Surfer Sting was a bigger draw than crappy crow Sting. They used to pack the Cobb County Civic Center in the early 90s. That's the pinnacle of rasslin success.

They should've never let out that Sting can't go or bump. Kills any intrigue people might have had in seeing him.

He's never been THAT big of a star. I've always been a Sting fan but people WAY over rate how big of a star he was/is in the wrestling world. Outside of 97 Starrcade and some late 80's early 90's matches with Flair (which in hindsight have more to do with Flair since Flair drew with Luger and Sting, but Luger vs Sting never did), he's never been a big draw. He's a 3rd tier guy if I'm going to rank wrestlers.

That 97 Starrcade match is such a huge and pivotal moment in WCW when it was at its zenith and in wrestling in general, that I think the misconception has been that Sting was this MASSIVE star when everything before and after then in Sting's career(some due to bad booking) pales in comparison to that one show.

I was a huge fan of Sting in 98..... I also liked Disco Inferno though so I might just be weird.

Disco was very underrated in WCW. Got lost in the mix a bit but was always a reliable hand.

Disco was gold, even as a kid who hated heels I loved heel disco!

After Crow Sting he was never in a decent storyline really and as much as I love the guy a non wrestling Sting at this age isnt a longterm draw. Im a massive fan but have almost 0 interest in seeing him wrestle.

If they were smart they would rewarm the 97 Angle by having a stable take over and Sting does his lonewolf bit... Yes its a rehash but what isnt in wrestling at this poiint and Sting having NWO flashbacks going mental with a bat on the bad guys is about the best hes capable of at this point.

WCW had a great collection of undercard guys like Disco. Norman Smiley, someone previously mentioned Ernest Miller, Kanyon, Hugh Morris, Alex Wright, Chavo, etc. Guys who were outside of nWo vs WCW but were there for pretty much the entire Nitro run.

Also, why does Cody dislike Disco Inferno so much? Seems I missed something somewhere along the way there.

Holy shit, AEW couldn't even beat SmackDown with the advantage of TNT and being on a Wednesday night and in its usual place.

Disco is a very annoying individual to some. He was slapped in the face by Arn Anderson and Eddie Guerrero in separate incidents during his time in WCW. As a performer I almost always liked him though (thought the Filthy Animals run was bad in 2000).
