Farve stats were 0 for 1, 0 yds, and 1 INT before getting knocked out of the game. No way Minnesota starts him the next game if he's even healthy since they wasted too many weeks when they could have been developing a new QB or Jackson more.

Every week I don't think it is possible for the Bengals to be worse in a 2 minute warning but this might have been one of the worst just from the time wasting and nobody adjusting for the blitz given away by Saints defense.

Meanwhile Peyton Manning throws another INT.

Crimson 12-05-2010 05:01 PM

Yea..no chance Favre gets benched there buddy.

D Mac 12-05-2010 06:36 PM

CHIEFS! Ugly game. But we'll take it.

D Mac 12-05-2010 06:37 PM

Did the Bungles lose again? I missed it. Did they lose? Did they?

D Mac 12-05-2010 06:42 PM

Chiefs - Rams Super Bowl. Calling it now.

Boomer 12-05-2010 06:58 PM

Falcons game has been ridiculous.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 07:21 PM

No playoffs for Peyton this year.

Starting to think they were just sandbagging at the start of the season just to get rid of Phillips. Seems to have payed off I'd say. New coach is 3-1.

Droford 12-05-2010 07:44 PM

LOL at the Colts and Chargers not making the playoffs.

the Chiefs and Jaguars will get bounced in the Wild Card round and we'll be left with a really awesome final four in the AFC (Pats/Jets/Steelers/Ravens)

The NFC is also shaped up pretty much aside from the West, though one of the Eagles/Giants/Bears/Packers/Falcons/Saints won't make it.

SammyG 12-05-2010 07:50 PM

Yeah Rams babaaayyyyyy. WHAT UP WADDING. Well, I guess you're a Rams fan too, somehow, so I dunno if I can talk shit. Anyway, that week 17 game @ Seattle is prolly gonna end up being huge.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 07:57 PM

Seriously Sammy, the rams suck. They are in an awful division, the winner of it probably won't even be at .500. Their just playing for the right to get blown out on Wild Card Weekend.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 07:58 PM

But then again, as a Rams fan you havent had much for the last 6 years.

Colts and Chargers can both make it. Chargers have a huge game next week at KC.

SammyG 12-05-2010 08:03 PM

Yeah, this is huge. And hey, screw that, we have beaten some alright teams this year. Beating Seattle was good for us, first time in a long time, same with Arizona. Not saying those teams are really good. We beat SD at home. We beat Washington at home. Who knows, we are playing really well right now, wouldn't be shocked if we beat the Saints in New Orleans. Not expecting it obviously, but would be sweet. To go from 6-44 in the last 3 years, to winning the division this year? I don't care if we have togo 7-9 to win it, a playoff seed would be awesome.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 08:08 PM

New Orleans almost lost to today, and shoulda lost last week. Saints are not as good as some would let you believe....

So maybe St Louis gets a win over a crediable oppanent next week.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 08:09 PM

Gotta watch out for them Seahawks though, about the only time all season that will be said.

SammyG 12-05-2010 08:15 PM

I think the Rams could take Dallas, right now, as well, although I dunno, since Philips got fired, they're playin' way better. Interim coach usually equals a spark, although I didn't think it'd last this long. Shame that Dallas started off so shitty, or they could be competing for a playoff spot. Only would be 2 games out in our division, which is funny. Yeah, a W over NO in the Superdome would be sick. I don't care what it takes, I want us to make the playoffs hardcore.

RoXer 12-05-2010 08:36 PM

Yeah Wadding, TAKE THAT

SammyG 12-05-2010 08:39 PM

Oh yeah, screw you Roxer :)

Droford 12-05-2010 08:43 PM

awesome chant

Nervous Ferret 12-05-2010 08:43 PM

Good lord please stop showing his crooked ass nose. So gross

Droford 12-05-2010 08:50 PM

lol at the steelers saying his nose isn't broken.

His nose is as broken as the bone in his foot

McLegend 12-05-2010 09:03 PM

Flacco is looking pretty good right now.

CSL 12-05-2010 10:18 PM

Just saw some of the hits Harrison has been fined for on MNF, I can understand the Young and Massaquoi ones but why exactly was he fined for those hits on Brees and Fitzpatrick?

McLegend 12-05-2010 10:29 PM

The Brees hit I don't understand either.

He was fined for the Fitzpatrick hit, because he led with his helmet against a helpless player.

Nervous Ferret 12-05-2010 10:40 PM

Ugh so grossed out by that hit

Turning into such a huge pussy

parkmania 12-05-2010 10:41 PM

Where the fuck was the flag on that leading with the helmet hit?

The Rooneys and the entire Steelers roster need to hold a press conference tomorrow and say FUCK YOU ROGER BADELL!

Nervous Ferret 12-05-2010 10:44 PM

The ref blew the call. The league is not out to screw the Steelers. I'm sure he'll get fined for it

That is a wimpy man's prediction. Roll the dice every once in a while baby.

DrA 12-05-2010 11:14 PM

Also it is way too early to assume that neither the Colts nor the Chargers will make the playoffs. Usually the playoff picture during the last couple of weeks of the season changes pretty sporadically. I thought people learned that for good with the 4-8 Chargers a couple of years back.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 11:36 PM

Joe Flacco is garbage.

You can eliminate the Colts if they lose to the Jags again in 2 weeks. It would put the Jags up 2 games with 3 to go and the tiebreaker.

As for the Chargers, if they lose to the Chiefs this week they're done because it would put them 3 games back with 3 to go and the Chiefs would have the have the tiebreaker based on 2-0 sweep, as would the Raiders. Even if they win, they still have to worry about the Raiders.

Also, unless the Ravens deal with an Epic Collapse (which is I suppose possible), they're going into the playoffs as the 6 seed with the loss tonight which would mean a trip to Jacksonville/KC. Sucks that they lost tonight.

IC Champion 12-05-2010 11:54 PM

lol, droford.

Droford 12-06-2010 12:08 AM

I dont see whats so funny. Id be willing to bet having an avatar on it if either of them make the playoffs.

If the Chargers lose to the Chiefs this weekend, its impossible for them to win the division and they would be 6-7, best case scenario is a 9-7 finish. The Jets/Patriots/Steelers both have 9 wins already and the Ravens have 8 so a wild card would be highly improbable unless the Ravens lose out (and they have Houston/NOLA/Cincy/Cleveland left..if they lose out they deserve to not make the playoffs).

The Colts at least have a better shot, but they have to beat the Jags in 2 weeks (as well as beat the Titans this thursday on short rest in Tennessee), otherwise they'd be two games back with two to go and the Jags have the tiebreaker. Right now I dont think they can beat the Jags. If they beat the Jags then they'd be tied and it would be a crapshoot because their opponents are pretty lousy last two weeks (Colts have Raiders and Titans, Jags have Redskins and Texans)

Nervous Ferret 12-06-2010 12:12 AM

Anything can happen on Monday Night RAW!

Droford 12-06-2010 12:24 AM

Im willing to bet having an avatar on neither of them making it...

someone take me up..you win (if either of them make it) and you choose the avatar..I'll keep it up until they lose in the playoffs.

I'll even point out that if the Colts win out, they have the tiebreaker over the Jags according to the ESPN Playoff thing.

and heres what needs to happen for them both to make it

Ermaximus 12-06-2010 02:14 AM

So pumped. Leonhard being out sucks. The last time I was this excited for a regular season game was the Thursday night game in 2008 with Favre/Cassel. Jets were 8-3 after that game and missed the playoffs. :'(

Ermaximus 12-06-2010 12:22 PM

Hope the Jets smoke the Patriots. Seriously, want them to straight up demolish them tonight.

Honestly though Im pulling for KC to mess up and Jacksonville to pull ahead because Jacksonville is beatable.

That would mean us having to beat the loser of the Pats/Jets game at home. I think we are 0-3 vs the Pats in the playoffs and 1-1 vs. the Jets. Either way, I don't see us beating either team tbh.

Team Sheep 12-06-2010 03:57 PM

I could see every road team winning on wild card weekend the way things are going.

Nervous Ferret 12-06-2010 06:22 PM

McDaniels fired.

Cool

FearedSanctity 12-06-2010 06:26 PM

Dunno, the wording of this is weird. Says he's been "relieved of his head coaching duties". When the fired Mike they flat out said fired. Denver has NO qualified interim-HC options, so I have no fucking clue about this.

Should've just waited

Eric Studesville is the interim coach

FearedSanctity 12-06-2010 07:40 PM

Aww, Bowlen must've been scared for attendance for the last 2 home games because I see no benefit to firing your HC with all of 4 games left and replacing him with some guy who's probably never been heard of outside his immediate family.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-06-2010 07:44 PM

Ladies and gentlemen... your winner... Jay Cutler.

Team Sheep 12-06-2010 10:47 PM

Fucking hell. Can't believe this.

Nervous Ferret 12-06-2010 10:49 PM

We can do this, gang. Score and get a stop before the end of the 3rd

Then just score 3 touchdowns and completely shut the Pats down in the 4th and we've got overtime!

Team Sheep 12-06-2010 10:55 PM

Had some stupid certainty that the Jets would go 8-0 on the road and 6-0 in the division this year. I'm crushed. Fucking stupid.

Team Sheep 12-06-2010 10:55 PM

Jets completely exposed. Steelers and Bears away coming up. OH GOD.

McLegend 12-06-2010 11:16 PM

The Patriots are good.

Emperor Smeat 12-06-2010 11:36 PM

Jets 3
Patriots 45

Brady breaks most wins in a row at home and Brady/BB now 10 wins away from most wins by a QB/coach combo.

Jets become 1-3 against teams with winning records this season.

Jeritron 12-07-2010 01:28 AM

Brady gets like 8 new records a week

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-07-2010 02:05 AM

This is the remaining schedule for both teams. Two tough games for both teams coming up in recent weeks. Jets will be playing a rejuvenated Pittsburg and the Pats face the Bears and Packers in the next two weeks.

I predict Pats and Jets to beat the bills and the dolphins. It will all come down to the Bears, Packers and Pittsburgh.

Jets: Miami, Pittsburgh, Bears, Bills.
Pats: Bears, Packers, Bills, Dolphins.

All games remaining are common opponents.

Common Opponents:

Head to Head: No Advantage (1-1)
Bills: both won (1 to go)
Miami: both won (1 to go)
Ravens Advantage Pats
Browns Advantage Jets
Packers Jets Lost so far.
Bears Not Played
Steelers: Patriots won so far

Team Sheep 12-07-2010 08:02 AM

The Jets pass defense hasn't showed up this year. And they're not getting enough pressure on quarterbacks like they were last year. Watching last night was horrible, because when Brady gets that many seconds alone in the pocket he's just going to complete every time. With Leonhard out for the year, I worry for the defense, which is supposed to be our bread and butter. Way too many pass interference calls and getting burned down field.

Hanso Amore 12-07-2010 12:32 PM

Denver will be paying 3 head coaches next year.

Like 7 Million to Shanahan, 3.5 Million to McDaniels, and whatever they pay the new coach

Hanso Amore 12-07-2010 12:33 PM

I have always hated Brady, but games like last night, it just amazes me what he does. THat team without him would be worse than the Lions talent wise. SUch amazing coaching and QB play.

FearedSanctity 12-07-2010 12:34 PM

Thanks for almost eliminating me from the fantasy playoffs Brady

Redskins have suspended Haynesworth for the next 4 games for "conduct detrimental to the team." Nice to see them bookend the season with issues with him like they came in.

IC Champion 12-07-2010 03:30 PM

Redskins are still a joke, not as big a joke, but still a joke.

IC Champion 12-07-2010 03:32 PM

Seriously, who the fuck pays a nosetackle 20 million a year. Trade him, or release him, keeping him is pointless and counter productive at the point, just like it was in the off season.

Jeritron 12-07-2010 04:24 PM

They apparently haven't looked at the tie-breakers and the rules of playoff berths/byes, because they talk like the Jets have a lot of outs.

Jeritron 12-07-2010 04:28 PM

I'm talking about the division obviously. Having the bye week and homefield is huge for any team, but it really benefits a team like NE or NY

Innovator 12-07-2010 04:48 PM

It makes the Miami game next week massive for them

parkmania 12-07-2010 05:38 PM

Probably the biggest game left on the Jets schedule is in 2 weeks in Pittsburgh. Steelers have the best chance of taking the #1 away from them. Steelers other 3 opponents are a combined 8-28.

Jeritron 12-08-2010 01:45 AM

The Steelers need to win that game too

The reason I really just hate the Jets more than any rival is because of how much shit they talk. And they haven't won shit since before I was born. I don't know if the new-found hubris comes from Rex Ryan, but he certainly encourages it.
I don't care if the Pats are brainwashed or whatever. It's discipline. They exectue, and they don't pander to the media all week.
That's why them talking on the field was so satisfying to watch.

And I can't believe Rex Ryan would even say something like "If we played them again it would be a different story" today. That's not just moving on and having pride. It's just being an idiot.
Honestly, just shut the fuck up already. I completely understand why the Pats loathe the Jets, and I wish they kept piling it on tbh. There are times when it's called for.

Jeritron 12-08-2010 01:53 AM
