You should. I dont think Trent Green will throw one pass and if he does, Herm Edwards should probably be fired.

Loose Cannon 01-01-2007 10:25 AM

Playoff Bound baby. Bring on the Boston Boys.

More news. Jim Mora Jr. is out at Atlanta.

Crippla 01-01-2007 01:55 PM

That one kind of surprises me, I thought they'd at least give him another year.

Daunte Culpepper sure "wanted it" against the Panthers last year when he was held up by Minter and had Gamble dive into his knee, possibly ending his career.

So yeah, Manning "wants it" all right. The question is, what is it he wants?

Oh, and news out of Denver, the two main suspects so far have been named as Reggie Wayne and Michael Stima. With two completely opposite motives.

Too soon?

You haven't been reading the news, then, like Mora saying he'd quit coaching the Falcons in an instant to return to his alma mater?

Sure it was overblown, but you just can't joke about something like that when your team needs to know you're behind them 100%.

They don't have a good enough running game to beat the Colts.

Wait...who am I kidding?

Ron Dayne beat the Colts, I'm sure Kevan Barlow and whoever else they've got could beat them too.

The Broncos didn't deserve to make the playoffs. Not when you can't beat SF at home. But after Darrent's death, I could care less.

Oversensitive? No i'm serious. You arent funny. You try to make funny, but it just doesnt work. You arent funny. You call me a crybaby and jealous, because thats all you can do. Because you know i'm right. You just arent funny. Stop trying so hard. You think you're some comedian, but you just arent. I'm sorry i have to be the one to break this to you, but when people laugh at you, its not because you're funny. Dennis Green got fired today, good. Maybe they actaully get some new blood in Arizona instead of using the same old recycled coaches. I don't understand that, Green got fired in Minnesota right? Then a year or so goes by, he goes up in the booth then now he is good all of a sudden? I dunno

Long drives while smoking the stickiest of the icky made me happy all the time. Now i just want to stay home and sit on my couch.

Jerking off has become more like a job then it has a pleasurable experience. Before i talk myself into spanking it, I usually talk myself out of it by thinking about all the work i do for a split second of happiness.

I've thought about getting a dog, but i dont wanna have to walk it all the time . I also dont want to clean up poop. Smelling dog poop sends me into a Hulk like rage. Its weird. I hate dog poop. Probably ate some when i was a kid or something.

I dont want to spend time with my family on the holidays. I feel as if my time could be better spent and by better spent i mean, sitting on the couch and being high.

I dont want a girlfriend. 2 years ago when i thought about having a girlfriend, I had a very optimistic approach. I was pretty excited about the thought and really enjoyed the dating aspect. Now, I dont want anything to do with a girlfriend. I honestly, at this moment, couldnt talk myself into wanting to have sex. I have no sex drive and even if a fairly decent girl is wanting to reverse cowgirl my cock , i'd probably find a reason to talk myself out of it.

This place used to make me happy. Actually still does, but its also made me pretty self absorbed. I dont really care about other topics on the board. I dont read 70% of the topics here and honestly, when i see people talking about " That thread " or " That person said this ". I could care less. Unless anything has anything to do with my posting personality on this board, i dont pay attention. The only thing thats made me happy here, is by verbally assaulting anyone i can. I used to do this to make people laugh and be accepted by the popular folk, but now i just do it cause i dont really want to be friends with anyone here. I do it for that 10% chance that i might actually laugh my ass off to myself. I could care less what anyone thinks about me. Or if i hurt someones feelings. I'm trying to make me happy. And lately the only way i've been able to do that, is by coming here and calling people names and coming up with a zinger or two. I probably could have been friends with alot of you and do the whole " talk on MSN and AIM about really cools stuff pertaining to TPWW and calling those people by there real names like Michael Stima " thing, but thats so boring. That doesnt make me happy. These internet forums are set up to be a friends area where everyone chats and discusses opinions, but i think thats bull shit. I can do that in real life with no problem. Thats the stuff i dont want to do. I used to enjoy myself alot more when i could come on here and insult someone and not face any repercussions. Now i think about that and look back on some of my past posts. I'm proud of nothing. Not that i should be, but i dont even laugh at some of the insane shit i've said. Some things i've said have been soley to get attention. Cause i cant tolerate getting attention the right way ( being friends and junk ). That is slow and irratating. I suck basically.

I have a shitty job i dont like, 2 addictions, a dream and no major responsibility. All of this works together to totally fuck my life every year. I dont have enough balls to quit my shitty job because my dream is a financial risk. Even if i did pull the trigger on the dream, i have 2 addictions that will basically do me in. I sleep all week long sometimes. Literally waking up for 4-5 hours and going back to sleep for 9-12 hours over and over again. I have no motivation. Even when i dont want to sleep, I still go to sleep.

I'm about to be 25 years old and i've accomplished nothing. I dont even have anything to fall back on or strive towards. And if i did, in the mood i've been in for the past 2 years, I'd find away to fuck that up big time.

I've lost the game of life so far and it sucks really bad, by i have no motivation to change things right now.

Keep on trying, type as many words as you can to try to "verbally assault" me. But honestly, you have no right. Not after that. Oh no, not after that. I won't give you that "happiness inside," of feeling like you've "gotten to me," Rectal Pertruder. :wavesad:

AlphaBean 01-02-2007 01:59 AM

What the fuck is that? Now you have to wonder if it's a crazed sports fan who did it. Like, I was just joking about the Stima thing, but someone who was mad at them for losing, or just someone who hates the Broncos, can that really be ruled out?

Not trying to stir the pot or anything like that, just trying to think why you'd do that shit? Were any of them mixed up in gang activity?

Maurice Clarett is in prison so it wasn't him...

posted this in the other thread, but the first thing i thought of was gambling. I hope none of those players were involved with bad people and assuring certain peoples that the Broncos would win.

AlphaBean 01-02-2007 04:58 AM

To go with my Clarett comment, I can't rule out Boosters anymore. After what they did to Clarett, seriously. Though the three who were apparently in the car seemed to be doing well for themselves.

Another bit of "evidence:" DJ Williams, the third dude in the car... went to the U of Miami. And the U produces thugs and murderers constantly, it could have been a revenge situation for something DJ had done before.

Two thoughts:

A: Pretty fucked up that so many players are coming out talking about how well they knew him. It's like high school. You played on his team in college, and you're gonna cry and get air time?

B: Keep reading the headline that Williams died in Javon Walkers' lap. That's brutal. The death of Korey Stringer destroyed the Vikings... how will the Broncos hold up from this? On one hand, Stringer collapsed as players do, and died a day later in the hospital while Williams was shot in front of his teammates, which is super fucked up, but on the other hand it was right before the season, and nobody had time to really grieve or seek counselling... hopefully the Broncos players will be able to get over it during the offseason.

ANOTHER "CLARIFICATION" ON WILLIAMS SHOOTING
A reader has reminded us that our "clarification" that Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall wasn't in the limo when cornerback Darrent Williams was shot really wasn't a "clarification" but a "correction."

Here's another "clarification." A league source tells us that linebacker D.J. Williams also wasn't in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Meanwhile, police are searching for a white Suburban or Tahoe with tinted windows in connection with the shooting. Though the police say they have no motive, word is that there was some type of squabble that preceded the incident.

AlphaBean 01-02-2007 11:27 AM

Williams died in Walker's lap?

And it happened in Denver?

Might seem unlikely since they were in a limo and unless the person (or people) who was apart of this knew who was in there, that would be a far fetched idea.

Is it the homer in me that is a bit suprised Joseph Addai got not one single vote for rookie of the year? He shared carries with Rhodes. He got 1000 yards and 300 recieving, 8tds and he averaged 4.8 a carry. He was also filling some huge shoes.

I agree with Vince Young as ROTY. He's a beast and really played amazing to get the Titans where they were. I guess its hard to get one vote in such a loaded draft. Bush, Colston and Drew got votes. All deserved. I guess i was just a bit suprised Addai didnt even get one vote. Anyone else?

OssMan 01-03-2007 03:41 PM

im surprised mathias kiwanuka didnt get any votes, dont think he should have won it but i think he was a better candidate than jonathan joseph who had...45 tackles, 0 sack, 0 int. kiwanuka had like 4 sacks and 2 INTs.

Mr. Monday Morning 01-03-2007 03:47 PM

If you're gonna give Addai some votes you have to give some to Maroney too.

Kiwanuka probably got hurt somewhat by that non-sack of Vince Young.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-03-2007 05:37 PM

Jonathan Joseph had a great rookie season. You can't judge a cornerback solely on stats. And even if you could he had 20 passes defensed which was 6th in the league.

OssMan 01-03-2007 05:44 PM

right i know you cant judge a cornerback on stats but i guess the guy who voted for him was a Bengals fan or something, the only way to vote for a guy whose stats dont stand out at all would be to watch him in every game.

Lets face it, the Titans weren't expected to do anything at the beginning of the season and Vince Young nearly single handedly turned that around. Nobody was really expecting the Saints to turn out the way they did but they did anyway. Even though Colston was a part of that he didn't have as integral a role as Young.

Anyways, this whole Giants playoff thing is bittersweet. I obviously would like to seem them win (although I just don't see it happening) but if they do I doubt many changes are made in the front office after the season. I think that even if we don't get a new head coach that we need to get new offensive and defensive coordinators, or else we are doomed for another season of mediocrity.

Yeah, ditto. I'm in agreeance with Young as ROTY, but Addai pretty much got crapped on, IMO. I thought he was a pretty good candidate for it, considering the lost the Colts suffered from Edgerrin James. :-\

UmbrellaCorporation 01-03-2007 09:12 PM

As it stands now, I'm calling the playoffs this way kinda.

AFC (in my opinion) will be either Colts/Ravens or Ravens/Chargers or Ravens/Colts. I honestly can't decide. Rather see Ravens/Colts than anything though. I like LT just fine, but I'm sick of hearing about him, even if he IS a damn good player. It may be the Seattle fan in me, but I'd rather have Alexander any day. What reason? None really, but I just like Alexander better.

NFC (opinion again) will be Bears/Saints or Giants/Saints. Again, no real reason, but I wouldn't mind seeing Tiki go out on top with a SB ring. But if we're talking potential, I'm REALLY rooting for Saints/Giants with NO winning it.

So I'm calling the SB right now to be Ravens/Saints or Colts/Saints. That'd make me a very happy fan, personally.

I agree with you on that. As I was listening to the news about it. He was supposed to meet with Mr. Blockbuster before or at 10 a.m. to make his decision and have a meeting with the team. Instead, he blows off Huizenga(sp?), and gathers all his coordinators and coaches in one room and breaks the news to them by speakerphone.

Kind of a low class way to go out.:nono:

Maroneys stats dont even compair to Addai's . He's got 745 yards. 100 recieving and 7 total td's. I understand he was injured, but that really doesnt matter.

From what I saw of the Bengals this year, especially in the latter parts of the season, Jonathon Joseph made some key coverage plays in vital situations. He was one of the more impressive rookies this year in my opinion.

DrA 01-04-2007 06:43 AM

Also, I would just like to point out again that Houston not getting Vince Young or Reggie Bush with the first pick is a general managing fuck up so bad that Matt Millen wouldn't have even done it.

Corey Dillon couldnt run 50 yards without stopping for oxygen. You're crazy. I mean he's better then Rhodes, but still

And Addai didnt return kicks, so theirs not much to compare there. 30 yards is nice, but not ROTY material.

Nah it really wasnt. I think Charlie Casserly picked him and he was due to be fired reguardless. They kept him to make the pick. It was the owners call basically. And i'm pretty sure they didnt want to pay Reggie Bush alot of money and thats why they didnt take him. I'm not sure how the numbers broke down, but it was presumed that he'd be asking for a truck load.

DrA 01-04-2007 05:38 PM

That doesn't matter, that franchise needed a franchise player for them to make money, and Reggie Bush/Vince Young would have done that. Having a defensive end, not to mention an underachieving defensive end, will not help that team at all. I've even known a stockbroker who was going to invest in the team change his mind after they made that pick.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-04-2007 06:34 PM

Did they really think they where going to have to pay Reggie Bush that much more then they paid Williams though? I dunno, even if this guy became a pass rushing monster is that really worthy of a first round pick? In some cases, its good to pick a player who needs time to develop (See Ty Warren) but the Texans really aren't in that situation.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-04-2007 06:35 PM

Oh yeah, I bet the Lions draft Calvin Johnson out of Georgia Tech

Team Sheep 01-04-2007 07:51 PM

I'm making a bold prediction right now and saying the Philadelphia Eagles win the Superbowl.

I'm not saying i agree with the pick. I dont. And the reason they gave ( To stop Peyton Manning ) is laughable. But i really dont know what other reason they would have for passing over Bush or Vince Young, both seemed like a no brainer pick. The only think i can think of is that it was a money issue. The dude they got, Mario Williams ( that his last name? ) came out of no where. I hadnt heard of him. And apparently he was very streaky in college. I guess he had some games where he slumped. Which is even more absurd, cause 5 sacks in one game still equals 1 game , win or loss. Disapearing for a number of games and then having a monster game, just doesnt cut it. Like i said, i dont know what the reason was for sure, but i know it was BS. Dominick Davis is an average running back, of the caliber of a Chester Taylor or Willis McGahee ( Yah thats right ). He's nothing special.

Vince Young seemed even more like a no brainer. He's from Texas. He's automatically a popular pick and you knew he would be amazing.

You're making an ass of yourself. Thats what you're making.

Nervous Ferret 01-04-2007 10:00 PM

Worried about Maroney. I think he could be torture for the Jets.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-04-2007 11:52 PM

Well, they probably didn't want to draft Young since they just locked up David Carr and their coach is "fan of his"

I really don't get why they didn't draft Bush, I mean, even before Davis got hurt it still would have worked. It would have worked perfectly probably, since Bush will probably never carry the ball 30 times a game consistantly - if ever.

AlphaBean 01-05-2007 12:15 AM

lol Kubiak loves a challenge. He should pick up Harrington in the offseason, or give Ryan Leaf a call.

And if you dont draft Bush or Young there... Why not just make the safe pick and pick D'Brick? Mario Williams really didnt prove nothing accept that he looks like a beast.

Dunno they've been awesome lately. And with everyone saying how terrible the NFC has been this year, I fancy an NFC team to come out and steal it.

Of course, I would hate for this to happen.

GO JETS!! Patriots gunna get fucked.

RP 01-06-2007 04:57 AM

Crippla 01-06-2007 05:00 AM

Nervous Ferret 01-06-2007 04:13 PM

Just watching NBC pregame, Bob Costas says the Jets are $30 million under the cap with one starter to resign going into next season.

Kris P, is Duce a free agent this year?

KingofOldSchool 01-06-2007 04:35 PM

Bye bye Colts, I hope your playoff run has been as memorable as it has been in seasons' past.

Man, at least Jim Harbaugh was one play away from taking the Colts to the Superbowl.
