At this point, anything not WWE = independent.

that's true...if you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about

Anyone remember that Steve Blackman reality show that was apparently filmed for the network? What's the latest on that?

Razzamajazz 08-25-2014 10:48 PM

I want to see him in ring gear but he looks good for him and should only get one better shape with their plans,

Tazz Dan 08-26-2014 12:10 AM

Is Steen really that 'fat', or is he just a 'solid' guy?

I probably need to search some stuff of his and watch it and find out myself I guess. I only ask as he doesn't look that 'fat' in the picture above.

Tazz Dan 08-26-2014 12:10 AM

That might be my goal this week while Mikala is working, find some good Steen and Devitt(sp?) matches and check them out.

Hanso Amore 08-26-2014 12:36 AM

No hes fat

Like Chris Hero fat

But he looks to have lost a ton

Hanso Amore 08-26-2014 12:38 AM

He wrestles in a t shirt which is like swimming in one

look at him here, not huge but overweight, and he looks like he blew past this

The guy formerly known as Drake Younger looks like he's 65. He's 29. Jesus Christ.

It's a US term for small regional companies. Companies with no exclusive contracts with talent. Companies that don't tour.

TNA is not an independent and to a degree neither is roh...and new japan and aaa certainly aren't,

So Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, Devitt, Steen, etc. are all "indie" guys, but none of the promotions for which they worked are "indie" feds?

Fignuts 08-26-2014 08:24 AM

Why do you keep listing Devitt as an "indie" guy when we keep telling you he isn't. The term is used for guys who spent the majority of their careers before WWE, touring the nation working for different regional indie companies.

Devitt has worked for NJPW for the majority of his career.

Those other guys are most famous for their runs in ROH, but they worked in tons of other small feds across the country as well. And even though ROH may tow the line between indie and major promotion now, they were still an indie promotion when a lot of those guys worked for them.

they were an indy back then. they're still pretty regional even with a national TV deal...hard to class them but since most of their guys are still having to work all across the nation for every small town with a pay out i would say RoH is still an indy. Hell many still have day jobs.

XL 08-26-2014 01:22 PM

Would anybody be so kind as to post all of the Kane/Bryan/Dr. Shelby stuff in chronological order? I wasn't watching the show when all that happened.

Kinda wanna see these two form a tag-team simply so we could see that entrance more often.

Hey, Gertner. Jesse Ventura did a shoot for RF Video. I saw a preview of it. Was wondering if you've seen it.

He's always fun to listen to based solely on how crazy he is. Seems like him shooting about wrestling for a couple hours could be entertaining.

F4Wonline.com has confirmed Monday's report about TNA being offered a spot on Discovery's VELOCITY network, which is available in only HD and less than 50 million homes. TNA moving to VELOCITY was described as a worst case scenario. If they take the deal, TNA would have to cut so far back on production and talent that the TNA as we know it would be no more.

Batista's future with the company was a hot topic backstage at this weekend's WWE live events. There's also the risk of Batista getting injured now that his film career will be taking off. It's almost guaranteed that Batista will receive a lot more offers for movies because of his role in a blockbuster hit like Guardians. Batista is no longer seen as a guy who acts in indie movies and studios will be hesitant to cast him in movies if he's performing in a wrestling ring

The general feeling before she got married to Punk was that A.J. would be the next Diva to have a good five-year reign as one the top faces of the Divas Division. But because of Punk's rocky relationship with WWE management right now, there is said to be some serious doubt about how long A.J. might end up sticking around.

There is some talk going around now that A.J. leaving the company within the next 18 months is a very real possibility.

I haven't really got into RF video, mainly because it looks really low end and Ron Feinstein is a pedophile.

After how his Guest Booker went, I doubt he'll be invited back. He just complained about being hungry and just rushed through it.

Also, my Kaitlyn T-Shirt arrived today.

For some reason, it was sent to me in Amazon packaging. So I'm assuming that WWE EuroShop and Amazon have teamed up since EuroShop's return.

Anyway, I'm quite pleased with my purchase and I have no buyer's remorse. :y:
