I can't tell you exactly how long it took but it definitely was less than the amount of time CM Punk spends crying about people being mean to him per hour.

Last and Cornette’s brand is honesty. There are fanboys for The Elite that aren’t going to like what comes out of them, but I don’t see them being blatantly dishonest just because Omega isn’t Cornette’s flavor.

Such an odd and confrontation way to attempt to motivate talent. A staff meeting is not the time to be joking and working angles, so even if that was what he was doing (and I don’t believe it), then that’s entirely inappropriate too.

He may have the ratio right, but Omega would hire the wrong ones.

Voices of Wrestling has also reported that there are takes from AEW that Punk isn’t the problem, it’s The Elite.

I've heard the Elite is super detached from everyone and not all that interested in helping the guys--unless it's their peeps of course.

Whereas Punk was sticking around watching everything, including Rampage and Dark and all that shit, happy to work with everyone.

I mean that’s what fuckhead Dave says. I understand there’s never gonna be 100 percent acceptance of a new guy coming in and shaking things up. But from the sounds of it, lots of guys were open to what he had to say—but Dave did his best to diminish that because it might make his best pals look bad.

I was always willing to give Dave the benefit of the doubt but his obsession with the boosting the Elite is preposterous at this point.

I’d say Punk’s biggest “defect” is how he will turn on someone at the drop of a hat. But I do wonder what actually happened with him and Colt.

Hard to know for sure. Supposedly Steel doesn’t speak with Cabana anymore either despite being Steel’s 2nd most successful trainee.

Cliff Compton was arguably the person who gained the most from his appearances on Colt’s podcasts and even testified in their lawsuit with Amann. He is close enough with Punk to get invited to Punk’s AEW debut and supposedly he doesn’t speak with Colt anymore either.

I’d imagine those are two of only a select few who know the real story and they’ve both “picked” Punk whatever that might mean.
