I did always find the idea of home court advantage (and home ice in hockey) to be a bit overrated, actually. Yeah you may need to deal with loud, hostile fans but most pros can tune it out and beyond that the game is the same. It's not like football where you might be out in the elements or baseball where parks dimensions are all different/potentially catered to the home team.

Krimzon7 06-10-2015 09:45 PM

In basketball, it seems that the advantage lies in the comfort of the role players. Role players seem to play better at home than on the road. Call it familiarity with the rims, depth perception of the home court, etc... these appear to be what help swing the series via home court advantage.

McLegend 06-11-2015 09:12 PM

I don't know about this line up change by Golden State.

If anything I think David Lee should should start at center.

McLegend 06-11-2015 09:16 PM

That was a great pass by Lebron. Kind of a holy shit moment.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-11-2015 09:17 PM

Finally Krimzon is here. Clerk being on LeBron's nuts is way more annoying.

McLegend 06-11-2015 10:26 PM

Cavs need a miracle.

Shouldn't Flair at least have a black armband on or something?

McLegend 06-11-2015 10:58 PM

Polka dotted armband at least

Cleavland looked tired tonight. First 3 games took a lot out of Lebron, and to think someone said he wasn't trying. After the headshot to the camera didn't seem to be as aggressive.

Ruien 06-12-2015 07:46 AM

They get a extra day off this time so that will help. But the Warriors are way better than the way they played the first 3 games of the series.

McLegend 06-14-2015 11:30 AM

Embiid is hurt again. That's great news.

My favorite basketball team will never be good.

McLegend 06-14-2015 10:04 PM

The officiating has been equally horrible for both teams.

McLegend 06-14-2015 10:10 PM

Lebron needs to get hot in the 4th.

McLegend 06-14-2015 10:11 PM

What do you think, Ferret?

Ruien 06-14-2015 10:12 PM

Its amazing what LeBron is able to do. How many more years does he have THIS in him? Past 3 years he has basically carried his team in the playoffs (Minus Bosh who played D and O equally well).

Ruien 06-14-2015 11:23 PM

So happy I opted to watch this game rather than Money in the Bank. Was an amazing game. LeBron is amazing, JR started off super hot, but in the end Golden State has to much fire power for the Cavs in the 4th quart again.

Droford 06-14-2015 11:36 PM

If I lived in Cleveland I'd probably just give up on sports

Yeah these Finals (from the bits I've seen) seem like last year: Lebron vs the other team. It's pretty ridiculous how he's been able to keep his team(s) in these games.

Emperor Smeat 06-16-2015 08:36 PM

Grantland has a really good article about the Cavs and how Lebron is both their best and worst thing about the team. Best because of him being a really great star but worst that everything is danergously too dependent on him (just like almost every other season). A big flaw in Lebron handpicking the roster to fit his style meant they can't adjust well to whenever a West team changes its play style (ex. Warriors suddenly going all small ball).

Also the possibility that this might be the best chance for the Cavs to win the title since cap issues are going to be a big problem unless they want to break the luxury tax record for next season.

Quote:

But LeBron is an anomaly, and in a salary-capped league, the Cavs have to look hard at how he’s carried them. If they max out Love, retain Thompson at something close to the max, use Brendan Haywood’s nonguaranteed deal to land a key piece, and re-sign Shumpert and Dellavedova at reasonable numbers, they could set an all-time record for salary and tax payments next season with a bill north of $200 million. Blowing past the tax carries roster-building restrictions that make it harder to find supplementary players.

McLegend 06-16-2015 09:25 PM

If I was the Cavs I wouldn't mind if Love opted out. I think they need another perimeter player...

Andrew Wiggins trade was a bad move for them.

McLegend 06-16-2015 09:25 PM

The Cavs are done

McLegend 06-16-2015 10:53 PM

Andre Iguodala should be the MVP

Ruien 06-16-2015 10:56 PM

Doubt Love will opt out because he knows this will be his best bet to get a title. Then will go to a new team (Since Cavs won'tpay him big bucks) to make his money.

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:19 PM

Warriors looking to blow this.

Droford 06-16-2015 11:23 PM

Nah, nba wanted to make sure everyone didn't tune out when it was obvious LeBron was losing

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:29 PM

Why did the Cavs take the big white dude out? He is their offense right now.

Droford 06-16-2015 11:36 PM

Lol at Cleveland playing Nana Nana hey hey hey good bye

Irony

Yeup either him or Curry.

Whole series turned around once Iggy became a starter for the Warriors while Curry has been playing a lot better the past few games. Cavs being really stubborn with the short bench also has hurt them.

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:48 PM

Hope Iggy gets the MVP but its hard to not pick Curry. He is the superstar and the person who will be marketed on television.

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:50 PM

JR Smith getting hot!

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:51 PM

Looks like Golden State knew what they were doing when they fired their coach and got Steve Kerr. Just think, Kerr almost went to the Knicks too.

OssMan 06-16-2015 11:54 PM

jesus.......

Ruien 06-16-2015 11:56 PM

Oh my. Melt down inc. Need to double JR Smith bad. When he gets hot he gets stupid hot.

Droford 06-16-2015 11:56 PM

Made it just interesting enough

Droford 06-16-2015 11:59 PM

Only cleveland would want their player to be MVP when they lose

owenbrown 06-17-2015 12:00 AM

SUCK LEBRON JAMES' DICK, CLERK! HE LOST! CONGRATS GOLDEN STATE!!!

Triple A 06-17-2015 12:03 AM
