Embarrassing moments? The dude takes any gimmick he is given and makes it work great. Just look at this video from earlier in here:

I miss Beth. :(

I miss "I give a shit" Punk

Cool King 09-08-2014 11:43 AM

I did miss Punk at first, but that's slowly dwindled to the point now that I'm not really bothered by him not being around anymore.

These days, he just seems to spend most of his time complaining about everything on Twitter.

XL 09-08-2014 01:00 PM

I miss Punk.

I don't blame him for leaving, but I do miss him. Would mark out big time for his music to hit.

screech 09-08-2014 01:04 PM

I always enjoyed Punk's ring work. I'd be happy if he returned.

Didn't they already do that during their feud? I'm sure they had Big Show play back some clips of the "Dashing" gimmick while Cody acted like they weren't absolutely brilliant.

I guess Sandow and Rhodes had a 3rd member they didn't mention.

If anyone is interested, WWEShop is selling CM Punk's "Best in the World" DVD and Blu-ray for $3 each. Also some other Punk-related stuff on clearance as well.

I totally forgot that Jerry Springer will be on Raw tonight.

I just saw this on WWE.com and thought "Oh yeah, Springer's on Raw tonight. Damn."

Main Event Level theme. :(

Cool King 09-08-2014 05:20 PM

I was listening to Curtis Axel's theme and thinking about how much I like him (not in a gay way), and I then thought "maybe I should buy his T-Shirt".

I checked it out on EuroShop and they're selling it for £22. Add the postage and packaging which I think is around £2.99, and it would cost me a total of £24.99, but let's just say £25.

I then checked it out on WWEShop and it's in the sale for $9.99. Add in the shipping cost of $6.99 and in total, it would cost $16.98. When I convert that into pounds, it comes to £10.54. If I bought it from WWEShop, I would save myself around £14, which is really good.

I get the feeling though that if I bought it, he'd have a new T-Shirt within the next two months. He does need one though. His first one is good, but it's not great. With it saying "Better Than Perfect" on it, I get the feeling that if you wore it outside and someone who doesn't watch wrestling saw it, they would just think you were some egotistical douche.

XL 09-08-2014 05:47 PM

Let them think it.

Cool King 09-08-2014 05:53 PM

I'm not bothered by it. I was just saying.

To be honest, I too would let them think it. To me, it's much better than those T-Shirts you get that talk about pubs and beer. Like the classic "If lost, return to the pub" T-Shirt.

I'm not a fan of T-Shirts that are about beer and pubs.

Same can be said for the ones with half naked women on them. I don't "get" them, but that's just me.

I once saw someone wearing a T-Shirt that said "Nice legs. What time do they open?"

As we've been reporting, WWE is very high on Renee Young. There has even been recent talk of Young anchoring the RAW broadcast booth someday, which shows just how impressed WWE brass is with her progression. One of Young's biggest supporters in the company is Stephanie McMahon, who is encouraging more women to have vital roles within the male dominated organization.

There will be a special Takeover 2 preview episode of WWE NXT next Thursday afternoon at 4pm EST on the WWE Network. There will also be a live 30-minute Takeover Kickoff pre-show before the event begins. The synopsis for the preview episode reads like this: "Renee Young hosts this special preview of NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way with exclusive interviews."

We noted a few weeks ago, via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that WWE's VP of Venue Merchandising & Operations Alan Rebhun was let go after WrestleMania XXX due to major concessions problems at the event in New Orleans, including a large sum of money that went missing at the end of the weekend ...

The company Rebhun hired to do concessions at WrestleMania XXX was Alan Fey's Gameday. Fey was previously responsible for the bankruptcy of another similar company named XP Events back in 2010. We noted that the concessions contract was signed off on by "WWE officials higher than Rebhun" but he kept the Fey connection a secret beforehand. When WWE executive Rich Hering and WWE's legal team found out about this, they looked for the signed concessions contract and found that Rebhun had written & signed a contract with Fey without WWE's knowledge or without the contract being written by WWE legal, which is against company protocol ...

Also, when people in WWE under Rebhun ran credit checks on Gameday, the results of those checks were squashed until WWE's legal team ran their own checks. Regarding a deposit being short $5,000, Hering demanded that all money earned at each WrestleMania XXX week event be immediately collected by company officials, namely Rebhun. This demand came after a heated argument between Rebhun and Hering. Usually trusted vending companies pay WWE within 21 days of an event but because of the situation, Hering wanted it collected immediately. Rebhun skipped the first night that he was supposed to collect the money and left the task to an inexperienced office accounting employee. When Fey gave the accounting employee the money, the accountant gave Fey a receipt for said amount of cash. However, when the money was officially counted it was $5,000 less than what Fey said was there. Because Fey had a receipt for what was "supposed" to be there, he claimed he knew nothing about being short $5,000. Rebhun also hired a company that was a branch of a company called Countrywide. They were the company that took photos of fans in front of green screens and made it appear that they were posing with a WWE Superstar. This company owed WWE around $85,000 before WrestleMania XXX and were roughly 6 months late on payments. This was all covered up by Rebhun. WWE's legal team investigated this matter and found that once again Rebhun wrote a contract without their knowledge.
Actual article was a lot longer and to basically sum it up, the former VP of Merchandise & Operations was covering up a lot of money being missing recently while having deals done without the WWE knowing.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan offended by fake WWE 'bulls--t' and the 'strange' guys who watch it
By Jesse Holland  @Jesse_Holland on Sep 8 2014, 2:50p 78

Quote:

"You know what else would stun that audience? A simple card trick. It's all planned out, it's obvious. [Wresting] is some weird, fucking jerk-off thing that strange guys do, sit in front of the TV and pretend they don't know it's fake. You're pretending. You don't want to know. You shut that part of your brain off. I'd watch lions killing gazelles on television because that's real. I need real. I can't get entertained by fake. When you watch Game of Thrones and you watch a guy get his head cut off, you know what it looks like? It looks like a guy actually getting his head cut off. It looks real. When I watch wrestling, and I see a guy get hit and go, 'UGH!' and turn to the crowd, I know that's bullshit. It's offensive to me."

Fignuts 09-08-2014 11:41 PM

Seems like that quote was taken out of context, and he was just busting the hosts's balls.

Wishbone 09-08-2014 11:44 PM

You know that'd mean a lot more if it wasn't coming from a hack who's biggest claim to fame was a show about eating bugs. Just sayin'.

Listening to pieces of that Joe Rogan podcast. He seems to not be able to grasp the concept that just because something is scripted it doesn't mean it can't be shocking. He's really stuck in "LOL HOW COULD PEOPLE BE SHOCKED UNDERTAKER LOST? IT'S FAKE!"
