ECW Hardcore Revolution too

Never played the ECW game but I heard terrible things.

Literally all I need is for the wrestling gameplay to be fun. That’s all that matters. Gameplay sucks, the game sucks. Pretty simple.

Don’t care about any of the optional mini games but don’t see the point in bitching about them UNLESS the core gameplay sucks, which none of us can know yet.

People have been trying to replicate the AKI engine for 20 years to no avail.

To be fair, I would have loved wacky minigames in the N64 Wrestling Games

The point is that whatever time they spent making all those mini games would have been time better spent on something wrestling fans actually give a shit about.

It's not a good sign.

Super AEW Party Allstars

So I actually like AEW for the most part but I just feel like the last few months have been a downhill slide. I know the injury bug got them hard, but even so, the quality has been dropping hard imo. We keep having these special shows and gimmick matches and none of it feels like it matters. There aren't really any compelling storylines rn imo. Feel like even match quality has dropped a bit and they try to compensate with all these crazy gimmicks and blood in every match and it just comes off flat and overworked. They are taking too long to do anything with MJF and it's basically being ignored. Wardlow was on fire and I dunno if it's just me but it feels like he has already cooled off way too much. Just the whole product feels off compared to where it was a year ago.

And they really picked the worst time to shit the bed. Well maybe not shit, but def dutch ovened. Vince is gone and WWE is picking up steam and they've hardly even done anything yet. IF (and thats a big if) WWE keeps turning it around and improving...man I feel like AEW might fall off into loltna territory.

I dunno, just want them to get their shit together and be more fun like it was. Maybe their new 2 VPs of creative (Sonjay and QT) will be able to work some magic. Even putting other guys in creative and implying it won't all be TK is a good sign there imo. Dunno how good these 2 will be at the job but I'm interested to see where they take it. Honestly don't expect much before the next big PPV but I'm hoping they start picking up steam from there.

Oh and please for the love God can you at least save one of the 2 biggest matches on a card for the end of the show? Christ. I use the term a good bit, but damn TK really does blow his load way too early on basically every show. I am nowhere near as interested in the last hour and 15 minutes as I am the first 45. It just fades away into the background noise and only occasionally gets my attention after that.

It's a chore getting through 3 hours of RAW but at least I know something entertaining is prob gonna happen at the end. Keeps me more invested overall.

I’m not a mini game kinda guy in almost any game so that’s meh for me but there’s a lot of “bells and whistles” I don’t use in a lot of games so them existing don’t worry me so long as there not forced on me.

I kind of enjoyed the TNA game, I’m a bit of a sucker for just being able to have the right wrestlers represented with the right music and entrances etc.

If it’s a fairly easy play and has that im in.

I agree with your post almost entirely, except I’d argue they have been LolTNA for a loooooong time already.

Thing is there's still so little information about the game or its features that we can't really know what, if anything, was left out that fans will be upset about not being in the game.

Like if story/campaign mode or whatever ends up being short or underwhelming, then absolutely it might come back to "well maybe they could've done more with this if they didn't waste time on those stupid mini-games", but we really don't know yet what the mini-games came at the expense of.

I'm okay with the addition of mini-games so long as they're just that: additions. Rather than being in lieu of something core wrestling gamers would've reasonably expected.

One thing that threw me off...a few months ago they'd been prepping people for the in-game roster to be a lot smaller than people were expecting, around 50 was the number being thrown out.

So to see Abadon and Yuka Sakazaki being shown in the latest clips caught me off guard. That would seemingly point to the roster being a lot bigger than initially reported as I wouldn't for one second have entertained the idea of them being on a 50-person roster. They're barely ever on TV.

Pretty sure Owen was already confirmed to be in the game.

Kenny also said that the roster and story were meant to be reflective of AEW history up until the turn of 2022. So it would make sense that Cody is in there as you literally can’t tell the story of AEW without him.

If I were the money man behind the business, the first thing I would do would be remove Tony Khan from booking duties, since he has no real experience or qualification for the job outside of being a fan.

Unfortunately for AEW, those two people are one in the same, and they are stuck as long as his ego persuades him that he can do it all.

What brilliant angles has TK come up with? Which feuds have actually picked up steam and been worthwhile? Even at best, even if you love AEW, you have to admit he is a maintenance booker.

Gabe Sapolsky is probably going to end up back in WWE now. Triple H might also pick up Delirious.

Battle of the Belts shows have sucked so far. Typical AEW. Claudio vs. Takeshita has me intrigued though. I just wish it wasn’t for a zombie title.

TK's genius idea is literally booking his shows like January 1998 Raw. They did the exact dumpster spot, but like everything AEW rips off, they did it poorly. They could not push the dumpster straight, or even push it at all lol. Built up no real speed, and even JR who called both, was pretty flat.

That whole match was made to rip off that spot. Pathetic fanboy booking.

Punk is a bit cringy. He hasn’t been there in a long-ass time and is kind of desperately trying to position everyone against WWE, whom he did try and seek employment from since this “war” started. He’s kind of appropriating the dramas of these women into his story, which is totally uncalled for. It’s going to look even more awkward if Sasha works things out with WWE and leaves him holding his nuts in the wind.

I’m not sure how keen Sasha Banks is to sign with a company that steadily pushes a guy who said he wants to rape her. I’m sure she’s just dying to get into a locker room with women who actively bang the guy too.

Fightful is reporting that people within AEW think MJF still wants out. A lot of fans are adamant this is work, but can anyone tell me what the point of all this is? What does anyone gain from MJF being off TV?
