Finally finished the game Dishonored on PC.. HOLY FUCK ME. This game's ending almost felt like Mass Effect 3... 2 endings to this one but Wow. Tough choices. Oh well.. Sometimes violence is necessary anyway... Good game.. Felt bad for the future daughter Empress Emily that had to live through this hell hole... :(

Help: How do you get the good ending with a low chaos result in each mission? Let me guess, less killings or no killings at all and you use non lethal takedowns instead? Tried it on normal mode upon replay but I still end up killing because they detected my presence...

Been really into retro gaming lately, so I just beat Mega Man X for the first time a couple days ago. Moving on to X2 and X3 as well.

Was hoping on finishing up Halo 1 as part of a mini-break from Saints Row 2 but found out today that's going to be impossible since the game keeps crashing before the start of the Guilty Spark mission/chapter.

Took a break from Saints Row 2 because of the final mission being a lot more frustrating than it should be.

What did you not like about The Witcher 2?? I thought it was pretty immense..

I'm currently playing Fallout New Vegas (never beat it and the disc got scratched so I rebought it) and Dead Island..

Dead Island is pretty fun but I hope it gets more in depth than just "fetch it" quests..

LoDownM 11-13-2012 02:10 AM

I don't remember, I'm sure it's somewhere in this thread.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

Nice atmosphere, it's good to have more to do in the frontier, and I like the new mounts.

However, the combat is a bit disappointing in that the zombies are never really a threat, even in great numbers. They're easily dispatched, slow, and don't inflict much damage.
I also have a feeling that running around between towns to keep saving them is going to become a tedious chore pretty quickly.

I'm only about 2 1/2 hours in, so there's still room to grow, and while I don't think it compares to the main game, it's still pretty fun.

Yup. Non lethal takedowns using the choke or sleep darts. Can't leave bodies out in the open either. Not sure if you can just leave them in the shadows, or if you have to put them in a dumpster. I'm on a non-lethal run now as well. Much tougher, but if you are creative, you can work around it.

It does get better once you get further into it, I found it the same the way, you can ignore the towns indefinitely I think but its a good way to stock up on ammo.

I got Star Wars: The Old Republic free to play a few days ago and so far it's pretty fun, there's premium stuff I would like but there's no way I'm subscribing.

So pissed, was 5 hours into XCOM and can't advance anymore because there is a bug when two things are going on at once on the holograph that causes the game to stop loading. Don't wanna start over :(

Pretty good. Was very fun in the beginning. The game looked sharp and overall the voice actors nailed their parts. The story seemed rushed in the 3rd act. Rehashing antagonists from the 1st/2nd movie works fine for a video game but it would have been awful for a 3rd movie which makes me seriously doubt this was considered for the plot for the 3rd movie. It got boring near the end but I'm not a HUGE GB fan so maybe it wasn't for most. Multiplayer was fine. I only played maybe a half hour of it. But it's fine for arena-based whatnot. Good stuff. Will start Sanctum of Slime tonight.

Working on: Sanctum of Slime, The Walking Dead, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Game of Thrones, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Deus Ex, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Test Drive: Ferrari, Blops 2, Spelunky, Dead Space 1&2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revalations, Dear Esther, Trine 2, Super Meat Boy, Soul Calibur V, Metal Gear Solid Collection, maybe Portal 2 co-op

Goozex is vomiting games at me right now. Partly because I'm worried the site is on it's last legs so I took a lot of shit off hold about 2 months ago and just now it's starting to hit me like a tidal wave. I have a feeling most of these games are going to be placed in a corner for a while but I'm going to try to knock them out as fast as I can.

Well that didn't take long. After 1 level, I was not impressed. After the 2nd level, I was bored. I started the 3rd level and said "fuck this". It's pretty awful and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it.

Roxer has finished 31 games in just under 11 months. Which means on average he finishes a game once every ten days. That is insane.

RoXer 11-22-2012 11:47 PM

19 really. Excluding games I didn't play, quick indie games, sports games I played for a weekend (like Madden) etc.

Bout to finish Spiderman too with something like 8 hours played.

Pintint 11-23-2012 12:00 AM

Started on Alone In The Dark 4. Bought it a while ago for PC but haven't gotten around it due to backlog.
Pretty fun so far, will probably stick to it. Compability sucks on Win 7 though.

Not meant as an insult but do you have a job? If so, where do you find the time to finish that many?

A game sensei walks among us. You must bow in silent respect rather than question his game conquering powers. Even the lengthiest of games quiver in anticipation at the sight of Roxer's enormous thumbs.

El Fangel 11-23-2012 12:29 AM

I am imagining RoXer wallowing in a sea of Mountain Dew Energy and bags of Doritos. Red eyed with a pillow behind his head for the sleep he allows himself during loading screens.

RoXer 11-23-2012 12:31 AM

Only thing I've put time into is Dark Souls and MLB:The Show. Mostly everything else was beaten on a weekend.

RoXer 11-23-2012 12:33 AM

And Mass Effect

El Fangel 11-23-2012 12:36 AM

How many hours would you say you play during a weekend? I simply can't find time to play 3+ hours anymore these days and looking at my backlog is depressing me. Don't think ill ever get caught up.

Interesting concept but in the end it didn't feel too much different from any other beat em up type. I wish the stealth sections were a little smoother and a bit brighter. Got repetitive pretty quick to the point where I just swinged on past enemies to the next checkpoint. Solid voiceovers, for the most part.

Yet another I game I hardly played. I played enough of it to know that I shouldn't be playing it. I tried a quick race on normal to see if the disc works and I had a hell of a time controlling the car. When I tried playing again later, same thing happened so I fiddled around with the "sensitivity" and "dead zone" settings but cars still handled like tugboats. I tried paying on easy but then the car would brake for you no matter what and I wasn't having any of that.

It looks pretty good at least. A lot of (locked) cars and tracks to choose from. I tried the very first mission in campaign to unlock stuff, spun out 3 times and figured that's enough for me.

Things might be different with a race wheel but who knows. I don't have these problems with Forza or Gran Turismo.

What does that have to do with anything other than the fact that I work alot so I can't beat 56 games a year??
