I like Denard, I'm glad he found a way to be useful in the NFL since there was no way he was going to make it as a QB

Ermaximus 12-20-2014 11:45 AM

Denard is great. I'm glad he found a place.

Glad he didn't go the Kordell "Slash" Stewart route.

Guys, I'm not excited for this Thursday Night Football: Saturday Edition.

It could be bad.

Ruien 12-20-2014 06:09 PM

Why is there a game on right now? So confused.

McLegend 12-20-2014 06:31 PM

There is a game on the NFL Network between The Eagles of Philadephia and The Washington Redskins.

Crippla 12-20-2014 07:22 PM

I have Mark Sanchez going as my fantasy QB this week since Cutler was benched ugh. It was either Sanchez or Claussen.

If the Eagles are dumb enough to put Bradley Fletcher on Odell Beckham at all next week, Dallas may not even need to win another game to take the division.

Philly needs Packers, Seahawks, or Cowboys to lose tomorrow just to have a chance next week. If all three win, NFC playoffs are set (besides some seedings).

I think Dallas is the only team that matters for Philly's playoff chances now. They can't win a wild card spot so the other teams results don't matter.

Yeup. Raiders pulled off something similar a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the Raiders one either. I dunno, just seems like 90 yard run plays just shouldn't happen against a professional defense.

They played like shit.

Good news is theyre in as a wild card with a win vs the browns no matter what happens next week... as long as the Bengals lose tomorrow night. Bengals win and the Ravens would only get in if the Chargers lose in KC.

#1-norm-fan 12-21-2014 04:49 PM

The Bills are the only real competition for the wild card, right? So they'll be fine.

Helmsphere 12-21-2014 05:25 PM

Yeah, Miami is technically eliminated, which makes me sad. I will still be happy with a 9-7 Season. Was amazing how we won that game today with a Blocked Punt for a Safety with 45 seconds left.

Droford 12-21-2014 05:27 PM

Id totally be for the Ravens playing the colts again the way theyre playing. Pretty sure they cant mail it i for 2 weeks (if they decided not to show up vs cowboys, no way they bother vs the titans with nothing to play for) and then flip it on because its the playoffs

Are you as sure about that as you were that Baltimore would go 12-4 and run away with the division? Or that they were a lock to beat Cincy without AJ Green? Or that they would sweep their last two games?

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-21-2014 08:13 PM

Just wishful thinking. Ravens will be lucky to even make the playoffs at this point.

Crimson 12-21-2014 08:43 PM

Pulling for Seattle to win the west ,gives Dallas a better chance for a bye week.

#1-norm-fan 12-21-2014 08:57 PM

On top of Dallas winning next week, I think Seattle has to beat Arizona and then SF has to beat Arizona next week. I can definitely see both of those things happening. But then St. Louis has to be Seattle in Seattle next week. That's where my hope starts to wane. Might work out for the best if Arizona wins tonight and makes next week's game meaningless so that the starters can take a week off.

The Bengals are in worse shape. They have to win either vs Denver or in Pittsburgh. Considering the Steelers beat them 2 weeks ago 42-21 im not liking their chances next week.

They might have a shot vs Denver at home but Andy Dalton has a lousy recordin primetime games (0-2 this year, 2-6 career) and NBC could flex the Pittsburgh game too.

If the Bengals lose both games theyre out unless either the Ravens or Chargers lose.

Emperor Smeat 12-21-2014 10:16 PM

Steelers vs Bengals got flexed into the final game for next week.

screech 12-21-2014 10:23 PM

So if the Ravens win next week, they are in if SD loses. Unless Cincinnati wins out, right? If CIN loses tonight, but wins next week, the Ravens still make it?

Droford 12-21-2014 11:06 PM

If the bengals win either one or both games the only way the Ravens are in is if they win and SD loses..

If they win both or only win next week and the Ravens win and Sd loses the Ravens play the bengals and the steelers play the colts.
If the bengals win tomorrow but lose next week and the Ravens win and SD loses the Ravens play the steelers and the Bengals play the Colts.

If the bengals lose both the Ravens are in no matter what SD does and the bengals would be out if sd wins

Bengals would play the steelers again the following week if they lose both, ravens win, sd loses the Ravens play the colts or if SD wins they play the Colts and the Ravens play the Steelers.

Looking back, that was a pretty bad draft year for QBs. Outside of Cutler, nobody really played well or lasted as a starter. Think Leinhert's issues were mostly arm and maybe attitude stuff.

ClockShot 12-23-2014 07:04 AM

Putting the blame on yesterday's loss on Lisa Salters. Dropped the stat before the game that Peyton is 22-1 against the AFC North. Best record of any QB against a division. When you say something like that, said QB is obviously gonna lose the game.

Road to the Super Bowl goes through Foxboro. Unless someone pulls the ultimate shocker and beats the Pats at home, highly unlikely Broncos go back to the game.

If they lose to the Raiders they will have lost two in a row with Peyton looking like garbage for the last couple of weeks. The two things the Ravens do well on defense (stop the run, pressure on qb) was basically how the bengals won last night. The Broncos have been able to cover up whatever the hell is wrong with Manning with their run game since the Rams loss. The bengals stopped the run last night (86 yards) which was a bit more than half what they were averaging (145) since the Rams game.

To my knowledge, he hasn't been fired. And if he is I think it's top choice bullshit. Four seasons, three NFC Title games, and one Superbowl appearance. Dude knows how to win. One bad season is not grounds for firing in my (not so humble) opinion.

On that note, I also firmly stand behind Kaepernick. Things will be worked on and adjustments will be made. He will become more comfortable making his progressions and will hopefully re-establish his ground game. Meanwhile, that overrated asshole Michael Crabtree better show up to camp and work on making easy catches. We're called the "faithful" for a reason. It's one time I don't mind subscribing to the idea of faith.

The team was plagued by distraction this season. And there were so many issues when it came to clock and game management. Also, play calling at times was atrocious. We'll work it out. There are bright spots to be built upon for sure.
