Supposed to be included in the next Xbox One update that some people are testing. Pretty much a warning saying you're playing too much today.

What's throwing me off is that looks like a bad ass sith from The Old Republic. Either that for The Force Unleashed is backwards compatible know, and I just don't remember that Starkiller costume, or level.

I get weird news bits from Yahoo from time to time.

Haha that's awesome. How long did you play before that popped up?

#BROKEN Hasney 07-23-2016 09:11 AM

Oh yeah, there's 2 new Sonic games for 2017. In the Spring, there is Sonic Mania which is an all new 2D game by the guy who's been doing the mobile phone remakes of the original series (and making Lost Planet Zone in Sonic 2) which looks pretty cool.

Then the end of 2017 one, which looks like Sonic Generations 2.

So I've just randomly came across news from around four days ago, saying that an extreme skier from Sweden (Matilda Rapaport) died while filming a promo for Steep.

Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places, but I can't seem to find anything from Ubisoft about this. I was expecting to find some sort of condolence message from them, or at least informing people that she had died, but there's no mention of her death anywhere from them.

I can kind of understand why they wouldn't mention it, but at the same time, not doing so makes Ubisoft come across as being heartless bastards.

Emperor Smeat 07-23-2016 11:46 PM

Wasn't them but the skier's sponsor that broke the news about her death. Ubisoft did send out a press statement offering condolences onfor the tragic loss.

I assume it'll be like that Movie/Game thing. Majority rules picks what they do.

#BROKEN Hasney 07-28-2016 05:22 AM

Just listening to the EZA podcast and one of them was in the room when it was showed... And it was announced as a suggestion. So majority doesn't rule, it just pops up on screen who voted for things.

A huge shame if it doesn't just do the decision. I guess it's aimed at streamers so viewers can have a poll more than people in the same room playing. I'd rather talk than just use my phone.

Seems like its mostly PC reading it now. Console performance is poor in terms of framerare, but it's an adventure game so no big whoop. PC version is apparently ignoring graphics cards and running less than 10fps...

Late Night News Edition

Update to EA shutting down a fan-made Star Wars game news as the developer involved was recently in talks with LucasArts and will be allowed to continue work on their project albeit with some changes.

Won't be allowed to use Star Wars related properties but can keep everything else intact and got LucasArts blessing to be the spiritual successor to the canceled Battlefront 3 project.

It was also revealed LucasArts was upset at how EA handled the situation since they refused any flexablity to the Star Wars liscense.

Quote:

According to Romanelli, Frontwire and Lucasfilm discussed licensing, but ultimately the conversation was stalled due to EA. The Star Wars Battlefront publisher has a multi-year exclusive license for core games and has a number of other titles in the works including a sequel due out in 2017.

“It was 100 percent,” he explained. “I straight-up said, ‘If EA wasn’t involved, what could we do?’ They said, ‘We’d be willing to look at getting you a license somehow, but it comes down to EA and our agreement with them. We have to follow what they say in this.’”
Quote:

He says that he even offered to put the game in EA’s hands for the purposes of protecting Battlefront. Romanelli explains that he pitched tying access to Galaxy in Turmoil to Star Wars Battlefront ownership on Origin. “[Lucasfilm] went and talked to EA, and EA wasn’t having it,” he explains.

While EA allegedly didn’t have interest in sitting down with Frontwire, Romanelli says the publisher attempted to meddle with the developer’s lengthy statement about the situation. The suggested statement from Lucasfilm and EA is significantly shorter and almost entirely eliminates details of the conversation between the parties about Galaxy in Turmoil.

“They came back to us again and told us they re-wrote the press release, because EA didn’t want to be part of it at all,” Romanelli says. “EA wanted it scrubbed, and they turned the press release you read into something way smaller. We weren’t going to put that out. We weren’t going to let EA force Lucasfilm to rewrite our press release, especially since EA is doing their EA Originals thing. They’re trying to help indie developers, but they’re going to quash us and re-write our press release? Lucasfilm eventually told us to do it our way.”
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/a...star-wars.aspx

#BROKEN Hasney 08-03-2016 05:36 AM

Amazed that Galaxy in Turmoil is happening. It's actually based off of the battlefront 3 source code, not just a spiritual development of it.
