If Mando has taught me anything, they should have just let Jon Favreau do this. Dude understands how to NOT get in the way of a story that tells itself.

Glad I didn't come in here before I saw the movie.

Just came back from it.

Was alright.... felt very much like it was a "reaction" to Last Jedi, no matter how much he says Last Jedi didn't effect his plans at all.... Just felt like while Last Jedi took a lot of "chances" and failed, this "played it very safe" and just won't be that memorable in the end.

That said... it was alright. Think I might prefer to watch the Prequel Trilogy again rather than the Sequel Trilogy if I had the choice.....

I like how Finn's subplot of wanting to tell Rey something, and Poe being upset at him not wanting to share in front of him was just never concluded.

Heavily implied that he wanted to tell her he is force sensitive, but just.... no conclusion to that subplot.

Early screenings brought 40mil. Opening weekend looks to be on pace for 170-200mil opening weekend. Good numbers but down from last jedi (45mil/220mil) and trailing awakens by an even wider margin (57/248)

I didn’t like Last Jedi, but I think most of that movie is a good movie. I know that’s weird, and makes zero sense.

With that said

I think I really hate Rise of Skywalker. Too me it falls flat, and I think it’s because my boy Sheev. It seemed like a wasted appearance, and it’s probably his worse appearance in the entire series. None of his storyline worked for me. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I think Rise of Skywalker will actually help the legacy of The Last Jedi, because I’m already starting to reconsider my feelings about it.

Looks like 176 will be the opening weekend number.

Film will not surpass Ep8 but is still going to be the 2nd biggest gross of the year behind End Game (and ahead of lion king) so its not a failure by any stretch.

The fan rotten tomatoes says its good the reviews say it is bad. Reverse of Last Jedi. Fans mean more than nerd reviewers.

Clearly they don't because this movie isn't likely to best or match The Last Jedi's box office.

Well tbf if jts making less money that means nerds decided not to watch it at all so that means nerds rejected the last film and said missing nerds have no idea if its good or not

New Star Wars movie by Taika Waititi announced. Fanboys gonna eat it up despite lackluster previous Star Wars movies.

New Star Wars live action series announced for Disney+. Gonna be female-led and from a female creator.... so fanboys gonna hate it.

Taika's legit, tho. No matter the dumspter sequel trilogy I'm down with his turn in the sandbox.

If Taika can breathe life into the Star Wars Universe the way he did with Thor: Ragnarok, I'm down for another SW film, even though the recent batch have mostly left me unimpressed.

Should I watch all of Rebels before season 7 of Clone Wars?

Haven't seen either, but I would assume that nothing in Clone Wars spoils Rebels as it takes place before it chronologically.
