Away to Brighton.

The Gas are gonna win the cup. :D

Doink 08-25-2004 10:57 AM

i had to look twice when i saw the leeds goal, ricketts wins a header, the header was on target, hit the bar for someone to follow up and score.

what ricketts playing :?: ricketts jumping for and winning a header :wtf: there must be something in the water in leeds.

did anyone see the darlington goals yesterday? how unlucky was there keeper sam russell ? he makes a good penalty save and then the ref makes barnsley retake it for no apparent reason !

was i right in hearing that one of the players playing against liverpool yesterday was booked twice but not sent off (saw it on itv) what the hell is going on with refs at the moment?

<font face=verdana size=3 color="#ff6600">Did anyone see on Sky Sports News, what happened at the Plymouth vs Yeovil match?

Plymouth had a player injured and the ball was put out. Yeovil went to return the ball to Plymouth and hoofed the ball up the pitch to the Plymouth keeper but the keeper wasnt in his goal and the ball went in and a goal was given. Then they kicked off again and Stevie Crawford was allowed to walk the ball up the field, through the defence and into the empty net to make it 1-1 again.

Plymouth lost 3-2 in the end :$</font>

Man United have bid £20 million for Wayne Rooney

Dazz 08-25-2004 03:39 PM

Apparently you bid £25million in the summer. :?:

Mr. Monday Morning 08-25-2004 04:48 PM

Hairy Keys said before Newcastle kicked off that Man U have bid, then Newcastle have upped theirs to £23.5m

deathtrap 08-25-2004 04:54 PM

Something seriously wrong with Newcastle.

Awful bar Bellamy and Butt.

Fuck Rooney, Kluivert didn't even get off the bench why don't we just get 11 strikers on there.

Plus Bellamy saying that he would leave when he was the best player by a mile.

Milner looks like a turd and seriously Kieron Dyer *shakes head* was he even playing?! no wonder no one wants him.

packt up 08-25-2004 06:14 PM

Oh yeah and why the fuck would Rooney move to us when Man U are interested.

Unless he wants to be colder.

Get some defenders already.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-25-2004 06:15 PM

Made £115 tonight thanks to Reading and Man U not bothering to score until the 2nd half

John O'Shea was rumoured this morning. He played his best game in ages today though for Man U.

packt up 08-25-2004 06:24 PM

Yeah O'shea would be good.

Dunno why you would let him go to be honest.

Probably need two centre backs in all honesty too.

packt up 08-25-2004 06:25 PM

WTF Bobby talking so much bullshit.

"fighting till the end" we played like fucking shit and created nothing after they equalised.

"rub of the green" what a load of shit.

<font face=verdana size=3 color="#ff6600">Just had the Carling Cup 2nd Round draw.

Portsmouth got Tranmere away, Wolves are away to Burnley, Bristol City at home to Everton, Bristol Rovers away to Naaaarch, Leicester at home to Mansfield or Preston.

The rest of you all have clubs in Europe so you dont care yet

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...up/3599354.stm

Theres the full draw if you want to check anyone else.

Oh and Arsenal beat the record.</font>

Rob 08-25-2004 07:15 PM

QPR away to Villa. Bastards

packt up 08-25-2004 07:43 PM

Cruiserweight 3:16 08-25-2004 07:48 PM

Leeds are playing Swindon at home for second year running in the second round... to think Leeds only won by penalties in that game last year. And they only got to penalties because Paul Robinson scored a 90th minute goal!

im loving the way bill kenwright at everton is trying to say it's up to david moyles if rooney leaves.

what a load of bollocks, if they accept a bid moyles wont have a say in it. i just hope the everton fans dont believe this crack of shit and turn on moyles if rooney does go!

El Capitano Gatisto 08-26-2004 09:13 AM

I don't think Everton fans are stupid enough to believe that it's down to either Moyes or the board.

It's down to Wayne Rooney, in the end. He should do the decent thing and either request a transfer and forfeit his loyalty bonus, or come out and pledge his loyalty.

He's had all summer to do it. Now he's left Everton in a position where they'll have no time to re-invest his transfer fee.

Doink 08-26-2004 11:05 AM

i just didnt like the way kenwright was saying it was up to moyles, it was almost as tho he's trying to shift the blame away from himself

Moyes has said over and over that not only doesn't he want to see Rooney, he'd rather sell players to raise money if it meant keeping him. So you know if Rooney leaves, it wasn't due to Moyes.

Champions League group drawing

Group A
Olympiakos
Liverpool
AS Monaco
Deportivo La Coruna

Group B
Real Madrid
AS Roma
Bayer Leverkusen
Dinamo Kiev

Group C
Bayern Munich
Juventus
Ajax
Maccabi Tel Aviv

Group D
Manchester United
Lyon
Sparta Prague
Fenerbahce

Group E
Arsenal
Panathinaikos
PSV Eindhoven
Rosenborg

Group F
Barcelona
AC Milan
Celtic
Shakhtar Donetsk

Group G
Valencia
Inter Milan
Anderlecht
Werder Bremen

Group H
FC Porto
Chelsea
Paris St Germain
CSKA Moscow

Pretty good draw for Liverpool, Monaco won't be the same without Morientes (though still a good team) and Deportivo had to struggle against Shelbourne to get through. If they play to their potential they should go through.

Real vs Roma, Walter Samuel back against his former club

Bayern, Juve and Ajax in the same group  At least one big team will be out by the end of the group stages.

Pretty straightforward group for Man United and Arsenal, can't see too many problems there.

Tough break for Celtic, though they did beat Barcelona at the Nou Camp last year, and Milan aren't invincible either. Larsson playing against his old club

Valencia and Inter should get out of G pretty easily

Mourinho going back against Porto :D

Rob 08-26-2004 04:07 PM

Abramovic owns Chelsea and CSKA Moscow and they are in the same group.

Dazz 08-26-2004 04:18 PM

Porto are now shit, they are not going past the group stage, and thats a garundamntee.

I swear their must be some unknown law from UEFA that either Panathonikos or Olympiakos must play an English team in the group stages, its always the case. (Unless I have a bad memory)

El Capitano Gatisto 08-26-2004 04:21 PM

Balls. Porto are still a quality outfit. Made a couple of great signings this summer. Carvalho is a big loss, but the guts of that team still remains, plus they now have Diego.
