Been using nothing but Akimbo Magnums recently. It's a lot of fun. Some of my regulars get pissed that I use them but I don't care.

I wish I could have a heartbeat sensor on my akimbo'd fmj magnums

Either only the real bad players play in Free For All, or I'm not as rubbish as I thought I was. Finally starting to get decent streaks and win some matches.

Feel like you get much more space to try out and enjoy all the different weapon types, whereas it feels like I spend most of my time in team games getting gunned down.

The heartbeat sensor is stupid. I do not think that exists in real life.

I prefer to think of it as an Aliens style motion sensor anyway. Which also doesn't exist. But get over it either way, it's a game.

lol when playing Hardcore modes with the Heartbeat sensor and Ninja perk, everybody else is using them too so they cancel each other out.

I got the Ninja perk. Did something awesome yesterday: I put on Lightweight and the other perk that makes you move faster, also with Ninja, then I ran behind someone, knifed and killed him. Then I continued to run and saw 3 guys all right in front of me. I knifed one of the guys, then ran over to the other knifed him, then knifed the last guy then took off running without being seen.

It was so cool. I'm proud of myself. I also got killed by one an air package landing right on top of me. Epic.

I unlocked the last set of challenges and there's one where you have to get 3 knife kills in a row without dying so I'm gonna try that.

It's easy if you use the set up I listed earlier in the thread with the tactical knife, did it my first game I had that set up.

I did. I tricked my sister into doing it when she beat it, response was quite amusing.

Well I just unlocked the Desert Eagle but haven't tried it yet. Can you get the tactical knife for it?

All the normal pistols I believe.

I still haven't beaten the campaign. :shifty:

But I'm on the last level now!

Deagle was a disappointment for me here. It's got far too much recoil, pretty much outclassed by the Magnum. I wanted to get Tac Knife for it, but I'm sticking with the Mag.

Update for the came out today for the 360 - the Javelin glitch is now seemingly gone, along with some others.

Good news: The thing where I randomly get droppped from the game is gone now. :wave:

I got the mastery done for my RPD earlier, and unlocked the extended clip for it. Thing is lovely as one clip holds 200 hundred bullets. So no more of that silly having to reload every minute or so. Using that with 2 claymores (thanks to scavenger) and holding down a bunker against the enemy is pretty awesome.

Also going through the campaign on veteran, and really just breezing through it. Was expecting to just get mauled on every mission, but none of them have been really hard thus far. Even burger town was pretty simple which is weird as on my first playthrough on regular I got my ass handed to me repeatedly by that mission.

I'm doing it on veteran but I know I'll never be able to do the mission where you have to defend the computer as it is downloading something.

How the hell did the heartbeat sensor make it into the game when IW themselves said campers ruin the game...

I've made a habit of going back and killing campers that kill me. Got to love that Revenge kill XP bonus.

Heartbeat sensor doesn't give 360 coverage, so it's not like it makes you all seeing.

I messed with the heartbeat sensor for kicks and found it detracts from battle more often than help.

Using riot shield a lot. I don't get a ton of kills with it, but it's a bunch of fun. Also getting pretty handy with the throwing knife because of it...

Ya got like 11 kills with the Riot Shield one time. Had a 5 kill streak lol

Whoa something weird is going on with the match making right now. Just finished playing a free for all with 18 people in it on terminal. To say it was chaotic would be putting it lightly. Also played a 9 on 9 search and destroy after that, and then a hardcore ground war. Kinda of liked the massive free for all and the hardcore ground war.

Never use it for camping just run around masacaring everyone with it.

I use for sneaking around and getting people in FFA. Doesn't help much when they re-spawn right behind you. It helps to weed out campers.

Played Domination on Rust last night. Game never ended. Had about 300 kills before I had to leave. I guess someone modded the map or whatever. It was fun as hell for the first 2 1/2 hours.

Was it Ranked?

Found myself in a 9v9 Hardcore TD this weekend.

Must be something added with the patch.

Something I find kinda hateful is when you put a silencer on a sniper, it takes two long headshots with stopping power to bring someone down.

This sort of counteracts the stealth you want as you give up cold-blooded to use stopping power...

So shoot them twice. Not condoning two headshots to kill but at least your stealth isn't compromised.

That must look and feel badass.

Akimbo shotguns need to be taken out in the next patch, stupidly powerful.

My bro runs around with akimbo Rangers. I told him that was overkill. He didn't care.

Akimbo's pretty fun though. I use akimbo P90s for my War Machine class (with Rapid Fire and hip fire accuracy perks on top of that).
