Supposedly its because they see several Cena-like comparisons to the point they can completely mold his career like they did with Cena. Like Cena, less worry about him leaving for better things like films or indies claiming any part of his popularity unlike with Ambrose and Rollins.

Already dead set on having another Cena type era with just 1 mega star and probably something that won't change even with another WWE Universe rebellion.

I bet the Bunny replaces Gabriel at the rest of the shows

When did Mario jump ship to Capcom? Is this why they stopped pushing Mega Man?

Cena wasn't on Raw.

The ring apron on the UK tour.

Droford 11-10-2014 03:25 PM

Tonight might be the one night they tone down the network hype

Cool King 11-10-2014 03:28 PM

It looks like it.

For Raw tonight, they used the ring apron they usually use for the house shows.

So WWE's Twitter account spoiled a bunch of things from tonight's RAW and possible Survivor Series ppv.

SPOILER: show
Ryback turned heel again and Swagger is on Team Cena. Also teased Swagger and Zeb splitting up.

whiteyford 11-10-2014 03:48 PM

Just thought of a missed opportunity for the RKO outta nowhere, the Flair flop, perfect set up.

Droford 11-10-2014 04:00 PM

Punk is going to write a Thor comic next year.

Will Thor take his hammer and go home..?

Went to wwe.com and saw the Ryback/Cena/Authority pic with "Did Ryback join the Authority?" caption. I'm holding out hope that this is some sort of swerve. WWE can't possibly be THIS retarded. Can they?

He won me over recently. I was legit excited for a revamped face run. They can NOT be this stupid. Unless they do the "mean heel monster that doesn't talk and just destroys," I would be floored smh.

Probably a swerve at the end tonight

Emperor Smeat 11-10-2014 04:49 PM

Wow.

SPOILER: show
Being reported/spoiled that Sheamus beat Rusev clean for the US title.

Edit: Nevermind, turns out people on Twitter were mocking the WWE for what they were doing earlier. Just timed it right so it would seem legit.

loopydate 11-10-2014 05:55 PM

Watching SuperBrawl '98 and I'm always amazed by how underrated of "ring generals" Booker T and Perry Saturn were. In the opener, Rick Martel was supposed to beat Booker to set up a match with Saturn immediately after that he would also win. But during the match Martel tore his MCL and they had to improvise a finish that had Booker win the match and the TV Title. Then, he and Saturn had to improvise an entire match that was never even supposed to happen, and it was good. Not blow-you-away good, but damn impressive considering they didn't even know they were going to have a match five minutes before it started.

loopydate 11-10-2014 06:06 PM

And then Tony Schiavone says that there's an unadvertised match coming up that will "literally make the Cow Palace explode."

I feel like I would remember that.

loopydate 11-10-2014 06:08 PM

Also, Nick Patrick looks like Danny McBride.

loopydate 11-10-2014 06:13 PM

Stating the obvious, but holy God was Goldberg over! He's not even against anybody that matters (Brad Armstrong), but they are popping like crazy no matter what he does. For a decade, nobody outside the main event has been as over in WWE like this guy was in prelim matches.

Cool King 11-10-2014 06:35 PM

So I got asked to take a WWE survey today as I live in the UK, and it's pretty much the same survey that was being "talked about" a few days ago when people saw that TNA was mentioned.

I have screencaps but they're huge, so they'll be in spoiler tags along with the rest of my post.

SPOILER: show
TNA was mentioned in the UK survey too, but also, some reason, they also asked if I was interested in Cirque de Soleil.

http://oi61.tinypic.com/357rjeo.jpg

SPOILER: show
I was then asked who my favourite guys on the roster were, and I noticed that Christian wasn't included on the list, along with Paul Heyman, William Regal and Zeb Colter, but then again, all those guys apart from Christian are managers/GM's, so maybe they don't qualify as a "WWE Superstar" for some reason?

As for Christian, as far as I know, he's still technically a "WWE Superstar", he just hasn't had a match in forever.

http://oi60.tinypic.com/167vz3r.jpg

SPOILER: show
Next, I was asked about the Legends. I was quite surprised that they're labelling Chyna, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Kelly Kelly and Stacy Keibler as Legends. At least at this point in time. I'm pretty sure we'll eventually see the first three names make in into the Hall of Fame, and maybe Keibler too.

My biggest surprise was Kelly Kelly being listed as a Legend. Also, I added Billy Gunn to the "Other" section, as Road Dogg was listed, but Gunn wasn't for some reason. I also added The British Bulldog and Steve Blackman.

SPOILER: show
The last question was kind of "salt in the wound" for me.

Yup, he even got my dad interested in wrestling for a bit during his streak run.
