I think a game is worth $1 per hour. So Horizon ill get when the price hits about $40 or so. Played it for about 2hrs. Good game, looking forward to it.

Sepholio 03-11-2017 01:58 PM

I got the 70usd digit deluxe of it. I can say with confidence that they earned my money as far as I'm concerned. This may be the best designed world for a sandbox game that I've ever seen. It's just so well built. This is one of the very few games ever that I can walk around aimlessly and be perfectly happy doing that. I honestly am nowhere in the story because I keep having those moments like "K going to this new city for the quest now OH LOOK A SQUIRREL!" 6 hours later I'll find myself at a random campground on the side of some mountain like how the hell did I get here.....it's great.

Sepholio 03-11-2017 02:00 PM

I chased rabbits and foxes and raccoons for like an hour earlier. Wanted to see how good I could get at popping them with arrows from long range.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-11-2017 03:31 PM

Yeah, want Horizon at some point as well as Neir, but I can't pull myself away from Zelda.

ClockShot 03-14-2017 05:30 PM

Finished Horizon: Zero Dawn. Hell of a game. The guys at Guerrilla got a new franchise on their hands.

Moving on to Ghost Recon: Wildlands for a few days. Then, space truckin' in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Sepholio 03-15-2017 04:10 AM

Yeah they should just drop Killzone. They have struck gold with Horizon.

ClockShot 03-15-2017 09:02 AM

Killzone was great. Their last entry Shadow Fall was lackluster.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-15-2017 09:05 AM

I always hated Killzone. It's why I wasn't expecting too much from Horizon.

Still not played it, but looking forward to it when I get the time.

DAMN iNATOR 03-17-2017 07:48 PM

Been digging into some Fallout 4 on PS4, and also that version of Grand Theft Auto V/Grand Theft Auto Online...first time online was last night, got to lv. 10 so far.

Oh, and have been getting help to get boosted to higher OP (Overpower) levels in Borderlands 2 and am up to OP7 out of 8.

whent he game dropped I was all about it. I was a huge rescource miner for my guild.

Ruien 04-04-2017 01:08 PM

Ff14 is amazing. Customer service is trash though. They claim my account was compromised because I didn't play for like 6 months. Went to reactivate the account BAM.

Blonde Moment 04-06-2017 10:25 AM

Doing the free trial right now until I get a deal on the game

Locke 04-06-2017 08:41 PM

Does 14 still have the insane time commitment required that 11 had

drave 04-06-2017 09:48 PM

It is a MMO that is sub based. Expect some degree of varied time sinks.

Ruien 04-15-2017 04:50 PM

PlAying The Bastion now. Amazing game so far.

When my fucking PS4's drive will actually read discs, in addition to Fallout 4 and GTA V, I've been playing through Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Assassin's Creed: Unity, as well as The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, which I've played through the first couple of episodes and am waiting on Ep. 4 to drop before playing Ep. 3, and I've gotten about as far as the heli scene where you choose lethal or non-lethal weapons in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided before the system pops up an error claiming the disc is dirty or damaged despite the fact I purchased a new copy.

Ultra Mantis 04-20-2017 08:29 AM

Finally got around to World of Final Fantasy, I'm actually enjoying it more than XV. The monster trainer system is also a lot better than it was in XIII-2.

Tama (aka Navi) is annoying as fuck at the start but once things pick up and she stops talking all the time, she's tolerable. That's my only complaint so far.

Yeah, I get that error on the Xbox One here and there, even when playing a downloaded game.

It's a really great game and I hope they make a sequel to it. Very underrated. More people should play it.

Wouldn't you know, the disc game my PS4 loves most is the unremarkable Assassin's Creed:Unity. Seriously. I don't think it's ever given that game the unrecognized disc error.

Surprised there's not even a thread for Horizon Zero Dawn, because it's fucking fantastic. Combat is so fun, and the world is incredibly detailed. Looks god damn amazing too. Riding a robot horse through a forest at night, with the moonlight coming through the trees. So good.

This might be my favorite single player game of this console generation thus far.

Witcher 3 for me

Fignuts 05-02-2017 08:33 PM

Witcher 3 is a close second for me. The story and characters are better in witcher 3, but the combat feels more versatile and stylish, in horizon. Feels a bit smoother too.

earlejones 05-04-2017 08:17 AM

Pokemon Red

Fignuts 05-06-2017 03:06 AM

Night in the woods

Was hesitant to buy another "interactive story" game after gone home left me feeling ripped off, but I'm glad I did because this has kept me thoroughly entertained. It's much longer with a lot more to do than gone home. Though I am exploring and talking to everyone each day.

I don't even know how to describe genre of the story. It's got a bit of everything. Comedy, drama, horror, mystery, existensialism. It gets real, it gets deep, and it gets dark, and its executed really well.

Your character is also kind of an asshole. Like not a full on dick, but a socially awkward person who can be selfish and inconsiderate. This makes dialogue options a lot more interesting. So many games these days have the whole "play the way you want" dialogue tree thing, but none of it feels like it means anything. But Night in the woods is like "OK so you don't get to be the white knight paragon in this game. Here's two options that are both awful/ignorant. Time to nut up and be a dick, kid."

And it's more effective than anything in other games with dialogue options. This game made me feel guilty over what I made my cartoon cat person say to her cartoon cat mom. You don't get that from mass effect folks.

So yeah. Great game so far. Hope the payoff is good. Whole bunch of intrigueing plotlines thus far.

Just Platinumed Fallout 4!

Now downloading The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Ep. 5, haven't played episode 4 yet...that was intentional so I could sort of marathon play the penultimate episode and the series finale as sort of a 2-part series finale in my own way of saying goodbye to this great series.

Disgaea 5 Complete on the Switch. Stupidly addicted to this game. I loved Final Fantasy Tactics. Disgaea is head and shoulders way better from a gameplay standpoint, though the story and characters are woefully lacking. But I'm totally okay with that, from everything I've read, the story is basically just the tutorial anyway.

DAMN iNATOR 05-31-2017 11:43 PM

Got through TWD: ANF, and to say I was surprised by a revelation at the tail end would be an understatement (see redacted print below).

It read "Clementine's story will continue." Season 4 anyone?

Disturbed316 06-02-2017 05:01 AM

I'm 'game rich' but 'time poor' at the moment, so nothing.

Still needing to complete:

- episode 4 & 5 of The Walking Dead season 3
- episodes 3,4,5,6 of Hitman
- grinding my way to 100% Lego City Undercover
- finish Gears 4 story
- WWE 2k17 career mode (takes too fucking long anyway)

Tempted to ditch the last three as I really want Injustice 2 (even though I suck at fighters) and want to get The Witcher 3 (although I know how big a time killer it is).

You actually don't have to install anything but playstation now, which I can't imagine even takes up a whole GB. No install for the games. You stream them, which is why mentioned having a good internet. I think PS Now actually runs a test to see if you're internet is fast enough.

I've played through 1-9. Destor is right. 5 is great. Job system is so fantastic. 5 is my favorite, as far as the gameplay is concerned, because every boss, and even a lot of enemies require strategy and management of different jobs, as they all have specific strengths and weaknesses. It was the last game in the series to offer that much dedication to the combat experience, as the series became more about narrative than challenging combat. 6 is actually considered kind of a dud in japan, because for people who played earlier entries, it was a total cakewalk.

road doggy dogg 06-13-2017 03:35 PM

5 is truly fantastic. I don't know about under-rated, maybe more just unknown; everyone I know who has played it rates it pretty highly. I still hold 6 above it, but I think 5 is definitely a top-3 FF game for me

Going to start Elite Dangerous next week while I'm on vacation.

Fignuts 06-29-2017 10:08 PM

Yeah, I played infinite warfare with the HWO, and got wrecked. Used to RKO everyone in modern warfare. I should give the remaster.

That shit can get intense on "Challenging" difficulty and/or Incursions. Fun as fuck though.

ClockShot 07-03-2017 10:29 AM

I think I might have to spring for a flight stick for Elite Dangerous for PS4. Or end up going the PC route.

Don't think the controller is going to do the job for a space sim such as this. Spent a lot of time in flight and combat training and I'm lousy at it. But when it comes to Ace Combat and No Man's Sky, no issues.

Any players here? Help a future commander out with some tips?

drave 07-03-2017 04:22 PM

LOTS of practice.

ClockShot 07-03-2017 05:03 PM

Gonna venture out into the big bad universe tomorrow and see how I fare.
