Next Takeover show is April 1st. Have they really already filmed that far ahead? Jesus.

The Destroyer 02-06-2016 05:07 PM

They did two tapings within about a week of each other for some reason. The UCF tapings from Rumble weekend covered most of February and maybe one week of March followed by a Full Sail taping a week later which takes them up to Takeover.

Yeup. Learned from last year's mistake of trying to follow a normal schedule during Road to Mania only led to stuff being rushed in the end.

Unlike this year, the WWE refused to allow a NXT Takeover to happen near Mania and picked to have a Takeover occur earlier than wait 5-6 months in between events. Also gave them a strict cut-off date for tapings which impacted the decision to do the event earlier than they wanted.

Theory: Triple H is now a 14 time world champion. Let's say he loses it at Wrestlemania, then wins it back [whenever, let's say Summerslam]. Now, he's a 15 time champion, same as John Cena.

Survivor Series, he loses it again. To Roman, let's say, simply by virtue of the fact that he's the one Vince wants. Trips says he wants his rematch at Wrestlemania 33. He can have it whenever he wants because Authority lolz.

Then John Cena wins the Royal Rumble.

Roman vs. Triple H vs. Cena at Wrestlemania 33. The storyline is Trips and Cena are racing to be the first one to tie Ric Flair's 16-time record. Actually, make Flair the special guest referee, too, because why not?

Wishbone 02-07-2016 07:14 PM

But how does Roman fit into that equation?

At some point during the match he snaps after getting booed for some bullshit reason and just starts beating the piss out of Cena before turning on HHH and totally mauling him. Maybe have some new stable form NWO style out of the deal.

Perfect time for a heel turn.

Hunico could do it.

Mr. Nerfect 02-07-2016 08:54 PM

Really think the WWE missed out a potentially massively over star in Hunico. Once he lost the mask, if they had presented him as an actual human being, he could have been the coolest thing ever.

These reports were met with mostly backlash from the IWC, as most fans have not been keen on rumored plans for the Wyatt Family member.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Strowman is improving, and it’s mostly evident when he works out. According to multiple PWInsider sources, Strowman is a lot better than what we’ve seen on WWE TV and he can do a lot more in the ring than what we’ve seen from him so far. Apparently Strowman’s in-ring skills are being saved for a bigger stage, likely WrestleMania.

We’ve noted in the past how Vince McMahon sees Braun as one of his personal “projects”, and wants to push him as a top guy in WWE. Everything we see from Strowman comes straight from Vince McMahon, down to how he’s been presented, to the way he works, the way he picks opponents up, the way he stumbles around and sometimes takes bumps. These are all reportedly “edicts” from Vince McMahon.

Rumor going around recently involves Taker not wanting to wrestle Strowman at Mania since he doesn't think Strowman is worthy for that match nor would it be any good.

Although the whole rumor might also be based on another website taking what the Observer said out of context or mishearing what was said.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-07-2016 09:59 PM

Yeah if I was Taker I'm not going to show up to something like that. He's had little to no push except knocking people out with a front sleeper.

Hell, as old as Taker is, he shouldn't have to carry barely mobile hosses who can't work.

If only there was a big guy on WWE's roster who can work and make for a great match, and could actually mean something to him. Nah, they're too focused on making him a joke and a flunky.

And I don't see anything wrong with that. In a way it does less to "damage the credibility" of pro wrestling than other companies because it clearly presents itself as a scripted show about a pro wrestling company. The amount of nut shots during the Attitude Era alone should have been enough to convince wrestlers to wear them.

Monday's episode of WWE RAW, featuring Daniel Bryan's retirement speech in the main event slot, drew 3.726 million viewers. This is up from last week's 3.383 million viewers but down from the over 4 million they drew for the post-Royal Rumble episode two weeks ago.

For this week's show, the first hour drew 3.907 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.905 million viewers and the final hour drew 3.368 million viewers.
Some confusion going around the net regarding the overrun since it was a lot longer than usual (26 minutes) with some sites saying it was already factored into the ratings/viewership and others saying it wasn't. Either way the biggest surprise is the very low 3rd hour that could have been near the sub-3 range if it wasn't for Bryan's speech. Observer speculated if this was a regular RAW and not one built around Bryan, WWE could have been looking at a new historic non-football/holiday low for RAW.

The online backlash in the first 24 hours after the Braun vs. Taker news broke may have changed WWE's plans, according to PWInsider. A very well-placed source noted that the bad reaction to the match may have caught on within the company and the match may have been nixed within 24 hours of the news getting out. It should be noted that Vince is always changing plans and they could go back to Taker vs. Braun.

In regards to what the back-up plan for Taker would be, a source noted that those details had not trickled down to other sources yet and likely only a small circle of people were aware of exactly what those plans are. It was noted that Taker's opponent at WrestleMania will likely be someone totally unexpected.

Rumors about Taker not wanting to wrestle Strowman might have been true after all.

These are the tests that look at all different parts of brain. Got them back January 28th.

Observer on what played a big role in Bryan's retirement announcement. Hinted the tests might have came back with signs of brain damage and pasts tests only focused on the part of his brain that was unaffected. The recent test Bryan took is called the eVox System test which focuses on a lot more areas than regular CTE type tests.

"So some guy ended up getting thrown out (and roughed up) by security for trying to start a chant by singing that "na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye" song while Daniel was talking. It was during the moment the whole place went silent while he was going over his gratitude; the guy started screaming the tune at the top of his lungs. Three security guys rushed him and just pulled him out of our row and he was out of there quick. You can tell by the look on his face that he didn't even know what was happening."

According to multiple sources, talents booked for the first season through AAA received their pay directly from AAA after the Mexican promotion was paid by Lucha Underground. By the time wrestlers received their pay, as the story goes, AAA had taken a pretty sizable percentage.

The frustration has been enough that there's been talk of some talents looking to leave the promotion for work elsewhere. There was also a concern that since AAA has ownership points in LU, that if they did, anyone who bolted would find themselves iced out of future Lucha Underground seasons, something none of the AAA/LU talent would want since across the board, they have been very happy with the treatment they've received from LU management. We are told that while AAA has ownership in a percentage of Lucha Underground, they have no creative say in how talents are booked or used on the series, which is set in it's own "universe" so to speak.

Supposedly the fan was causing problems all night long. Had two other incidents involving him managing to say something during the Miz-Jericho segment that caused a bleep to occur on tv and another thing that pissed off a lot of people around him.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 10:47 PM

Yeah, was, watching on the DVR and there was one part during Miz/Jericho segment that cut all audio. Might have been then. I'm sure he pissed a lot of people off with the Daniel Bryan stuff, his fans a very anal if you bash him.
