Hankock. i give it 8 out of ten
|
Hulk Vs 3.5/5
|
Friday the 13th relaunch: 3/10

Not a particularly big fan of Colin Farrel but he was great in this. |

Charlie Wilson's War
8.5/10 |
Who Framed Roger Rabbit - 7/10
The Machinist - 7.8/10 |
Watchmen 9/10 - There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't 10 out of 10.
|
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original one) a huge 10 out of 10. great flick
|
Watchmen 4/5
|
Lower Learning - 3/10
|
My Best Friend's Girl 4/10 — Some funny one liners but Dane Cook is not that funny of a comedian in my opinion.
Zack & Miri Make A Porno 7/10 — Found this to be decently amusing. Appaloosa 7/10 — Ed Harris and Viggo Mortenson (sp?) as two law men in a town in New Mexico. Entertaining enough, there are better westerns but this had a nice ending. |
What is (sp?) stand for?
Mr. Beans Holiday - 4/10. Actually wasnt bad. Pretty good for a film that didn't use alot of dialogue in the English language. One part I thought was ROFL was with the bike with a motor. :D |
sp = spelling
|
Zack & Miri- 8/10
aand I tend to not like comedies. |
The Graduate - 8/10
|
Role Models - 7/10
|
Bridge on the River Kwai - 9.5/10
I thought it was awesome. I probably should give it a 10, especially considering everything has held up over the last 50 years (pretty easy because of the setting and there really aren't any special effects to become dated). I think I could have used about ten minutes trimmed. |
Titan A.E. 5/10 — Meh, watched this because nothing else on demand caught my eye. I finished it, which I guess says something.
|
The Strangers - 8/10
What a mind fuck. |
Watchmen 8/10.
Nothing really wrong with it except that its kind of confusing. And also for the fact that i found Dr. Manhatten really annoying. Just because hes a big blue guy and that he was naked throughout. |
The Last Boy Scout - 6.5/10
It's a "good" bad buddy detective movie. 6.5 is probably a little on the generous side if you are a "more serious" type of film person (which I am not). It isn't a bad movie, it just isn't a great movie, but you expect that when you see "Starring Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans." Made me laugh at a lot of the one liners. |
Full Metal Jacket - 8.4/10
What a great fucking movie, I should have watched it sooner. Opening scene was amazingly hilarious. Midnight Express - 7.3/10 |
Transporter 3: 9/10 awesome
|
The Lake House - 1/10 Every bit the piece of crap it was made out to be.
|
Time travel mailboxes
|
The Replacements - 7/10
|
Atonement 8/10
Loved this. |

2001: A Space Odyssey - 8.5/10
Stanley Kubrick, you are indeed the fucking man. Last two films I've seen have been Kubricks, and they were both amazing. |
Amazing enough for a full 8.2 huh
|
Superbad - 6.5 - It was alright. Sometimes it felt funny and even heartfelt, sometimes it felt like a bad SNL skit. Sometimes there was just too much Jonah Hill.
Knocked Up - 7 - See comments about Superbad, but replace Jonah Hill with Seth Rogen. |

A Few Good Men - 7.9/10
God I love Nicholson, one of my all time favourites. Plus I love how he talks. |
Coraline - 9/10
am I gay for liking that? |
The Departed 9/10
Awesome, prefer the ending in the original though |
Bullitt - 4.5/5
I thought there should have been more at the end. |
The Children of Huang Shi - 4.9/5
|
Rent - 5/10
|
The Last House On The Left(remake) - uh 7/10 I guess
|
Taken- 7.5/10
|
JCVD - 4/5
Sweet. |
Midnight Cowboy - 7.9/10
Apocalypses Now - 8/10 |
No Country For Old Men - Uhh....7/10? I don't get the last 20 min.

The whole movie was great. Just a great cat-and-mouse type manhunt until one scene where....uh....you don't know wtf happens and then....uh....thats it. It just leaves me a big blank.
I know you were talking to him though  |
It's open to whomever would like to comment on it, positive or negative. The ending has garnered mixed reactions, so sure. Not gonna make a new thread though, just gonna bogart this one.
|
I give No Country a 10/10

I enjoyed the movie, the end was just a tad disappointing.
|
In fairness to the movie, it is based on a book. It is my understanding that the movie is pretty faithful to the book, so any complaint with how anticlimactic the ending is may be the fault of the book.
I don't really mind the end. When you say the last 20 minutes, are you talking about every single part of it, or what? There was only one part that I didn't really get at first, which was SPOILER: show |
The Sting - 8.4/10
I loved this movie, has been meaning to watch it a while now, glad I did. |
Nah No Country is overrated.

But anyway.... American Buffalo 2/10. Great acting and dialogue, but it was just flat out boring. Got to admit that. |
Madagascar 2: 8.5/10
|
I love you, man: 7/10
|
In Bruges 8/10
|
The Last House on the Left (2009 Remake) 2/5

Big Stan 7/10
|
Hitch 5/10.
Sin City 8.5/10 |

Too high or too low for Sin City?
|
Too high, IMO
|
Instant Classic would have rated it 8.2.
|
LOL, More like a 7.
And are you questioning my rating system? |
decimals are weak on a 1-10 system. you can't possibly work that out. even .5's are weak on 1-10. .5's on 1-5 are ok though.
|
I mean, what the diff between 8.4 and 8.5?
|
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas - 7/10
REAL FUCKED UP |
Marley and Me - 5/10
REAL FUCKED UP |
I Love You, Man
7/10 Pretty funny movie. I cracked up through the whole thing. Debated on giving it an 8, but it wasn't the best comedy I've ever seen, and comedies tend to rank lower than other movies I see anyways so a 7 is still high on that scale. |
Cool Hand Luke - 8/10. I love Paul Newman.
|
cool hand luke is an easy 10/10
|
Nah, 9.8 tops.

I would give his ranch dressing a 10/10 as well.
|
Role Models 8/10
Pretty rofl. I like Paul Rudd, and Elizabeth Banks is nice to look at too. |
Quantum of Solace - 7/10 - I liked it better than Casino, and I think between the two films Craig is a better Bond than Brosnan. It's unfair to say that though, because he's had two great movies to make and Brosnan just had Goldeneye and then a string of ridiculous ones. One question I will ask: is Bond ever going to get some gadgets, or are we going to have to watch a shaky "realistic" foot chase in ever film?
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - 5/10 - SPOILER: show |
Slumdog Millionaire 9/10
Fuckin A |

The Rocker 7/10
Rainn Wilson from The Office plays the main character. I like his brand of comedy and mannerisms, which made the movie for me. Nothing groundbreaking but definitely entertaining. Worth a rental at least. |
Death Sentence - 6/10.
I like how Kevin Bacon was just a regular guy out for revenge and not like a vietnam vet (Rambo) or a guy with-special-skills-that-make-cause-people-to-have-nightmares (Liam Neeson). He had no special training and he did what he did. 40 Year Old Virgin - 4/10. |
Pineapple Express - 7
Taken - 6.5 |
Revolutionary Road - 8/10
REAL FUCKED UP |
Lakeview Terrace 6/10 — The one where Samuel L. Jackson plays the insane cop neighbor.
Just Add Water 6/10 — Mildly amusing. Righteous Kill 7/10 — I was dosing in and out watching this but it seemed alright. |
Dragonball Evolution - 6/10
If the whole movie was like the 3rd act it would have been epic. |
I Love You Man 7.5/10
Monsters v Aliens 7/10 |
Sleuth (Original) - 8.5./10
12 Angry Men - 9/10 |
The Hustler - 8/10
