Was undertaker/kane/bludgeon bros/bray Wyatt in it?

Frank Drebin 03-10-2018 01:40 AM

All of the above.

Sixx 03-10-2018 02:02 AM

I've been saying this for years. We need a serial killer that murders people using wrestling moves.

Seanny One Ball 03-10-2018 08:40 AM

What about that fat boy who body slammed a little girl to death years ago?
Surely being tried as an adult means the last decade of his life has been perfect fodder for a serial killer origin montage.

Ezra 03-11-2018 04:38 AM

Jumanji

One watch, everyone knows the rules. 6.5 out of 10.

Big breakfast club vibes at the beginning. Very surprised this hasn't been rebooted in a modern setting.

The rock was lovely as usual.

Karen Gillian with a perfect American accent and her bod is just rocking.

Kevin Hart was ok.

Jack Black was my least favorite performance out of the main cast. Shame.

Overall the movie was fun. Would have loved to have seen tom hanks as the grandpa for the father son combo at the end. Not bad and is a good flick to just watch when notbing else is going on.

Ezra your review froths my tide

Moviepass #49 Hurricane Heist - 7/10

Ouija: Origin of Evil 8/10

Remember hearing bad things about this. Maybe it was a different one? I know there are like 50 Ouija movies out there now. But I really enjoyed this. Lots of really creepy disturbing imagery which is what I get down with the most in horror movies.

slik 03-16-2018 11:02 PM

Love, Simon - 8/10

Reminded me a John Hughes movie.

slik 03-16-2018 11:03 PM

@Fignuts I liked Ouija: Origin of Evil too.

Fignuts 03-16-2018 11:34 PM

Yeah, apparently Origin is a prequel, and the first one is the shitty one.

El Vaquero de Infierno 03-17-2018 10:18 AM

Annihilation 8.5/10

I don't know why it did not get a wide cinema release; it is great, though very weird, film.

Droford 03-17-2018 07:43 PM

Paramounts had a run of Shitty box office bombs and they didn't want to be on the hook for another

Black Widow 03-17-2018 09:19 PM

Tomb Raider

Was good especially the new Croft actress

PapaGeorgio 03-18-2018 11:43 AM

Ladybugs - 4/10 creepy stuff these days
Love, Simon - 7/10 has moments, nothing overly new done.
Annihilation - 8.6/10 Really surprised me. Some trippy stuff

Seanny One Ball 03-18-2018 05:20 PM

What does a movie have to do to get an 8.7?

PapaGeorgio 03-18-2018 08:02 PM

needed more hunks

mitch_h 03-18-2018 10:59 PM

Downsizing - Dog shit movie. Started out good and then became :wtf: and then went totally off the rails. I usually like movies the subvert expectations, but this totally abandoned the satirical and inventive elements in favour of something maudlin and trash. 4/10

Detour (1945) - Good B-Noir... but it was like 68 minutes long and it felt like something was missing. Actress Ann Savage is cool, felt like a parody of a noir femme fatale.

Safe in Hell - Good pre-code Hollywood movie. Progressive for the early 30s I guess. It was about a prostitute that thinks she kills her rapist pimp and then hides out on an island and there is a corrupt police captain on the island. Anyway the pimp isn't dead but dies on the island and police captain finds out and says she can avoid the death penalty if she becomes his little slut... she chooses the death penalty but in the process reclaims her independence. I liked this movie.

Justice League - I always think I am going to hate these DC movies but they end up being weirdly entertaining. I felt like there was a lot of right decisions being made but everything is so rushed and a lot of the preceding material is flawed that everything feels slightly off, but in a kind of endearing way. The whole movie felt like Superman's CGI upper lip. 6/10

The Ritual 8/10

Netflix original movie. Really enjoyed this. Built up suspense really well. Great audio cues combined with a great setting made for a really tense atmosphere.

Awesome job building up to the reveal of the monster. Totally worth it too, because it's one of the coolest designs of a horror movie monster ever.

Blue Demon 03-20-2018 09:02 AM

Annihilation - 8/10. Pretty good. I had never heard of it and watched it at a buddy's place last night and thought it was cool, and kinda trippy.

Tomb Raider - 8/10 as well. It was fun and a good origin/reboot.

Seanny One Ball 03-20-2018 09:37 AM

Cardboard Boxer - 2/4

This started surprisingly well and at around the 45 minute mark it devolved into dreadful cliche's, straw grasping emotional peak's and hobo philosophy.
Still, it was better than Bumfights.

Nicky Fives 03-20-2018 12:20 PM

Tomb Raider: 8/10 - Much better than I expected. Given enough people see it and it makes money, I could see a second one being made for sure.

I agree with all of this.

Seanny One Ball 03-21-2018 05:20 PM

I watched three overrated, obviously biased yet immensely entertaining documentaries this week:
All This Mayhem
Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief
The Cove

I tried to watch Mommy Dead And Dearest but it was too bizarre. It made my toes itchy.

Destor 03-21-2018 10:04 PM

Coco: 6/10

Was told it was a musical. Turned out to be a film about music. Very dissapointed. Not the films fault but my disappointment is what it is

Frank Drebin 03-21-2018 10:33 PM

HAHA! That's what you get for liking musicals!

Destor 03-21-2018 11:11 PM

I mean the 3rd act had like 3 numbers...but the characters were aware they were numbers...and the movie made me wait an hour for a number...i dunno.

I cried HARD at the end so its prob an 8/10

Destor 03-21-2018 11:11 PM

But i wanted a musical...

Frank Drebin 03-21-2018 11:27 PM

HAPPY 43,000 POSTS, DESTOR!!

EIWF 03-22-2018 04:29 PM

Watched Fracture with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling.

Its from 2007 but dont recall hearing of it at the time.

It was ok, 3 8ut of 5

It could have been better, i expected it to be too.

Droford 03-22-2018 09:36 PM

Moviepass #51 Unsane 7/10 purely on the story alone because the whole "lets see if I can shoot a movie on an iphone with no budget" idea was a disaster.

Seanny One Ball 03-22-2018 11:41 PM

Unsane?

There's a movie called "Unsane"?

Destor 03-22-2018 11:54 PM

Unsane in the membrane
