suns owner Jerry Colangelo Chairman of Basketball Operations and special advisor.

Emperor Smeat 12-08-2015 07:39 PM

Makes sense considering Philly is a traditional big market and management's been basically making a mockery of the tanking system.

NBA is losing too much potential revenue and the team's tanking strategy has shown no signs of improvement.

Droford 12-08-2015 10:18 PM

I think GS streak is more impressive when you realize they have scored at least 100 pts in all 23 games.

Emperor Smeat 12-11-2015 06:16 PM

Warriors got the rare mega status treatment for their game at Boston tonight. Cs added several more rows of seats for fans and some extra stuff for the media because of the game's importance in the Warriors road trip.

Cs haven't done something this special since Lebron's 1st time visiting as a member of the Miami Heat in 2010.

Droford 12-11-2015 09:53 PM

Boston giving GS a run but Curry just nsiled a deep 3 to give them back the lead by 2 under a minute

Headed to OT

No man, just did something nice for the fan by putting up some solid numbers.

Steve Kerr returns to the Golden State bench tonight.

Whether the autopilot gets turned off or not is another question.

McLegend 01-22-2016 04:27 PM

David Blatt has been fired and Tyronn Lue is named the head Coach and given a new contract to reflect this change.

ClockShot 01-22-2016 05:20 PM

So, what happened in Cleveland for this to occur?

LeBron finally had enough of him? Owner's off his rocker?

Supposedly the GM didn't like or felt insulted with Blatt claiming the team was still "pretty good" following the beatdown by the Warriors.

Also seems like the GM didn't really like Blatt this year and just wanted for something big to happen to have enough of an excuse for the firing.

ClockShot 01-22-2016 07:21 PM

:?:

.............I've got nothing. This is just................I don't know how to describe this.

Ruien 01-23-2016 06:35 PM

Really hope the Cavs make more moves that completely backfire because they feel the need to get a small man lineup to compete against the West.

ClockShot 02-01-2016 07:20 PM

Jeff Hornacek fired as Suns head coach.

Steve Nash's name was thrown out there as a possible candidate for the job. But he has since said he ain't interested.

Emperor Smeat 02-09-2016 10:27 PM

:| at the Cs loss tonight

Had a huge lead early (18 pts), blew it before the half, was down huge by the 4th (19 pts), came back to tie it late, and then lost because of a dumb foul with 1 second left.
