Moviepass #8 Happy Death Day - 7.5/10 twas better than I expected

Droford 10-13-2017 11:32 PM

Blood Diner - I dont even know what to say about it other than if you like cannibalism, nazis, wrestling nazis, zombies, more canibalism, and the worst dubbing of an movie that was (I think) already in english in history, then its for you.

Moviepass #9 Flatliners 2017 - 5/10

For starters within the next few months I'm going to end up needing open heart surgery so seeing a movie where a bunch of people decide hey lets stop our hearts inn the name of science probably wasn't great idea. All the reviews seemed to have the same idea..the movie feels pointless. I will agree and add to that the biggest pointlessness is Kiefer Sutherland having an extended cameo and not doing anything with him. But..anyway..it wasn't bad..it wasn't good..just felt like 100 minutes of pointlessness.

I'm seeing Snowman tomorrow night. I might be bothered to see Geostorm too..I guess

Moviepass #10 Snowman 6/10
Not as bad as reviews made it out to be but the killer reveal us dumb and the final confrontation is even worse.

All the reviews say this is easily the worst movie theatrically released this year by a mile and a half..we'll see

Damian Rey 2.0 10-19-2017 07:55 PM

Spider-Man Homecoming-8/10

Favourite Spidey to date. Very light, whimsical, small in scale but thoroughly funny, enjoyable and entertaining. Small gripes include the Flash Thompson casting but whatever. This movie was fun as fuck.

Michael Keaton is so great. Tom Holland was perfect. And Aunt May as a sassy Italian lady is so sexy. More please.

Disturbed316 10-19-2017 08:38 PM

Train to Busan - 9/10

Don't usually go for foreign language films but anything with zombies and I'll give it a go. This was easily one of the best zombie films out there, it had a great set of characters and the story was really gripping.

Damian Rey 2.0 10-22-2017 05:33 PM

Baby Driver-8/10

Fun thrill ride. Not too deep a plot or anything but very enjoyable and a great soundtrack. Driving sequences are well done.

@Droford

I don't like it when you make a post saying what movie you are watching and then later edit it to add in your score. Half the time I just forget about it. Sometimes I go "oh yeah Droford made a post" and then I have to scroll up to find it and see your edited post with the score.

I suggest just not making the post until you are ready to rate it.

Destor 10-23-2017 12:37 PM

there is so one, low postcount guy, who posts in here and doesnt even rate them...fuck that guy

The Babysitter - 8/10 - Netflix original horror/suspense movie. Not usually a fan of these types of movie, but I liked this one a lot. Basically a gruesome, inappropriate Home Alone.

Seanny One Ball 10-24-2017 02:18 PM

Home Alone was appropriate?!

Those burglars would have died ten times over.

I just watched this last night.

Id give it a 7/10. Thought it was entertaining

El Vaquero de Infierno 10-27-2017 03:40 PM

Thor: Ragnarok 8/10

Not terrible but if youre going to drag the Saw franchise out if mothballs after so long you'd think it's be better. Even the twist was kinda convoluted and silly at best.

Droford 10-28-2017 11:30 AM

I'm thinking about seeing Nightmare before Christmas today..have never seen it and I can see it with my moviepass

Droford 10-29-2017 12:42 AM

Moviepass #12 Suburbicon 8/10 Just a notch less liked than Fargo mainly cause the characters aren't as good

GD 10-29-2017 03:28 AM

American Made - 8/10

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) - 6/10

Sandler with a very strong performance.

Droford 10-31-2017 07:38 PM

Gonna go see Keep Watching tonight at 10.
Movie filmed 2 years ago and getting a 1 show 1 night release how bad could it be lol

Edit - This is definitely the night I finally have a theatre all to myself..no way anyone else wants to see it

Droford 10-31-2017 11:54 PM

A couple showed up 5 min into the trailers and judging by the noises I heard they probably didn't #keep watching

Moviepass #13 Keep Watching 5/10 kinda felt like the original Purge + Paranormal Activity + Standard House Iinvasion movie. 1 fairly inventive death. If you can get past the fact the bad guys basically can see everything because they wired up the house with more cameras than Big Brother..its ok. The ending was obvious and a cop out...and i have no idea who Bella Thorne is but she's ok I guess.

GD 11-01-2017 05:47 AM

Christopher Nolan's Following - 8/10

Droford 11-02-2017 12:11 AM

Moviepass #14 Only the Brave 8/10 easily the best of all the movies I've seen with MP.

Seanny One Ball 11-02-2017 10:33 AM

Kong: Skull Island - 8/10

This was infinitely better than I had ever hoped for. I honestly thought this was going to be the worst Kong yet but it is easily my favourite now.
John C Reilly just waltzes in there and steals that movie right from under everybody. Nobody fights it, they can all see how perfect he is in the role.

I'm excited for Godzilla v Kong now.

GD 11-03-2017 01:14 AM

Thor: Ragnarok - 10/10

Where The Day Takes You

I found this on Netflix. It's about this guy named King who wears a leather jacket with a snake on it, and he leads this group of runaway white people that live on the streets of Los Angeles, one of them is a drug addict who wears a varsity jacket with a W on it played by Sean Astin. Hot Laura Flynn Boyle joins the group and she hooks up with King. King eventually gets into this spat with some other guy and that guy gets shot by one of the young guys in the group who has gay sex to get by which causes some drama. Kyle McLaughlin plays a drug dealer who lives in one of those rooms with graffiti on the walls and an incline bench press rack next to the couch. It's Will Smith's first movie as well apparently, he plays a guy in a wheelchair without legs. I don't know, it was basically a glorified episode of Melrose Place with a better cast but equally as melodramatic. Movies from the early nineties hit a specific nostalgic nerve with me though so it kept my attention.

Seanny One Ball 11-03-2017 02:08 PM

Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10

This film was so good, so well written and so fantastically acted that it made me like Jennifer Lawrence for a while and I really really fucking hate Jennifer Lawrence.

Inception - 8/10

I'm glad I waited to see this. This was great fun.

Ruien 11-04-2017 12:19 AM

Chappie 9/10. Wonderful all around movie.

Chappie scared the shit out of me. I was in existential crisis for days after I saw that.

Lock Jaw 11-04-2017 01:13 PM

Been meaning to watch Chappie since...... it came out.

Seanny One Ball 11-04-2017 01:37 PM

I gave it away because it genuinely messed with my head.

I think about death constantly and Chappie is not a good film for that sort of thinking.

I was genuinely surprised by how good "Silver Linings Playbook" was when I was saw it in the theater. Well, I did go after referring to the Rotten Tomatoes score. Jennifer Lawrence can act her behind off and it shows when she's phoning it in.
