I would watch that specific segment and may enjoy that specific moment.

LOL Special Guest Ref is J E Double F J A Double R E Double T!

Mr. Nerfect 07-15-2022 10:19 PM

Glad they announced it, otherwise it would be a huge letdown. Is Jarrett going to do right by Mr. Bianca Belair in Nashville, or is he going to try and smooch up to the most powerful family in wrestling?

XL 07-16-2022 01:04 PM

Oh it’s in Nashville. Had absolutely no idea why Jarrett was involved. Makes sense now.

Mr. Nerfect 07-16-2022 11:15 PM

I’ve got a feeling Jarrett is going to play an ongoing role on WWE television. I don’t think he’s a big enough deal in Nashville to really count unless something is happening. I can see him screwing the Profits and making a heel on Raw or spinning off into something with Sami Zayn or Junior Uno who debuts.

Crippla 07-17-2022 11:56 AM

I would tune in to see Double J involved in on screen angles but Nashville is close enough to his hometown so I do think he is a pretty big deal there tbh

Mr. Nerfect 07-17-2022 01:13 PM

The world has loosened up on Double J, but it’s still Jeff Jarrett. I don’t think he’s adding subscribers or moving tickets in a way that the rest of the product hasn’t already. I just can’t see it (in fact I’ve seen some local people voicing disappointment at it being only Jarrett). That’s why I think there is more to this, because he is a good performer and I’d like to see a story evolve from it.

It’s not exactly Jesse Ventura at SummerSlam ‘99.

Is that’s Evil Uno’s son?

I meant to type “Junior Uso.” Evil Uno cannot procreate.

erickman 07-22-2022 08:00 PM

here we go

xrodmuc316 07-22-2022 08:03 PM

Now Steph is out there talking about Vince?

Mr. Nerfect 07-22-2022 08:12 PM

If Brock is really out, you could do a giant tag at SummerSlam. Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn & Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, The Street Profits, Riddle & AJ Styles. Or something like that.

Throw Sheamus vs. Gunther on the card in an IC Title match and point out that Sheamus lives in Nashville.

Bad News Gertner 07-22-2022 08:18 PM

Has Kevin Dunn shown a "Lonely Road of Faith" video for Vince yet

Mr. Nerfect 07-22-2022 08:23 PM

Has he stopped shaking the camera so no one notices he’s still there?

slik 07-22-2022 08:38 PM

I just turned it on and had to stop...camera shaking making me nauseous

So fucking annoying. Why do they think that is a good idea?

Supreme Olajuwon 07-22-2022 09:29 PM

Lacey cut a good heel promo!

xrodmuc316 07-22-2022 10:11 PM

Brock walked out on Smackdown....to a HUGE POP!

Mr. Nerfect 07-22-2022 10:30 PM

The Last Man Standing Match is probably going to be pretty fucking good. I wonder if it will mark a paradigm shift within the company? Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s “before Brock/Roman; after Brock/Roman.”

XL 07-23-2022 03:30 AM

I’m wondering if they’ve had to placate him with a win at SummerSlam.

Sepholio 07-23-2022 04:09 AM

They released an action figure of Brock a couple days ago that has him with both belts. So him winning may have already been in the cards. Guess we will see next week.

Kinda funny he supposedly was going to leave over Vince but then comes back to discombobulate Vinces golden boy Theory on the same day.

Mr. Nerfect 07-23-2022 05:25 AM

I don’t think Brock is a mark. And Theory is everyone’s guy. Wrestling is a work.

XL 07-23-2022 05:46 AM

Brock is a mark for money, so more likely he’s held them up for a bonus, or he’s just over reacted to Vince going. I find it odd that he’s attached to the man rather than the company but Vince does get that loyalty from his top guys. Or, it was a noting story.

Could see it being the setup for a mid-match cash in on Brock to get the belts off Roman without him taking the fall and neither guy having to lay down for the 10 count but it feels a bit rushed. And McIntyre/Theory doesn’t really setup the UK show that well. Although I could see neither Roman or Brock wanting to make the trip.

Or you just have Theory take Brock out for the finish and keep the belts on Roman.

At least there’s a few options to play with.

Sepholio 07-23-2022 06:23 AM

LOL there is no way in hell that Brock held them up for a bonus. lmfao, if he walked out he would have been in breach of contract. Period. If they gave him more money for breaching his deal then literally everyone in the company would walk out every other day to get a slice of that action. Come on.

Sepholio 07-23-2022 06:23 AM

You guys seem to think contracts are meaningless. It's cute.

XL 07-23-2022 11:35 AM

Didn’t Brock leave the first time while under contract? Isn’t that why he couldn’t wrestle in the states?

Yeah. He signed a 7 yr no compete and then realized that was stupid and a court threw it out.

XL 07-23-2022 01:56 PM

Seems like contracts are sometimes meaningless.

XL 07-23-2022 01:59 PM

And it’s not like we haven’t just had an instance of contracted performers walking out and seemingly not returning to the company.

Mr. Nerfect 07-23-2022 02:06 PM

There aren’t too many jobs in this world that you can’t quit. The WWE can’t really force Brock Lesnar to go out there and risk permanent physical injury to himself if he doesn’t want to. They wouldn’t have to pay him if he didn’t want to do it anymore, but Brock could absolutely walk out if he wanted to.

Would they let him go elsewhere? A reasonable no compete would probably be for the remaining dates on his WWE deal plus a little extra. There would be licensing things that would suggest he is under contract for a while. I doubt he could go to AEW or even a place like New Japan this time. Although WWE might prefer he go somewhere over another place as a strategy. It’s more likely he just has another book done or makes appearances in the crowd every now and then for the UFC.

XL 07-23-2022 03:07 PM

Yeah I doubt he’s any interest in going anywhere else at this point so him being in breach of his contract means very little.

Mr. Nerfect 07-23-2022 03:29 PM

Oh yeah, I don’t think it’s realistic he goes anywhere else. Unless he gets totally sideways over them and wants revenge. Think that most likely comes from a fresh millionaire/billionaire running vanity shows.

xrodmuc316 07-29-2022 08:25 PM

Sheamus and Drew having another ass kicking match, beating the absolute hell out of each other.

Sepholio 07-29-2022 08:27 PM

They really do have great chemistry in the ring.

Also I <3 guys beating each other with shillelagh's.

Sepholio 07-29-2022 08:28 PM

Shillelaghs are definitely top tier blunt weapons. Seriously. Ass-whoopins don't get classier than that.
