Nikki Bella hinting at her career's future to be determined later this week. Also confirmed again her Rack Attack finisher and they way she was doing it was the cause of her neck injury.

Quote:

I have basically a broken neck, a pretty bad herniated disk. What makes mine a little bit difficult than most people is that I have some disk behind my vertebrae so with a lot of prayers we’re gonna pray that the doctors can get the piece behind my vertebrae with just a bone fusion.

[Had pain since July, had MRI in Oct] Right when we saw that [MRI] we knew OK no more ring work. So it’s just been a wear and tear and what we do it’s entertainment but there’s a reason why we say, ‘Don’t try this at home.'

As of now I will be in the hospital just for a day or two. But unfortunately I will be at home with a neck brace for three months, no travel. I can barely be in the car because of the spot where my injury is in, my C6 my C7, I have to try as much as I can not to move my neck so it can heal. In six months time is when I will get that final X-ray to be like, ‘Hey look you can get back in that ring and kick some ass.'

But...There is a potential that this is career-ending. We will only know that when I get out of surgery on Wednesday and then basically how the bone heals Wednesday. So that’s been tough but I truly have such hope that I will get to compete in that ring another day, I really do.

Although many are well aware of AJ Styles' recent 2 matches with WWE, no l3ss, many, many fewer may know that Sunday was NOT actually Styles' debut for the company, but rather his return nearly 14 years in the making.

Well, here we are at the 26th of January 2016, 14 years to the day, since, when back in 2002, Styles' made his actual WWE (then WWF) televised debut on WWF Metal, facing none other than the company's resident superhero, The Hurticane:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WOo2blFzIyY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Styles would have his second match in the then WWF the following night, January 27th, losing a dark match prior to a SD! taping, to Rico.

I don't see rookie Phil Knoxx taking down Miniak. Ric Roberts/Xristo is a toss up but I have a feeling the tourney will end up as Ric "The Mic" Roberts vs Miniak in the final match and Miniak taking the crown.

As for the other trademarks AJ retained ownership of in the deal, we’re told they include his nickname “The Phenomenal One” and the name of his finisher “The Styles Clash.”

I have a short video showing them return but i’ll explain what happened after in case anyone thinks they were planted for The Rock.

So basically they let them come back which got a massive pop. Though of course they didn’t want them on screen to not distract as they were. Cept when the crowd was bored they chanted the Savage (as we saw during the Miz match).

The Seats they were put were was the Flo Rida set up was for him and his crew. Once that segment happened those seats were empty for the rest of the night. Now when The Rock came out and the Savage chants started again, The guy actually told the crowd to stop (seemed like he was scared of being kicked out). Then hid his head down under the guard rail. As he looked up is when Rocky saw him then went off script. Was a great moment.

From her opulent office atop TNA’s corporate headquarters, Tennessee Towers, Carter laughed maniacally as she watched her latest double-agent, AJ Styles, infiltrate WWE’s Royal Rumble.

“Excellent,” Carter whispered, grinning sinisterly as WWE fans chanted for Styles. “Those mindless pawns don’t realize they are being played.”

Carter’s henchmen have been steadily invading the WWE ranks for months, including: the Dudley Boyz, James Storm, Consequences Creed (known in WWE as Xavier Woods), Austin Aries, Samoa Joe (known in WWE as Jey Uso), and now AJ Styles.

Carter is known in the pro wrestling industry as an “evil genius” who will stop at nothing to squash the competition, even if the competition is as relatively small and harmless as McMahon’s floundering WWE.

Is there talks of Angle getting g signed to work Mania this year? Like, they need some damn star power bad. He has to be in decent enough shape to work one match right? This is stupid. Annoying as all hell because if they don't bring him back now I doubt he will ever come back.

Ruien 01-27-2016 09:40 PM

Hell, could bring him back to help Lesnar. Put Angle against the huge guy or Harper while Bray goes against Lesnar and the other 2 are in a tag match.

Emperor Smeat 01-27-2016 09:42 PM

Angle's currently considering a non-wrestling deal with TNA to stay in the company and help train their younger wrestlers according to the sheets.

If he doesn't accept, already hinted he's taking the rest of the year off and try one more time to get a WWE deal for a possible retirement match and Hall of Fame induction for 2017.

Ruien 01-27-2016 09:44 PM

Well that is lame. Heck, take a year off but be a escort for Lesnar to the ring to help even the scales. Arg. Want to see Angle so bad.

During the NXT tapings in Orlando, FL, general manager William Regal played a video for the crowd announcing that the former NJPW Champion's first appearance will be at the sold-out TakeOver event on Friday, April 1st on WWE Network. Unfortunately, the video hasn't been released as of this writing and we're still unclear as to whether it's just an appearance or any type of match. As of now, the 35-year-old Nakamura's Wikipedia is slotting him against Sami Zayn on that show.

Spoiler tags used since its related to the on-going NXT tapings tonight and for those that wanted to stay surprised.

Questions began to arise when Mercury was absent for NXT’s mid-December TV tapings, an unusual occurrence that left NXT trainers and wrestlers alike wondering where he was. Mercury was otherwise always present at the tapings and no explanation for his absence had been given.

When Mercury then missed WWE’s traditional late-December tour of the east coast, including a card at WWE’s Mecca, Madison Square Garden, suspicions that Mercury was in hot water with the company became a topic of hushed conversation amongst the boys.

While nobody knew (or knows) where he was, some speculated that Mercury had been secretly suspended by WWE. Others suggested that Mercury – who spent a six month spell in rehab in 2006 – could have fallen off the wagon and had been sent on what the boys refer to as “a vacation”. A further theory was that Mercury had been granted a leave of absence to deal with a difficult divorce.

Of course, all of the theories are purely speculative at this point as WWE have not provided any official confirmation. Not that they would need to; Mercury is not a wrestler, as per the terms of his contract, he is a behind the scenes staffer and different rules apply.

However, if Mercury was once again battling his personal demons it would be a blow to Paul Levesque (Triple H), one of his most ardent supporters. Following the PR disaster of the Bill DeMott situation last year, having another of Levesque’s hand-picked entourage causing headaches would not reflect well on him and his ability to surround himself with reliable members of staff.

Observer is currently investigating the rumors as well since Meltzer heard of the story around the same time as WhatCulture.

Looking back at season one, even I was surprised that Vampiro was the master. Every time we were working on the story, I knew there was a master, but I had no idea who it was. I found out very late in season one. That really fueled me, and made me want to get better, because of who I was going to be working with

"Kalisto is someone with a lot of talent," Del Rio said. "The rivalry between us is only in the ring. I'm doing the same thing for Kalisto that Rey Mysterio did for me. When I first got to WWE, Rey Mysterio introduced me to all the people I had to meet. He guided me and gave me all the advice that I needed to know to succeed in the company. Now I'm doing the same thing for Kalisto to see if he can have the same success I had. Hopefully there's more Mexican wrestlers in WWE one day."

I just got off the phone with my brother Bret, who called to wish me well. In talking to Bret, I can confirm that WWE will NOT be inducting Owen, Davey, Blue Blazer or even as Bret and I suggested, of inducting the entire Hart Foundation as a unit this year in Dallas for their fictional Hall of Fame ...

The reason given for the lack of an Owen induction is still our former Sister in law, Martha who still holds a grudge as if the tragedy happened days ago.
Suppossedly Smith Hart is claiming the WWE wanted Owen Hart for the Hall this year but got rejected by Owen's widow. Also WWE rejected a backup plan by Bret to induct the Hart Family as a consolidation for this year's class. https://www.facebook.com/smith.hart....43588415724366

It's probably nothing except everyone is talking about it and essentially she's got the new round [of heat]. If people had calmed down about her and just said 'well, OK, she made a mistake,' well they haven't. I don't know if that played any part in this. I was just told about it tonight after the show and it was actually by someone who had not even watched the show, but had heard the story, just saying that like there's a new round of heat, everyone likes Rusev and there was something, and, you know, they are just mad at her again.

Observer on management using Rock-Lana interaction from RAW as another punishment for Lana because of some sort of recent incident and probably them still holding a grudge over the TMZ leak. Also decided to do it on the same day they announced a new anti-bullying campaign with Boys & Girls Club.

TNA actually has a farm system? Whow.

Don't think they really have a farm system of sorts but do have a bunch of younger and newer wrestlers the company thinks Angle could help mentor as a trainer.

Savio 01-27-2016 10:42 PM

Just saw the rock segment with Lana, feel kinda bad for them to put her in that position.

Are they not using OVW anymore?

Emperor Smeat 01-27-2016 10:55 PM

Got rid of them a few years ago although don't remember if it was tied into their financial problems from the Hogan/Bischoff era or just something related with OVW itself.

Biggest reason TNA made a deal with them was due to WWE dropping OVW in favor of FCW/NXT.

They might of also had developmental deals with Booker T's and Dudley Boys wrestling schools when those guys were on the roster.
