Rock vs Lesnar, if it's the main event next year, may possibly be the first time in my life I just have no interest in a WrestleMania main event.

Rock vs Punk is way more intriguing to me.

Pretty dumb for the WWE to not capitalize as much as possible to keep those chants strong to help with the t-shirt sales. Not as surprised considering based on previous reports, they never planned anything long term for him while he got very lucky Henry and Orton were hurt during his reign.

I don't care why he's back. I just don't care for the guy and don't want to see him come in and be in the WrestleMania main event a year later like Rock did. He's gonna be playing the asshole because that's what he is. Even the way he came off on Raw seemed like a smug prick without saying a word.

This could also be based on my feelings on how the Rock-Cena feud left a bad taste in my mouth. Rock was due for his "comeuppance" against Cena after being such a dick at last year's Mania and Survivor Series namely. And he never got what he had coming to him. So storyline-wise it just made me wanna see him get it even more. And Brock's too much of an ass to be the opponent to give it to him. That just leaves a bigger asshole walking around thinking he's "running things".

Really want Punk vs Rock for these reasons. The promos would be ridiculous. Basically Cena-Rock promos raised to a whole new level.

WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT when I say Rock was the bully heel in the fued is WrestleMania... Rock costing Cena the title in the main event against a heel Miz. Survivor Series... Rock getting the pinfall against the guy he handed the title at WM and then attacking Cena WITHOUT PROVOCATION. After Cena was trying to leave and give Rock the spotlight, no less.

These are just dick moves storyline-wise and Rock ended up winning the match in the end. There was no payback for his being an ass.

I feel like Rock hit a Rock Bottom to start with. I don't remember. I do remember the high profile settings where Cena was simply trying to go about his business and got attacked by Rock though.

Cena beat up Kane though when all Kane was trying to do was help Cena prepare for his match with The Rock. Considering Cena lost and Kane won at WM I'd say he should've listened to him instead of throwing him off an ambulance :o

I would love that card. Lesnar vs. Johnson is a Rock match I would like. Punk vs. Austin is my current WWE dream match, and Cena vs. Taker would be a fantastic match.

Really not thrilled about any of them to be honest. They'll be cool matches, don't get me wrong, but if that's the three main events, then what do guys like Ziggler, Barrett, Sheamus, Bryan, Orton, Kingston, Miz etc get? More crappy squash matches or clusterfuck tag matches?

Daniel Bryan would move up one more step on the ladder and be involved in a 4 minute multi-man throw away tag team match.

The problem is, in my opinion, to really define themselves as 'top names' they need their Wrestlemania moments, since a lot of top guys/legends really 'made themselves' at Wrestlemania. Getting the pinfall in throwaway tag matches or squashes isn't really the way to do it.

Exactly. They 'couldn't find a spot' for some of the top, rising stars in the company. Ziggler and Rhodes are more or less 'there', but need that big payoff. The big Wrestlemania match/moment that will validate them as top stars.

I've said this in another thread, but when Rock, Lesnar, Undertaker, Austin, Michaels etc are all well and truly finished, who will WWE call up as a big Wrestlemania draw? John Cena?

Don't get me wrong, if these are the matches we're getting, they'll be good matches and the hype will get me into it, but I just kinda feel that WWE are making WCW's mistakes now by relying too much on 'old guys'. The roster right now is fantastic and full of so much incredible talent. I just hate seeing them bust their asses all year only to go into Wrestlemania in the matches that don't really mean anything.
