You're fucked!?

I got an Inferno Match with Benoit! All that experience he's got of being surrounded by fire, I don't stand a chance.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-15-2014 01:39 AM

You are in the enclosed pool area of fire!

According to one of Bleacher Report's main writers, Spike TV dropped whatever little interest they had left with TNA. They want TNA gone as soon as possible. Bellator also pulled their sponsorship with TNA.

Also appears that Spike and not TNA actually own the set they use for Imapct tapings based on recent pictures from Spike TV.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>I’ve gotten this question, so I’ll answer it: No, Spike will not be in the TNA Wrestling business any longer.</p>&mdash; Jeremy Botter (@jeremybotter) <a href="https://twitter.com/jeremybotter/status/533760878659661824">November 15, 2014</a></blockquote>

TNA's options are now Destination America or scrambling to find someone before the year ends and Spike TV kicks them off the network. They have no leverage at all for any new possible deal and could even end up with someone worse than before this announcement.

If they move to Destination America, I would expect drastic changes in their presentation due to budget changes.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-16-2014 07:04 AM

The show already looks like crap visually. Saw a few minutes of it on Thursday.

Lumberjack Match against Bret Hart. As much as I love The Hitman, think he has made enough enemies in life that I might have a chance if I chose the lumberjacks:D

Seth82 11-16-2014 06:42 PM

Street Fight match against X-Pac.

I might have a chance against Pac in a street fight.

This is an update on the TNA television situation. On Wednesday, sources at Destination America believed they had a deal with TNA and those in the TNA office believed an announcement was being made on Thursday. It is possible they will wait until after the TV show on Wednesday to make the announcement so they don't come across as lame duck on Spike, which was nice enough to keep them on the air past the contract expiration to allow them to not disappear off the radar before a deal is made.
In terms of numbers and stuff, Impact might lose around 50% of its average viewer base with the move since DA is in way less homes than Spike and unlikely DA will spend anywhere near the amount Spike did for promotions.

Also Spike rejected the idea of TNA showing "specials" or "best of" episodes after this week's final taped episode. Once the final taped episode airs this week, Spike TV will be completely done helping TNA.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-17-2014 01:40 AM

I don't even get Destination America in HD here.

Darth Heyman: It was a double pin ref.

Ref: It was a double pin. The match is a draw.
