Mr. Nerfect 09-06-2015 09:21 PM

Yokozuna and The British Bulldog vs. Diesel and Michaels is one. The Brothers of Destruction vs. The Two-Man Power Trip is another. Jeri-Show vs. DX is a third. I wasn't counting Hogan/Beefcake vs. Money, Inc. or The Dream Team vs. The British Bulldogs because they weren't the main event. Sorry, when I said "top billing" I meant the literal top. Last match of the show.

Mr. Nerfect 09-06-2015 09:23 PM

So there's one more.

Bad News Gertner 09-06-2015 11:29 PM

Stone Cold and Taker vs Mankind and Kane for the belts headlined Fully Loaded

Yep. I had this one and IYH3. Couldn't remember BoD/Power Trip or DX/JeriShow

Cool King 09-07-2015 08:23 AM

Damn, you're right.

I completely forgot about that one at Fully Loaded.

Mr. Nerfect 09-07-2015 09:01 PM

That's right. You got them all, guys.

Mr. Nerfect 09-07-2015 09:27 PM

I hope I've got my facts right on this one:

Over the history of WWE PPV -- in the case where a PPV has at least four installments -- there is only one PPV where one man has been in 100% of that PPV's final main events. Which is the PPV and who is the man?

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-07-2015 10:14 PM

John Cena Taboo Tuesday for 3 and Cyber Sunday for 4th. Same show different name.

Mr. Nerfect 09-07-2015 11:31 PM

Sorry, not the correct answer. Here are the Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday main events:

2004: Ric Flair vs. Randy Orton (John Cena didn't actually compete at this show)
2005: John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
2006: John Cena vs. King Booker vs. Big Show
2007: Batista vs. The Undertaker
2008: Chris Jericho vs. Batista

That's 20% attendance rate for John Cena.

It was Triple H @ WWF Insurrextion (2000-2002)/WWE Insurrextion 2003, was it not?

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2015 07:06 AM

Yep, it was Triple H main eventing all four Insurrextion PPVs in the UK. :)

DAMN iNATOR 09-08-2015 09:32 AM

OK.

What was the first televised match under the WWE banner?

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2015 09:00 PM

I actually don't know this, so I did some research into this. I was very pleased to discover that two early ring announcers for the WWWF were "Friendly" Bob Freed and "Smiling" Sam Morgan. Fantastic.

Spike Dudley vs Jamie Noble

Bad News Gertner 09-08-2015 09:46 PM

Which Brit group's song played at the start of the early Piper's Pit?

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2015 11:40 PM

It wasn't The Union Jacks, but it should have been. WOOOOOO!!!!

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2015 11:41 PM

Man, I really miss 3MB. Can you imagine how good that feud with The New Day would be?

Bad News Gertner 09-08-2015 11:57 PM

Lol 3MB were so good. They could have done so many hilarious things with them.

Duran Duran?

Bad News Gertner 09-09-2015 08:30 AM

Nope but you're on the right track

Sixx 09-09-2015 09:58 AM

Pet Shop Boys?

Big Vic 09-09-2015 10:10 AM

Rolling Stones

Bad News Gertner 09-09-2015 12:03 PM

Nope and nope.

Big Vic 09-09-2015 12:08 PM

Mack Morrision

Sixx 09-09-2015 12:10 PM

I'd go with classics like The Who maybe, but if Duran Duran is on the right track then that doesn't seem likely.

Sixx 09-09-2015 12:11 PM

The Cure?

That's more like Duran Duran.

Big Vic 09-09-2015 12:12 PM

Craig Ferguson

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-09-2015 06:18 PM

Twisted Sister.

Very British indeed.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-09-2015 06:23 PM

Don't know much about band origins.

Savio 09-09-2015 07:35 PM

Iron Maiden

Sixx 09-09-2015 08:00 PM

Dire Straits?

Savio 09-09-2015 08:02 PM

Black Sabbath

Bad News Gertner 09-09-2015 08:04 PM

Nope, not yet. The song in question reached #1 in 1983. The group's name has a big place in current wrestling, but for a different reason.

Sixx 09-09-2015 08:07 PM

The Police/Sting?

Sixx 09-09-2015 08:31 PM

In the meantime, name 3 WWE champions that had roles in comic book movies.

Bad News Gertner 09-09-2015 08:46 PM

Nash, Batista, Savage
