Sir Michael Caine, who plays Alfred in Christopher Nolan's Batman movies, told Digital Spy at the premiere for Inception last night at London's Leicester Square that the third film will get underway in April for a July 20, 2012 release. You can watch the interview clip below.

Just watched Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. It's hilarious how Superman and Batman always get their asses kicked until the last few seconds of the fight.

It's called rope-a-dope, and Muhammed Ali made it famous.

dronepool 07-14-2010 04:46 PM

I loved Under The Red Hood, go look for it and check it out.

This Joker is the animated counterpart of Heath. Insane.

Looks like trash. Don't know why they couldn't have done something a bit more traditional. Throw some black in there. Not a fan on the "veins" either. Ryan Reynolds also definitely looking more like Kyle Rayner than Hal Jordan.

But perhaps this all green "veiny" look is only for when he is all MAXIMUM POWER? One can hope. Like maybe it looks different when he's just standing around, but when he's doing some heavy green-power stuff he starts to become all green like that. Not likely, but as I said, one can hope.

Furthermore.... There's a new Buffy?

Jeritron 07-15-2010 02:07 PM

The real question is what does an entirely CGI suit look like in action. It's one thing to render it for a studio still picture and touch it up for a magazine cover. It flying around on screen, on a living actor, is another question.
I'm curious to see some footage.

alvarado52 07-15-2010 04:23 PM

Holyshit that thing is ugly. Might look better in motion, but damn, ive seen better photoshop jobs.

That is FAR too much green.

Wasnt DG and Gen13 both done by the same team?

Looks good

Dunno, but I liked DG a whole lot more.

The art in DG was done by Joe Madeiura(sp?) so I know that was different.

according to Wiki
Quote:

Campbell is best known as the original artist and co-creator of Genął and Danger Girl.

In 1998, Campbell, together with fellow comics artists Joe Madureira and Humberto Ramos, founded the Cliffhanger imprint as part of Wildstorm Productions. He then launched his comic series Danger Girl through this imprint. The story, which followed the adventures of a group of female secret agents, made the most of Campbell's talents drawing well-endowed women and dramatic action sequences.

Agreed.

Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen was CGI added on later. The actor wore a mocap suit.

Jeritron 07-16-2010 01:58 AM

Yes, but Dr. Manhattan is pretty stagnant. He is either standing around being melancholy or floating into a room and doing all of his damage without flexing any muscle.
Green Lantern will see a lot more movement and action.

Funky Fly 07-16-2010 02:01 AM

You could see his dick, tho.

Jeritron 07-16-2010 02:03 AM

Not in action, unfortunately

Funky Fly 07-16-2010 02:04 AM

Probably for the best. Since it glows in the dark, we could probably see it through Silk Spectre's body when he'd be taxing it

Jeritron 07-16-2010 02:08 AM

Tastes like a battery

Jeritron 07-16-2010 02:09 AM

I don't even think that picture of Green Lantern looks bad, for the record. I just have suspcisions that it might look "a bit shit" when it's in motion. Going as far as to CGI the mask seems a trifle uneccessary

Funky Fly 07-16-2010 02:52 AM

They're gonna have to spend assloads on it or it'll look like Iceman in X3.

Lock Jaw 07-16-2010 12:06 PM

Looking at it again, I dunno if I'm just fooling myself, but it looks like the arm has hints of black, and also hints of white around the hand (glove). Everything is just bathed in green light in the pic, so its kinda hard to tell.

Smallville 10 SDCC Notes:

* Moderator Geoff Johns announced that he will again be writing an episode this season, and revealed it would introduce Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Asked which Blue Beetle it would be, Johns said we'd see Jaime Reyes and Skeets, and added, "And you might even see Ted Kord."

* Darkseid will indeed be in Season 10, though executive producer Brian Peterson said he'd be, "In a little different form than you're used to. Hopefully you'll like it."

* Now that Lois knows Clark is The Blur, Erica Durance joked, "She can use it against him later, I think. That's a true woman. " She continued, "[She has] the opportunity to have a little power over Clark, which is nice for Lois – and yet still protect him and encourage him to be the hero that he is." She smiled and added, "Then she'll get impatient and say, 'What's up?'"

* Will Clark wear the iconic red and blue suit this year? All Peterson would say was, "Tom is in a little different change up from the black suit last year."

* Of course, the question of whether Lex Luthor would return came up from an audience member. They had no definitive answer, but executive producer Kelley Souders said, "Nothing would make me happier than to have Rosey back." She added, "If you want him back, let him know," to the audience – who cheered loudly, showing that yes indeed, they'd like to see Rosenbaum back on the show.

* As to whether Clark will fly finally, Peterson simply said, "Well we all know how the comics turn out, so I think that's probably the answer for that."

* When the producers were asked if they had anything on their "bucket list" they wanted to include in Season 10, Kelly Souders noted, "You'll see some very handpicked images all through the season and it will all culminate in the finale." Peterson said they threw a lot of big images/moments they'd wanted to do for awhile in the show's 200th episode, airing this fall.

* Other introductions will include, "a couple of characters from the Suicide Squad and some of Darkseid's harbingers," according to Souders.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo

Wonder Woman was a LOT of fun. I enjoyed that movie immensely. Crisis on two Worlds was okay.

Ryan hooks a kid up at the end.

not a fan of that costume, i can't put my finger on why though. definitely looks more rayner than jordan overall.

Kalyx triaD 07-27-2010 03:10 AM

The coolest thing about the suit being a template for CGI skin is that they could paint better skin than that... black muscle flesh thing they got going.

Brandon Routh, who was probably the best part of Superman Returns (although Kevin Spacey's gonzo Gene Hackman impression was pretty fun), says he'd love to return to the role in the Nolan brothers' movie. He says he's aware of the groundswell of support for him on the internet, and now he wants to generate a "tsunami of support" for his return.
Let this happen.

D Mac 07-29-2010 01:07 AM

He was a good Superman IMO.

McLegend 07-29-2010 01:08 AM

I have done a 180 on this. I could do without Brandon Routh.

He actually wasn't good.

Lock Jaw 07-29-2010 02:46 AM

I could go either way (just like Brandon Routh).

Yeah he was. He reminded me of Christopher Reeve at certain points as Superman.

His Clark Kent tho needs to improve.

McLegend 07-29-2010 02:50 PM

Being a good Clark is paramount to being Superman, and his Clark not good. If he was good he could have possibly saved Superman Returns.

Also he's going to be almost 10 years older by the time this movie gets released or even made so that has to play factor.

Nowhere Man 07-29-2010 05:21 PM

I thought Routh did pretty well considering what he was given (i.e. just pretend to be Christopher Reeve for a couple of hours). I wouldn't mind him getting another crack at playing the Big Blue Boy Scout, but only if it matches what the Nolan crew has in mind for the script. Like, if he's supposed to be an experienced hero at this point, then yeah, it'd work. But if it's another origin story (which sounds like it's the case), then they should get a new guy, maybe throw Routh in for a cameo.

rated rjo 07-29-2010 05:52 PM

They need to just go balls to the wall and not worry about casting someone who looks like Christopher Reeve.
