HOB definetly one of the coolest stables in AEW and suffering from swollen roster. Plz ROH take away like 30 ppl. Malakai Black should be feuding with Hangman and about to win the title so he can have matches with Punk, Omega and Bryanson.

I support Jordans vision although I would prefer the best wrestler in the universe, PAC, to be champion and having all those great matches.

PAC can be in the mix with all those guys but you can't put the belt on him cause he doesn't always make it to work!

Thats honestly pretty beleivable. From what I understand, Matt is the brains behind the buck's merch success, and Jericho has been very entrepreneurial for years. Not saying it absolutely isnt made up damage control, but I can certainly beleive its true.

the time line doesnt even partially work so i cant even approach the idea of it being true. the idea that became AEW predates Kahns involvement all together. im sure jericho was a big part in bringing the money mark in but the conception of this project was cody and the bucks working bullshit indy shows wanting more. any claim to the contrary is a farce.

They did their own PPV which Jericho made a surprise appearance at, his first non-WWE appearance in the US in nearly 2 decades, and then Khan started to get involved shortly after that because AEW was officially launched months later.

I don’t think the Elite had any doubts about their ability to sell out a PPV, and I don’t doubt Matt or whoever was pushing to go even further. But I could see why there would be trepidation from some of the group turning it into an actual promotion when the chance came. IIRC the guys were all making good money between NJPW/ROH so it’s not really a surprise that Khan would’ve had to sell them on the vision, no matter how much money he said would be thrown at the project you’re still taking something of a leap of faith.

End of the day I really appreciate TK’s enthusiasm most of the time but I wish this is the kind of thing he could’ve just shut up about. Even if it were completely true, it doesn’t make you look any better nor is it a PR “win”. All it’s really doing is giving the anti-AEW tribalists something else to seize on.
