Yeup and with a bad edit job.

Quote:

At the Smackdown taping, the show started off with Big Show in the ring. He got on the microphone and told the fans that Daniel Bryan would need another surgery, and asked them do to the YES chant so that they could film it and send it to Bryan as a "get well soon" type of thing.

As it turns out...this wasn't why they did it. Smackdown opened tonight with Vince's announcement of the WWE Network's "Free November" thing (and they bothered to pipe in cheers and have Eden/Vince do voice overs [with bad echo effects] to make it sound like it actually happened at the show) and then they showed the crowd doing the YES chants (with the video of Vince edited onto the titantron).

Basically, WWE used Bryan and his injury to get the crowd to cheer and chant so that they could just use it to make it look like they were reacting to Vince's announcement about the Network.

Droford 11-01-2014 04:53 PM

Droford 11-01-2014 04:55 PM

I want to see Putin walking around with the US Title. That'd be awesome.

Watching Havoc 89, its funny seeing Dynamic Dude Shane Douglas get booed out of the building in Philadelphia over the Freebirds who were mad over with the philly crowd.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-01-2014 07:41 PM

Wouldn't be the first or the last time Philly booed that guy out of the building. ECW fans respected heel/face dynamic more than any other modern American wrestling fan.

My guess is AAA and New Japan, but that's just a hunch on my part. We are told that Toby Keith's involvement would play into some of these announcements. We have not heard anything regarding a potential GFW TV deal. Jeff Jarrett, when reached by phone, declined to comment but said, "When I am ready to talk, you will know."

As noted earlier, Grammy-nominated rapper Wale is organizing a wrestling show for 2015. Wale revealed on Twitter that the event will take place in New York City, writing: "Wrestling event in NYC soon. Already booked so many suprises . Phone been ringin off the hook" Paul Heyman has been working closely with the rapper on the idea. While not directly involved, Heyman is advising Wale on the ins and outs of promoting. Heyman has introduced Wale to clubs and arenas, while also recommending wrestlers to Wale. It should be noted that Heyman is not partnering with Wale on the show; he is merely helping a close friend, according to those close to Heyman.

MercuryNews.com and SFWeekly.com both have articles on WWE and the San Francisco 49ers hosting an anti-bullying rally at Buchser Middle School in Santa Clara, California earlier this week. As noted, Darren Young, Renee Young, Bryan, Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon were there repreenting WWE. The people involved in organizing the event reportedly raved about how nice Bryan, his wife and "the guy whose name they couldn't remember" (Darren Young) were, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

:| could end up with the possibility of Cena vs Lesnar at TLC and the Rumble.

Some other sheet news include Reigns could be back as early as next month, NXT had a big problem with rowdy crowds at a recent live event, and Canada isn't eligible for the free month of WWE Network offer.

True, but I'm still not feeling it. I can't see Reigns being the guy that seems most ready, and I could see his long-term relationships with crowds being damaged by such a strong push too early.

Ambrose isn't ready yet either, in my opinion. Daniel Bryan would have been fine, and I think Punk would be a fantastic choice if he were still on the roster. Cesaro could have been ready if he were pushed properly coming out of WrestleMania, but that's entirely moot now.

Dare I say that a babyface Orton might be the best choice right now, if Bryan doesn't get healthy in time.

With Halloween happening yesterday, today, photographs of WWE costumes have surfaced on the Internet. In my opinion, these are the three "best" costumes I've came across so far.

3rd Place:

2nd Place:

1st Place and winner of the "best" WWE costume goes to....

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 09:40 PM

In addition to Team Cena vs. Team Authority, I'm also hoping that we get an NXT Showcase Elimination Match, as well as something highlighting the ladies. Nikki Bella challenging AJ Lee for the Divas Title, with it being Brie Bella's last night of service to Nikki, seems like a sensible match for the show, but Paige is having her issues with Alicia Fox. Do a Paige Turners vs. Fox Trotters match at the show.

Paige chooses Summer Rae, Layla, Cameron and Sasha Banks for her team. Banks seems like an odd pick, but I do like the idea of NXT getting some attention at the show. Becky Lynch's character would suit Paige's side better, but I think Banks will be in line for a Women's Title shot against Charlotte, who would round out Alicia Fox's team. There's also the Banks/Summer Rae history to ignore if you have Banks on the heel side.

Fox gets Natalya, Naomi and Emma for her team, and then brings up the NXT Women's Champion. Introducing one new female character on each side isn't the worst thing the WWE could do.

3rd place would be a great costume without the pseudo blackface.

1st place is the clear winner.

Cool King 11-01-2014 09:49 PM

I also came across what felt like an unlimited amount of Bray Wyatt costumes.

The vast amount is probably because it's so cheap and easy to dress up as him.

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 10:11 PM

I've got no clue how the WWE books Ambrose vs. Wyatt at Survivor Series. It feels like both guys need the win there.

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 10:12 PM

I still want to see The Rock vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31. I feel like that match would generate a lot of buzz.

Damian Rey 11-01-2014 11:22 PM

Promos in and of themselves would be interesting.

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 11:47 PM

You can have Wyatt "invade" talk shows and cut some of his promos on the audience after attacking The Rock.

Shadrick 11-02-2014 01:00 AM

I feel like after Mania with Cena, the company would have Rock go over Bray, and I don't want that at all.

Fignuts 11-02-2014 09:46 AM

Yeah, Wyatt's been losing way too much.

<font color=goldenrod>You guys have way more optimism than I do that it wouldn't just be The Rock making childish jokes via satellite and completely failing to take Bray Wyatt seriously for weeks on end. The match itself would be fun, though.</font>

Mr. Nerfect 11-02-2014 12:29 PM

Ambrose could sell injuries from Hell in a Cell to put Wyatt over without losing too much steam himself, I guess.

Damian Rey 11-02-2014 03:47 PM

DB didn't lose steam losing too Wyatt. And clean, might I add. No reason Ambrose couldn't do the same.

Wow, forgot Zack Ryder existed. :(

Whatever came of his latest show? I remember he was getting serious and then disappeared.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-02-2014 10:04 PM

I think he suspended it cause it was the road to WrestleMania. Right after WrestleMania is when they cut dead weight usually. So, he kept his head down.

Was revived twice as first a mini-series to show he wanted to restart his career and later as a gag segment for the JBL <s>& Cole</s> show.

So are all of you in the UK getting the network?

XL 11-03-2014 01:19 PM

I tried the other day. No app available and the link on WWE.com tells me I can watch Survivor Series on Sky.
