Yes, that argument is a really Mark type of argument, but considering who he was talking to, I mean what else does Tiny Khan even respond to?

Mr. Nerfect 07-30-2022 02:51 AM

Yeah, if it were true, TK probably would have changed his mind.

Sepholio 07-30-2022 07:00 AM

It just reminded me of when Danhausen snapped in a video promo about how he was promised #1 in the PWI and they lied to him. Except he was joking and Gresham apparently takes PWI very super seriously.

Jordan 07-30-2022 08:45 AM

I don't like Danhausen. Sorry to those who've put their full fait in this character, but it sucks. I don't watch GCW or wherever he came from so I don't "get the joke" or whatever.
From what I've seen on AEW though it's not good. To those who enjoy it, I'm glad you're happy about Danhausen. To me though, it's just a waste of time.

Sepholio 07-30-2022 09:07 AM

Its ok. I'm not mad at you for your terrible opinion. Also you've been cursed for not loving that Danhausen.

I read Danhausen as Danielson here and was very confused.

It's a HUGE play on the old school Nosferatu character from the black and white film days. He is a huge horror fan, including the B-Cheese movies, and plays that up with his character.

It's unique, and works in small doses. Too much of it though, and it gets very old very quick. He will be a good enhancement talent for people to get wins over, and is recognizable enough to give the W to here and there.

Fignuts 07-30-2022 12:01 PM

He'd be great as a host for late night horror b movies. Don't care for him in this enviornment.

Destor 07-30-2022 12:06 PM

He'd have made a fine guest on Joe Bob's Drive-in Theater

#1-norm-fan 07-30-2022 12:58 PM

I discovered Danhausen through Jim Cornette, oddly enough. He would watch his cameos on his podcast and they were hilarious.

#1-norm-fan 07-30-2022 01:01 PM

If you’re discussing your outlaw mud show bullshit comedy wrestling and making Jim Cornette of all people laugh WITH you and not AT you about the subject, that’s a pretty big compliment.

Destor 07-30-2022 01:21 PM

The problem with Danhausen only exists if he wins. Unlike Cassidy who's issues crop up if he isnt completely obliterated always

Destor 07-30-2022 01:21 PM

Comedy undercard guy is totally fine though

#1-norm-fan 07-30-2022 01:40 PM

I think the best use for him is an occasional interviewer/analyst. Maybe even give him a talk show segment. Have him do some ridiculous stuff on the YouTube channel too.

I don’t need to see him wrestle. Like you said, he shouldn’t be winning and there’s only so many times you can milk him getting obliterated for heat. A comedy match where he beats a weasel manager or something once in a blue moon would be fine though.

Destor 07-30-2022 01:50 PM

Fluke comedy finishes are also acceptable.slipped on a banana peel stuff. Ref didnt see some bullshit from a guy his opponent is fueding with etc. You have to take active care in how you handle his finishes. He never just go out there and have a match.

XL 07-30-2022 02:54 PM

Agree. He’s a great personality to have around but the value is in others having to play it straight opposite him. I wouldn’t be using him in the ring all that much.

Mr. Nerfect 07-30-2022 03:03 PM

He could host an auxiliary show fine. Tighten up Dark and make it Danhausen’s thing.

This is why they need to lean more on his gimmick and have him use the jar of teeth like he did in the indies. It's never gonna work if he just straight up wrestles and always gets demolished. Give him some tricks to work with.

An overly-large hammer kinda like the Fiend's, but moar funny, a flower that sprays sputa instead of water, other crap.

Sepholio 08-01-2022 11:46 AM

Overly large hammer reminds me of the Bludgeon Brothers

Why he gotta do everything his bf Phil does

Mr. Nerfect 08-01-2022 03:09 PM

Hey now, he didn’t jump into a crowd like a dickhead. That I’ve seen anyway.

Dude got hurt carrying the wrestling portion of this program.

Sting Fan 08-03-2022 01:32 AM

Pretty excited for the AEW game. I havent purchased a WWE game in a few years but my wife got me the 2K one with AJ styles as the cover whatever year that is.

I will put down the cash for AEW in hopes of something a bit different.

Helmsphere 08-03-2022 02:30 AM

2k22 is actually pretty good.

Mr. Nerfect 08-03-2022 05:21 AM

I’ve heard good things about 2k22, although I haven’t played a WWE game in years. A lot of people are suggesting you just download AEW wrestlers for that. The AEW game itself is projected to be terrible. The head developer ran for the hills and joined the 2k team.

screech 08-03-2022 08:08 AM

2k22 is v fun. Really looking forward to the AEW game, especially since I read it's coming to PC

Evil Vito 08-03-2022 08:39 AM

2k22 is the first WWE game I've played in years and the first game that seemed like they really made positive changes.

Still not a whole lot of footage out on the AEW game so I'll wait and see but I'm keen to check it out. Might be a bit more arcade-y which I'm fine with. I've got Fire Pro if I want more like simulation wrestling.

drave 08-03-2022 10:13 AM

The official site is now live

https://aew.thqnordic.com/

Not a whole lot more available than what was already known. Definitely getting vibes of the N64 wrestling games tho, which is NOT a bad thing.

Splaya 08-03-2022 11:30 AM

Danhaussen sucks. Can't wrestle. And the gimmick is boring. When AEW came to Detroit, the darlings there went apeshit for him...I just don't see it.

Mr. Nerfect 08-03-2022 03:45 PM

They released a trailer for the game and it looks horrible.

Sepholio 08-03-2022 03:49 PM

Splaya woke up today and chose to be cursed.

xrodmuc316 08-03-2022 04:21 PM

Ahh the game that they spent like $50 million to make that the Cultist have been saying will sell 5 million copies for 2 years, because 5 times more people will buy the game then watch the actual show. Dubbalos man

They are 100% not going for "realistic". That has been clear from the beginning. It closely resembles the N64 days of "WCW/NWO Revenge" and "Wrestlemania 2000".

If the game plays closely to those titles, it will sell very well.

screech 08-03-2022 04:31 PM

Love danhausen. Makes me laugh. Would like to see him interrupt more backstage interviews.

screech 08-03-2022 04:34 PM

I'm not excited about some of the minigame shit I saw in the AEW game trailer but it looks like the THQ/AKI N64 games so I'll be good if it plays anything like those.

(Though even if it plays like WWE 2k22 I'll be good. I like those controls. Don't really give a shit about graphics/art style). Just give me decent controls at the very least.)

They hyped the old school easy controls which, for a non-gamer like me is a selling point. I tend to revert to button mashing when I play newer wrestling games.

#1-norm-fan 08-03-2022 04:46 PM

It’s been a while but I think it was “WWF Attitude” where wrestling games started that “up, up, right, down, right, B to clothesline” ridiculousness and I just couldn’t anymore.

screech 08-03-2022 04:53 PM

War Zone and Attitude were like that. Terrible.
