Well... Is Duane Starks playing?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-31-2006 01:06 PM

Pats coming in pretty much 100% healthy on Defense, Eugene Wilson was the only stratch last night but Hawkins is a pretty capiable back up.

Vikings offense is horrible though, so we'll see how they'll match up againest the Colts. Gonna be a hot game I think, Patriots coming in playing a lot better then last year when they got romped.

Doug Gabriel for MVP

RP 10-31-2006 01:11 PM

So... No Duane Starks?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-31-2006 01:24 PM

Nope, No rookies either

Kris P Lettus 10-31-2006 01:26 PM

Belichick's 19 year old son got 6 months probation for getting popped with some weed..

lol

WTF! I demand that Duane Starks be guarding Reggie Wayne!

Crippla 10-31-2006 02:37 PM

Duane Starks isn't even on the Patriots anymore...

RP 10-31-2006 02:44 PM

No way?

Crippla 10-31-2006 02:45 PM

Ya.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-31-2006 04:31 PM

10 different people caught passes last night, not over paying Branch still a bad idea?

I know right, just because he is the coache's son. That kind of shit happens on a daily basis to thousands of people.

Gonzo 10-31-2006 09:37 PM

Don't know why I put an 'e' in "coache's."

Honestly, i never thought it was that bad, I thought it sucked in terms of the big picture and the fact that, I thought they werent doing right by Tom Brady. I actually thought Seattle was nuts giving what you got for him.

That Doug Gabriel pick up was huge. Jackson has looked better and better. I think Cadwell will find a way to blow a game somewhere down the line. I'd actualy be worried about the recievers inexperience in the playoffs, but you do have Tom Brady so..

Hey, enjoy your 240 yards rushing next week. :p

AlphaBean 11-01-2006 12:29 AM

I think Belicheck should come out and admit the weed was his, and that the police should apologize to him.

They totally would, because it's fucking Bill Belicheck. The judge would say "I'm sorry, but I have to uphold the la----" then Bruschi would appear at the back of the courtroom.

RP 11-01-2006 01:43 AM

Then Bruschi would be shot in the face.

AlphaBean 11-01-2006 01:48 AM

Only to be back on the field in like, 3 days.

Kris P Lettus 11-01-2006 11:24 AM

Drew Brees might be suing his mom.. Something about, they don't have a good relationship to start, and now she is using a picture of him, in a Chargers uni, for some ad campainge for whatever political office she's running for in Texas..

Weird..

Maybe if him and Tony Dungy's son had been buddies, things would be different in the Dungy house..

Wow have a fucking microeconomics test at 9 am on Monday morning FUCK YOU

Looks like I'm not drinking during the game

Kris P Lettus 11-01-2006 08:00 PM

Why??

The game will be over by midnight.. You could be asleep by 1AM and you could wake up at 8AM..

If you're still hungover from beer after 7 hours of sleep, you are a lightweight..

p.s. Just chug a bottled water for every 3 beers you drink..

The Outlaw 11-01-2006 09:29 PM

Lol economics is ridiculous. Had Macro but didn't have to take micro.

Don't really like drinking the night before a test, not my style

Well I will probably still drink, but I was planning on getting tanked. Its not so much the hungover thing, I just become like a dead body I don't get what it is. Once I am up I am fine but I sleep threw my alarm all the time when I am shitfaced the night before. Like totally have no reaction to it

Maybe you should die from dumb disease.

Textbook example as to why you shouldn't base a team off of one game.

Or I could follow in the Dungy tradition and die from "I'm a huge pussy who can't handle my teenage problems" disease..

That was a pretty safe predicition tho, the loss of Bettis and Randle El aren't the big issue with the Steelers being terrible. It is the fact that Ben Rothliesberger enjoys throwing it to the wrong team.

AlphaBean 11-02-2006 03:00 PM

I think that Bettis was a big loss, with him in the game the win was almost guaranteed, because you couldn't not respect the run when a team runs 80% of the time.

Roethlisberger has been out of sync all year because every game it seems he's getting injured or whatever. Come on. The bike crash, the appendix and the concussion? I think if he can play like, 2-3 more games without dying, he can settle into a rhythm.

Also, Santonio Holmes should be benched, they should sign Charles Rogers or something, fuck. Yeah, good idea to get the ball to your overrated rookie in the clutch.

But yeah, ROFL@ James Dungy. I heard he signed on to do a beer commercial. He plays the dude who comes in and says "You guys hangin' out? I'll hang out."

AlphaBean 11-02-2006 03:01 PM

I think Stima and the sports media should cut Roethlisberger some slack. But then, I felt someone should have cut James Dungy some slack last year, too...

Joey Slugs 11-02-2006 03:22 PM

Maybe Roethisberger just isn't that good.

AlphaBean 11-02-2006 03:41 PM

Undefeated in the regular season as a rookie... wins a superbowl in his 2nd year...

No, he's pretty good.

And he had a team around him. Shit... Kyle Orton won 10 games his first year, does that make him an NFL starter?

DrA 11-02-2006 06:47 PM

Ben Roethlisberger has the same team around him that he had last year for the most part, so there's much, much more to it than that.

DrA 11-02-2006 06:49 PM

That motorcycle accident might have ruined his career.

Triple A 11-02-2006 06:50 PM

I never really thought Roethlisberger was that good. He would throw the ball like 12 times a game and everyone would talk about how incredible he is. He is alright but I think most quarterbacks could have done well with the system that was set up.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-02-2006 08:34 PM

Yeah I sort of agree with all of you, I thought he was more of a Trent Dilfer Superbowl winner to tell you the truth. Sametime though I agree that all the shit going on with him this year he is going to have a negative effect on you.

No run game? They still have Willie Parker - I dunno, dude only had 1,200 yards last season. Ben's bad play is hurting the running game, the running game isn't hurting Ben's play.

Being third on the depth chart makes Orton not an NFL starter.

Ben won some games on his own last year. He was on his way to becoming elite. It can still happen, but he took several steps back this season.

AlphaBean 11-02-2006 11:43 PM

He's 24 years old, isn't he? And he already has a Superbowl ring. He's prone to do young, stupid things. He's younger than I am. Cut him some slack, he will mature.

And to say his career is going the way of Ryan Leaf? Nigga please. He has a ring. That ring does magical things. Look at Brad Johnson, everyone thinks he's a star; why? Because of the ring. Not because the Bucs D was the best ever... oh no.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-02-2006 11:48 PM

I don't think anyone is comparing him to Ryan Leaf, way to go way overboard though.

I just don't think he'll ever be a consistant Pro Bowl player, maybe he'll sneak in once or twice but I personally don't invision him developing into a great QB.
