Yeah, or certain parts of it. The CGI should accent parts of it for that green glow effect.

Well I'd assume since he's wearing a tight suit anyway there will be a primarily black recolor with some white (gloves?) and a soft green cover to avoid the Dr. Manhattan effect.

Could also have something to do with the fact that green screen and green costumes don't go together.

That wouldn't be the reason for doing something like this. There have been green costumes and characters in CGI environments before.
They would just use a blue screen. It does the same thing, and is used just as often. In fact, blue screens were used before greens ever were

The "his suit is otherworldly" excuse is kind of lame. Yes, it has otherworldly powers that would call for CGI glow and CGI effects when he changes into it.
Still, it's a suit. It's a skin tight suit with a logo, boots, gloves, etc.
It's always been drawn as such and it's never looked like it wasn't a suit that Green Lantern wasn't physcially wearing.
I think that's lame logic for wanting to CGI the thing.

It's ridiculous to act like there is anything about his suit that is fundamentally different from Superman, Batman, Spiderman, etc., other than the fact that it has a bright green glow around his person.

Miss Martian is really a "White Martian" or something like that, but disguises herself as a green martian because white martians are normally all evil or something.

I like this Superboy way better than that 90's loser (who was a stab at Marvel's dress code back then - jacket/coat over jumpsuits).

I like Second Costume Superboy. Didn't hate him before that, but his look was definitely dated to the 90s in his original costume.

Think Teen Titans Starfire(from the cartoon) only 1000 times worse. She defeated her evil future self by thinking of puppies and other cute things.

Common sense would still dictate that in a team of teenage counterparts to the Justice League - that cannot be Martian Manhunter. Layman or not.

I would not put that concept out of the question when it comes to a non-canon cartoon show.
