He probably doesn’t want focus himself, but you’ve got to step in as booker then. A disappointing Bryan is more damaging than helpful. It’s been a great example of how AEW can take someone you care about and make them irrelevant really fast.

With Danielson likely calling out, I am really at a loss for what could be added to this show of interest.

I’ll predict that Luchasaurus will likely turn too in a few weeks time or maybe at the next PPV and stick around as Christian’s muscle. Seems to be the natural progression of the story, but not necessarily a good outcome for Luchasaurus since I don’t know how much he offers when away from (insert Jack’s handle here). I really like him as the face who comes in on the hot tag to clean house. That’s a good spot for him, and he’s come on leaps and bounds since Lucha Underground.

I think he turns, loses the mask and gets a name change as Christian’s muscle. Adds an extra obstacle for Jungle Boy to overcome in the feud and helps extend it, then probably just ends up on Dark.

Howabout…he ditches the mask becoming Judas Devlin again (which works well with stabbing (insert Jack’s handle here) in the back. He can wear leather and lots of chains. Eventually you have him sort of play up a split personality thing where you’re never sure if you’re going to get his “Judas” side or how Devlin/Devil side. This leads to a group forming with Christian at the helm, Judas as his large ally, then add a sort of gothy type female to the group, maybe Toni Storm or sign Paige. Name them “Payback” or “<s>WrestleMania</s> Backlash”. Then try to add “spooky bollocks” to the gimmick that Christian (rightly) isn’t down for and have disposed by a dude he pinned on PPV the night before.

Great use of multiple talents and better yet original.

Luchasaurus losing his man and gimmick seems like a death wish for him, tbh.

Luchasaurus doesn’t inspire me either way. He’s just not very good. Him being with Christian is going to drawn subconscious comparisons to Tomko, and I don’t think Luchasaurus can even live up to that.

Mask or not hes still sloppy as fuck. If he stopped trying to wrestle like a cruiserweight so much maybe he'd be better.

That could change my perception of him. But it’s be so jarring. They’ve kind of booked themselves into a corner with him. I think the best thing with him in AEW would be to stick him with a more experienced guy in a team to incubate him for a while. Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, that sort of thing.

ROH isn’t a thing, but you could send him there and hope for the best.

There’s a very low ceiling on the gimmick as is. AEW have got a million singles championships and I can’t imagine him carrying any of them.

That said, it’s not exactly holding him back from a main event run.

Being an updated Tomko is probably about right.

The more I think about it, the more I can see them doing a completely new thing with him. A total repackaging that we are just supposed to “get.” Maybe leading The Butcher & The Blade or something like that? Dr. Lou Chasorous or something.

I could see him having a throwaway transitional run with one of the secondary titles. But if they really wanna see how he does in singles at the higher end of a card I think they should toss him over to the ROH reboot and give him a makeover and a push there and see how it goes.

They’ve got a ton of guys they could move to ROH full time whenever they get that off the ground.

I still think they should use it as a minor league feeder for themselves.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’ Reilly are both out with injuries. Fish’s is an ankle and he shouldn’t be out long. O’Reilly’s is said to be worse, but the degree to which is undetermined.
