Much like it was the choice of those poor Mexicans to get used by you for cheap labor.

Yea its their choice, they gladly do that work. Its their only source of income and big companys that do pay minium wage wont hire them so thats what they settle for.

#1-norm-fan 10-12-2014 12:56 AM

What would you do to them if they asked for a small raise?

The thing is, work or no, its one of those consistency things. People get stripped of titles quite a bit because of the 30 day rule because of injury, but then Brock gets to "sit at home" for a few months as the champion with nothing wrong with him. Yes, Brock as a talent is a different beast in his current position of part time WWE/part time MMA competor (you mean "competitor", whatever...), but setting that aside, as it pertains to just a wrestling world standpoint, it's kinda dumb. It would make some sense if WWE actually made a storyline effort to point out such hypocracy, but the fact that there is no mention of it makes it just seem like lazy writing that they hoped nobody would notice.

It is akin to having Big Show win a match using his knockout punch, but then, in the very next match on the card, the ref actually DQs someone for closed fists. Even in the realm of suspended disbelief, that's just fucking stupid.

WWE: Roman Reigns’ Monday Night RAW Interview Has Vince McMahon Mad

Quote:

When Roman Reigns showed up for Monday Night RAW, it was based upon a taped interview that was said to be a satellite feed for the benefit of fans. When the WWE Universe reacted poorly to Reigns’ interview, Vince McMahon was claimed to be furious.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, one of the older WrestleMania 31 rumors claimed that The Rock would take on his cousin Roman Reigns, but now it’s being claimed that Dwayne Johnson’s old injuries may prevent him from wrestling anyone at all since Hollywood would not want his busy filming schedule to be interrupted if he re-injured himself.

When Roman Reigns spoke live to the WWE Universe in Brooklyn, he seemed to indicate that he would prefer to fly back onto the ring sooner rather than later, although recovery time for hernia surgery can often be between three to six month. Regardless, Reigns is already counting down the days until he can wrestle again, and it’s claimed the doctors are happy with the progress Reigns is making in his recovery. In addition to the segment on his health update, Reigns also discussed what he felt during his initial debut with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

While all of that is all well and good, it’s not what he said but how he said it that has Vince McMahon mad. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, like practically everything in the WWE these days, the interview was written and scripted by WWE creative. But Triple H is claimed to have wanted Reigns to come off as a “bad*ss babyface that didn’t have a care in the world” during the interview. Instead, Reigns seemed uncomfortable, which is either due to his healing injuries or because he could not play that kind of character, which does not bode well for his career.

Interestingly enough, Vince McMahon is claimed to not have watched the prerecorded Roman Reigns segment before it aired on Monday Night RAW, but once he saw it he was reportedly fuming. This reaction was only made worse when the online fans reacted badly to Reigns’ performance, and even others in the company were not happy with the result.

Rammsteinmad 10-12-2014 10:29 AM

When is Vince not fuming mad these days?

Fignuts 10-12-2014 10:36 AM

Told you Reigns sucks.

XL 10-12-2014 11:02 AM

Not quite sure what they were expecting with Reigns. He has a look and is passable in the ring. If they expected charisma and mic skills, they clearly weren't paying attention for the last 2 years.

Bad News Gertner 10-12-2014 11:25 AM

They clearly werent paying attention to #BNG the past two years.

Innovator 10-12-2014 01:14 PM

Reigns speaks a lot better candidly like in the Shield doc than being this stoic badass

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2014 01:36 PM

It was too short.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2014 01:37 PM

It was pre-taped? But Cole talked to him. Somebody should be fired.

Droford 10-12-2014 01:41 PM

they're stupid if they pretaped it, didnt watch it ahead of time and are angry with his interview.

you'd assume that they pretaped it to give them the option of redoing it..

Damian Rey 10-12-2014 04:00 PM

He just doesn't have charisma on the mic. When he's candid he's fine, but hearing him cut a promo is like watching paint dry. It's a big reason why i cannot comprehend what it is beyond his look that they see in him to think he's a star in waiting.

Cowboy Bob Kelly was a true legend in the old Gulf Coast territory.

He and Paul Bearer were such good friends.

Gulf Coast legend Cowboy Bob Kelly passes away

Cowboy Bob Kelly, who many would say was the most popular wrestler in the history of the Gulf Coast, passed away earlier today at the age of 78.

He had been in declining health in recent months due to lung cancer and other ailments.

A legitimate cowboy, Kelly competed as a wrestler in high school and the military, rodeo and stock car racing before becoming the top babyface star for Gulf Coast Wrestling from 1967 to 1976.

He and wife Chris were successful in real estate after leaving pro wrestling. Chris Kelly, who had an orphanage in Africa named after her, wife, passed away last October after 55 years of marriage and five children. They were regulars not only at the Cauliflower Alley banquets, where Kelly served on its board, but was president of the annual Gulf Coast wrestling reunions, which were instrumental in keeping the wrestlers from that territory in contact with each other long after the territory ended.

He was very close with Bill Moody (Percy Pringle/Paul Bearer) and in 2013 accepted Moody's Cauliflower Alley award.

A number of wrestlers, including Moody, Michael Hayes of The Freebirds and Robert Gibson of The Rock & Roll Express, would have grown up with Kelly as the biggest wrestling star they saw.

TNA's Bound for Glory ppv was earlier in the morning. They went back to using a 4-sided ring for the event instead of the 6-sided one.

When I thought of this being held in Japan I was picturing a lot bigger arena filled with thousands of people :'(

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2014 06:17 PM

Yeah I was thinking Tokyo Dome. Not Tokyo Little Theater.

Seth82 10-12-2014 06:32 PM

that's the famous Korakuen Hall.

it's not exactly wrestling in some local playhouse/theatre.

Those only get used for the really big events and even then its a big risk to run shows there. TNA is lucky Muta was able to get a good location and crowd since they barely did any real investing for the ppv.

Only because it's in Japan. If they held the same show with the same venue capacity it would be shown as a joke.

You should stop using the term "a joke". I don't think you understand its meaning.

Bad News Gertner 10-12-2014 09:20 PM

It's a pretty famous arena in Japan. I hate Jap wrestling and I know what it is.

Rammsteinmad 10-12-2014 09:51 PM

Considering that Bound For Glory is TNA's "Wrestlemania", it still looks like any other indy promotion.

Saying any show of TNA is their WrestleMania is an insult to WrestleMania. They haven't earned the right to call any of their shows a grand daddy of them all.

Continuing on with my Nitro watchthrough on WWE Network. Mongo is a terrible announcer but he's still way better than Rob Bartlett was on the early days of Raw. Mongo at least sounds genuinely happy to be there and excited for that night's main event whereas Bartlett just sounded like he was there for a paycheck.

It should be, seeing as the name fits and all, but sadly Bound For Glory is their "big one".
