Watched Taker vs. Mankind at Revenge of the Taker and Michaels vs. Mankind at Mind Games last night and it made me miss so much from those days. Even if the violence had been toned down, the matches were epic. The commentary was epic. The Mankind character was fucking brilliant. Such a different world.

I don't remember the Rock and Jericho's second exchange.

I don't know how many people know about this site but I just recently discovered it and it's awesome. Got results for seemingly every show from every organization ever. (Obviously it doesn't but it's as close as I've seen. Even had the results of a random indy show I saw when I was 11 and couldn't even remember the fed.)

Though they did leave Eve and Victoria off the "Active Workers On This Show" section. They didn't have a match, but they had a brawl in the ring.

I've seen that one. It's good but I like cage match more for it covering every fed from the biggest to the most unknown and pre-WWWF stuff. I found it by looking for an old APW show in front of probably 90 people back in '95. Tournament histories for every fed too is kinda cool. Seems easier to navigate too.

Alberto Del Rio hates The Miz

Quote:

Thanks to Christopher Solis and prowrestling.net for the following Alberto Del Rio interview highlights from 95.7 The Game in San Francisco...

- Del Rio was asked which wrestlers don't get along or that he doesn't like. "The Miz," Del Rio said. "I hate The Miz. This is not part of the show. I really dislike like that guy. I've tried to punch him in the face several times, not in the ring, I mean outside the ring. He's like a little girl. He's always running away from me..."

When the hosts joked that he and Miz are probably too similar, Del Rio disagreed. "There's a big difference between The Miz and I," Del Rio said. "I'm a real athlete. He's just a loud, stupid little kid. He's one of those guys who was probably bullied when he was in school and that's the reason now that he's so loud and he wants to get attention from everybody."

I dunno, from what I've read, the problem with Miz is that when he was coming up Raw a few years ago, he was hungry and pushed creative to feature him on the show and now that he's been demoted to mid-card again, it seems he's not working as hard as before.

Jura 02-10-2012 11:11 PM

To me the Miz will always be that frat boy I saw on the Real World.

Emperor Smeat 02-10-2012 11:25 PM

I don't completely blame him if he's loosing the desire or the focus he had compared to a year ago because of how much of a drop he's had since last year's Mania. The biggest reason being how badly the WWE has rushed or poorly planned their stuff once Cena vs Rock got locked up a day after last year's Mania.

Punk had the same issue before the Summer of Punk and even he had trouble keeping his momentum strong. Del Rio's 2 title reigns got rushed so that the WWE would have him as champion before the Mexico trip.

Hes got a hardon for punk for some reason, theres a snide comment in every article he writes.

it's because he's a miserable super smarky little bitch. I mean, I don't think Punk is the "best in the world" and Jericho is a bit overrated but Fin Martin just takes the piss. A few years ago his "critiques" could be quite entertaining/funny but now it's just "whingggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

Sputnik was a wrestler in the 60s and early 70s in Memphis and he got arrested for being at a black establishment as he was white

well this clip goes into more detail about how he got the Memphis territory desegragated for the black fans who had to sit in the crows nest

as well as into detail about his arrest

this is from the Memphis Heat documentary on the history of Memphis Wrestling
