Good on McAfee. Would’ve been a shame if Austin’s last Stunner ever was an awful one.

OssMan 04-03-2022 11:15 PM

But but but they could've used that time to give New Day some offense :'(

Still chuckling over the way McMahon took that stunner.

love cartoon-like stuff like this

Night 2 has kinda felt like a Triller PPV. It's been a lot of fun but not a great "wrestling show", but decent enough so far. Personally the Edge/AJ match bored me and I got tired so it took a while for me to get back into the show.

Last night was awesome and all time tops in a lot of ways. I think I'd have said that about night 1 last year too though. This main event will really make or beak this 2nd day for me.

Evil Vito 04-03-2022 11:27 PM

Roman’s entrance length makes even the Undertaker blush

GD 04-03-2022 11:27 PM

I might be the biggest Lesnar mark on the forum but I hope Reigns wins tonight.

That's 10 more minutes New Day could've used to build quality offense.

GD 04-03-2022 11:30 PM

AR graphics have ruined championship screens.

Triple A 04-03-2022 11:31 PM

Guru Dave sassy tonight!!

Triple A 04-03-2022 11:32 PM

Roman Reigns looks like a CGI rendering

This should be good, calling it the biggest WM match of all time before it ever happens though reeks of marketing Edge vs Orton as the greatest match of all time.

Evil Vito 04-03-2022 11:34 PM

Two big meaty lads throwing bombs is the way to go with this

Evil Vito 04-03-2022 11:41 PM

lol "Brock loves a slow, methodical pace"

You mean the guy who hits a million Germans and an F5 and generally finishes his matches as soon as possible?

Evil Vito 04-03-2022 11:45 PM

I should get around to rewatching that first Roman/Brock Mania match which I remember being this incredibly gritty, cool take on what a Mania main event could look like to see how I feel about it now. I mean, I probably won't, but watching this thing definitely makes me want to.

OssMan 04-03-2022 11:45 PM

finally finished my "capstone project" for masters degree...

GD 04-03-2022 11:45 PM

Fuck yeah! Roman Reigns wins

OssMan 04-03-2022 11:46 PM

damb that felt boring...

Triple A 04-03-2022 11:46 PM

hmm

GD 04-03-2022 11:46 PM

Did I just hear Roman's old theme a bit before the replay?

Shisen Kopf 04-03-2022 11:46 PM

Wonder how owenbrown feels about this?

Stickman 04-03-2022 11:48 PM

I haven't really watched since pre-covid.....Roman is still boring as fuck.

rez 04-03-2022 11:50 PM

Cody should come out and challenge!

Night 1 kicked the absolute shit out of Night 2.

What's more boring, "Oss"Man? The pageantry of WrestleMania or your capstone project?

Roman was on track to beat Goldberg for the title at WM36, but he understandably decided to stay home during the first few months of COVID. He then won the title basically as soon as he came back.

I have to think the heel turn is one of those things they always planned eventually and it probably would've happened around the same time he actually did it (SummerSlam). So it's not inconceivable he'd be two full years into the his title run by this point.

Could quite easily see him actually getting to that mark as is. Dude deserves it.

I had the match on mute while i was going over everything about to submit... was like 5 mins... when i came back the match ended like 5 seconds later

RaginRonic 04-04-2022 12:02 AM

So with WrestleMania 38 now fully complete, and the result of the main event known, here's what's in my head about that now.

Roman Reigns will not have his time on top continue all the way to WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium on April 1-2, 2023. Between now and then, he will drop the title to someone.

He will then get the title back, and then go into Mania 39 as champ.

I'm thinking that the WWE Hall of Fame headline inductee will be The Rock. But I also think that he will face Roman for the title in the overall main event on Night 2.

The Rock won't beat Roman, and then the next night on Raw, The Rock will announce his full retirement from professional wrestling, and then leave to return to Hollywood permanently.

Then, Paul Heyman will betray Roman, cost him the title, and return Roman to babyface status, as the one Paul will align with will become the new champion.

As for Brock Lesnar right now, I'm thinking that he will retire from in-ring competition soon, and spend a long layoff at his home. When he comes back, I see him possibly being the WWE Hall of Fame headline inductee during the weekend of WrestleMania 40 in 2024. He might have one last match then, but on that, my mind is 70-30 against.

I don't know whether to say WrestleMania 38 was good or bad, but I will say, as is the case with all Manias, that it was an insane 2-night ride.

And here's hoping that Cody Rhodes can A] become World Champ within the next 2 years, and B] he tells Vince in the ring to truly take the Forbidden Door apart, and agree to a Pro Wrestling/Sports Entertainment World Series, which I see as a 14-day event in the summer.

But, yeah....WrestleMania's now done, and we wait for the Raw After Mania tomorrow.

=P

By 40 they’ll figure out how to have holograms wrestle and bring back Andre, Hogan, etc. to wrestle some YouTube celebrities.

Very fun 2 nights.

Liked Triple H getting the chance come out and get a proper sendoff.
Feel like Stone Cold caught Vince in the nuts on the Stunner setup kick.
How crazy is it that Vince McMahon had a match more recently than Triple H.
The Jackass stuff was pure comedy, and Sami continues to be the shining example of an entertainer.
None of the tag matches were much to remember.
Edge vs AJ was a great match, loved them both selling injuries the whole match.
Bobby Lashley is pretty awesome.
Butch seems to be playing a version of early Hornswoggle where he is always trying to get involved and Sheamus has to hold him back.
Glad Roman won, but would have liked a more definitive win ala Rock over Stone Cold at Mania 19.
