Like a bunch of basement dwelling incels are buying cars and shit. Advertisers know this and that why AEW has sponsors like fucking Cracker Barrel despite their "key demos" |

Well they can get Cracker Barrel delivered to the basement so AEW really knows their target audience.

Unimpressive viewership in context, but a good increase with Sting and Shaq. They're not going to be able to bring people in like that every week, so they better hope they made a good impression this week. Feedback I've heard from the show has been less than stellar.

"Sting is a draw"
No he's not. |
LMAO Gertner editing the topic title
|
Surfer Sting was a bigger draw than crappy crow Sting. They used to pack the Cobb County Civic Center in the early 90s. That's the pinnacle of rasslin success.
|
They should've never let out that Sting can't go or bump. Kills any intrigue people might have had in seeing him.
|
He's never been THAT big of a star. I've always been a Sting fan but people WAY over rate how big of a star he was/is in the wrestling world. Outside of 97 Starrcade and some late 80's early 90's matches with Flair (which in hindsight have more to do with Flair since Flair drew with Luger and Sting, but Luger vs Sting never did), he's never been a big draw. He's a 3rd tier guy if I'm going to rank wrestlers.
|
I can agree with that.
|
I’m also a big Sting fan but I did find it funny when Cornette brought up something obvious that never completely dawned on me. The most over Sting ever got was when he spent a year not wrestling... or speaking.

Sting has not historically drawn outside those moments Gertner mentioned, but I don’t know if I even blame him, per se. Anyone remotely interested in watching alternative wrestling is going to tune out when they see that product. It’s a different genre to what Sting fans remember.
|
How much of it is "Sting is not a draw" and how much of it is "What the fuck is this shit? I ain't watching this and I don't care if it's Sting or Hulk Hogan that's on later."
I mean, this week the Main Event featured glorified Trash Bag Joey Janella. |
Sting only coming out to point his bat and then leave isn't going to keep the people interested in him watching. Said it before, but they should've never let it out the bag that he can't/won't bump or get physically involved. It instantly killed any interest in what he might've been doing on the show.

Hahaha!

SD did 1.03 million on FS1, which I believe is better than the last time they aired on FS1. I think last time they did 800k.

Disco was gold, even as a kid who hated heels I loved heel disco!
After Crow Sting he was never in a decent storyline really and as much as I love the guy a non wrestling Sting at this age isnt a longterm draw. Im a massive fan but have almost 0 interest in seeing him wrestle. If they were smart they would rewarm the 97 Angle by having a stable take over and Sting does his lonewolf bit... Yes its a rehash but what isnt in wrestling at this poiint and Sting having NWO flashbacks going mental with a bat on the bad guys is about the best hes capable of at this point. |
Quote:
Also, why does Cody dislike Disco Inferno so much? Seems I missed something somewhere along the way there. |
Holy shit, AEW couldn't even beat SmackDown with the advantage of TNT and being on a Wednesday night and in its usual place.
|
Disco is a very annoying individual to some. He was slapped in the face by Arn Anderson and Eddie Guerrero in separate incidents during his time in WCW. As a performer I almost always liked him though (thought the Filthy Animals run was bad in 2000).

Hurricane makes fun of Disco on Twitter for being an idiot a lot. Well he used to, anyway.

Funny that. PPV bounce backs aren’t what they used to be, but as Raw goes, so does AEW. You’ll probably find it do a bit better than it did last week. Although it might actually do far worse given it’s taped, the show reads awful/boring and it’s in a different slot. But those are actually extenuating circumstances. Further goes to why these immediate reactions to the ratings are bullshit.

This "ace gotcha card" is literally just me posting the exact same way but with an Anti AEW twist instead of Pro AEW. Blind loyalty to AEW is all that matters. TPAEWW, change the name to accurately reflect what the site is, then be mad at people who posts anything against AEW. |

You talk about what is dumb, but you are taking my low thought out memes which are meant to mirror how annoying the unconditional lovefest posts for AEW, and instead think I'm so mad WWE apologist. It's because anything else just confuses, and confused and mad = fucking dumb, shitlord, etc. I'll leave my signature on this post, since you at least seem to notice those... |

Once again you missed the point. Swearing is fine, resorting to name calling in absence of an actual rebuttal because you are incapable of anything else though, is the exact reason I post memes.
