Hulk Hogan’s Divorce Details Go Public
By Mike Krumboltz | Yahoo TV – 1 hour 47 minutes ago

Details surrounding the divorce settlement between Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, and ex-wife Linda Bollea have surfaced in an article in the St. Petersburg Times. The two were divorced in 2009, but specifics of their financial settlement were unknown until now.

So much for 50/50. Linda Bollea received more than 70% of the couple's liquid assets. But the pain doesn't stop there for the Hulkster. His ex also received a 40% ownership stake in Hulk's companies. Plus, she received a $3 million property settlement (more on that below).

The St. Petersberg Times writes that "the confidential financial settlement came to light this week after it was attached to a new motion filed by Terry Bollea's attorneys."

So, what are the gritty details? According to the documents, Linda Bollea got a lump sum of $7.44 million from the couple's investment accounts. The remaining $2.97 million went to the Hulk.

The properties were either sold or are still on the market. The couple's home used in "Hogan Knows Best" was originally listed for nearly $14 million. It is now available for around $8.87 million. Once that sells, Hogan will owe his ex-wife $1.45 million. The two will split the remaining proceeds.

Additionally, Linda Bollea received several cars in the split, including a Mercedes-Benz, a Corvette, a Cadillac Escalade, and a Rolls-Royce. Hulk received many of the remaining automobiles.

It may sound like Hulk got body slammed, but it's not all bad news for the iconic wrestler. Deadspin explains that the Hulkster will get to keep any money he earns from personal appearances and will not have to pay alimony.

By celebrity standards, Hulk and Linda had what could be considered a pretty successful marriage. They were together for roughly 26 years and had two children, Nick and Brooke. Their reality program, "Hogan Knows Best," ran for four seasons.

That's not a nice thing to say about Brooke.

Rammsteinmad 11-23-2011 07:04 PM

On one hand, Hogan has been an egotistical, greedy, money-grubbing prick his entire career, so I'm kinda glad he's had to take this kick in the nuts.

On the other hand, as Gerard said, (I don't know anything about Linda and can't be fucked to research it, just going by what G said), she's probably not worked a single day in the last 25 years, why should she be entitled to so much?

What's crazy is that I'm sure Linda had NO IMPACT on Hulk Hogan achieving all that he did, and making all that money. She was jut at home, raising the kids, not having to work, and living the good life.

Xero 11-23-2011 07:15 PM

lol no Impact.

Emperor Smeat 11-23-2011 08:11 PM

 how much Linda got from the divorce with even more expected although it sounds like Hogan gets most of the unsold house money which could make the whole thing balanced again.

What actually caused their divorce, the car accident involving their son or something else?

Xero 11-23-2011 08:16 PM

They were probably tired of each other.

I'd probably get tired of living with either one after 25 years, too, even if I only saw them once every two weeks.

Emperor Smeat 11-23-2011 08:19 PM

I'd be too after 25 years of Hogan always talking about his 24 inch pythons or why Hulk-a-mania will never die every night before bed.

The kids probably hated Hogan always telling them to eat their vitamins and Linda probably hated having to buy countless shirts to replace the ones Hogan kept ripping when doing impromptu house promos.

CM Punk takes a shot at TPWW

Quote:

Recently WWE champion C.M. Punk addressed the criticism that WWE called him back to TV too soon after his Money in the Bank victory. He talked to ESPN's Jon Robinson and says WWE made the right call:

"In a perfect world, yeah, you could stretch everything out more, but realistically, it's a business. You needed a main event for Summerslam. So for all of the armchair bookers out there who are like, 'No, Punk came back too soon!' I agree with you, but, the second largest pay-per-view of the year, what match are you going to put in the main event? People need to take that into account. Nobody ever likes to look into things, they just like to bitch and complain about everything."

Xero 11-23-2011 08:22 PM

I said pretty much exactly that. It wasn't how I would have preferred his return to be booked, but it was the best way for business. On a short-term basis, anyway.

Heard a interesting story today. One of the local boys here in Louisiana was booked on a card in Natchez, Miss. recently. Sean Waltman was scheduled to face D-Lo Brown and apparently was looking for something to get his hands on. He ended up taking 16 nasal decongestions to get a buzz. After the match, he needed attention with oxygen and CPR from the ambulance drivers that were in attendance. :nono:

Well, it has to be in the ring and they go back and forth on the champion's current condition. By 24/7 I assume they mean anywhere, ring or no ring.

In which case, no, that would be stupid.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-26-2011 12:31 AM

It might be a talking point if a cashing in happened at a WWE expo at a comic con or something of that nature. People were real excited to see Punk at Comic Con after winning the title and bolting.

I am opposed to the idea though and that would be the only acceptable way to me if they went ahead and did it.

What Would Kevin Do? 11-26-2011 11:08 AM

You know, if WWE is going to keep bringing up this "Dibiase Posse" thing, they should really consider changing his music. "I come from MOney" doesn't sound like the theme of a guy who wants to chill with fans in parking lots.

TheAdamEvansFan 11-26-2011 12:17 PM

3 Matches that I'd like to see at Mania

CM Punk vs Jericho - Might happen.
Kane with Mask vs Undertaker - Career Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Randy Orton - Rattlesnake vs Viper (Orton would have to turn heel)

Obviously not all of these matches could happen due to the need to still put over new talent, but I think Randy Orton is a modern day Steve Austin.

CM Punk obviously works the Mic and has the inring ability to go toe to toe with Jericho, who is also a great heel.

Kane and Undertaker are reaching the end of their careers, and this would be a good way for either Kane to go out with his mask on, or for Taker to have his streak broken.

TheAdamEvansFan 11-26-2011 12:20 PM

Kevin Nash vs Big Show would also make a great Mania Match.

I loved The Giant vs The Giant showdown in WCW. However, Big Show needs to lose more weight and Nash needs to get the ring rust out of his system before their feud could garner serious momentum.

Aguakate 11-26-2011 12:23 PM

Why do people think that Kane with a mask is dramatically going to make Kane better?
Kane with or without mask Vs Taker would be a bad/boring match regardless.

I'd rather see Punk Vs Taker.

Xero 11-26-2011 03:13 PM

They can book Kane exactly the same whether he has the mask or not. The mask is good for nostalgia, but it's not going to make his angles any better or worse.

Taker vs. Kane probably shouldn't happen anyway. Honestly, if Taker has one match left in him (and he waits another year), I'd much rather see Taker vs. Cena. It's one of the few true money making feuds that they haven't attempted (after Cena was the huge star). It really comes down to whether Taker can work or not. If he can't but wants another match, it should be with someone he can destroy in a few minutes. Honestly, Kane would probably fit that role well. If he thinks he has another proper match in him, Cena would be the way to go.

If they're doing ONE Austin match, they'd get more mileage out of Punk vs Austin rather than Orton vs. Austin. If Austin had a few in him, Orton would probably be third or fourth on my list of Austin matches.

Punk vs. Jericho is the best thing listed in this thread, and I'm guessing we'll be getting it at Mania this year. And it will be amazing.

– WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes will be appearing in a new independent Christmas horror movie called "Hell Elves" this January. The campy movie follows a small group of rogue elves who turn on Santa Claus. They kill everyone and put their body parts in jars to give out to kids as presents. Rhodes briefly appears as a grandfather to one of the children, running out of the shower nude and confronting the elves as they come down his chimney. The scene was filmed earlier this month. Hell Elves hits iTunes and Netflix on January 17, 2012 and is scheduled to be released on DVD sometime in early 2012.

You know a movie is low-budget, and more than likely not good, when, as part of the description, you get "They kill everyone".

In the Royal Rumble, have a buildup of people not getting eliminated, say 15 people in the ring all at once. At #40, have Kane come out to his old theme and mask on. Kane enters the ring and eliminates 7 people upon his entrance. Keep the Rumble going and make Kane look strong and gradually eliminate more people, in the process breaking his own record for most number of eliminations in one Rumble. Just as it looks like he’s going to win, have Mark Henry come down and eliminate Kane because he sees Kane as a threat to his title. At Elimination Chamber, have Kane cost Henry the title, which sets up a match at WrestleMania.
