Bought Destroy All Humans for the 360 because it was on sale, I liked the original and I'm an idiot. Terrible modeling, terrible graphics, terrible animation, dialogue audio randomly decides when it will and will not work and destroyed buildings collapse in a preset animation yet the air vents on the roof stay floating in the air for 5 seconds before just vanishing.

Kalyx triaD 07-24-2014 04:45 PM

Stop buying shit because it's on sale.

Or at least look up a Let's Play or something.

Weekend News Edition

Namcon had several Tekken related news during Comic Con.

The first involves Tekken 7 with this game being the final in the Mishima saga. The trailer released was revealed to be an extended version of the one shown during EVO 2014.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Orb2Kd8IN8A?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The other involves Tekken X Street Fighter with the good news being the game is still in development and the bad news being its not coming out any time soon. According to Tekken's producer, the main reason for its delay is due to other games having higher development priority and Namco has yet to decide on an official schedule for its development and release.

Like where the story is going this time. Last one was terrible.

Wow, that tear that Heihachi shed was kind of a haunting moment.

Kalyx triaD 07-27-2014 02:19 AM

Interesting gameplay hints, but we'll see if it's enough to get us playing again. The wake-up system consideration is a good start.

Sepholio 07-27-2014 02:28 AM

Gamestop is running a promo starting today for the The Last of Us: Remastered. If you trade in the ps3 original version you get 50% off the ps4 version, knocking it down to $25.

Gonna do this now. Never got the DLC for the PS3 version because I moved on to the PS4 for the most part by the time it came out. Considering that comes with the PS4 version, this is now a good deal for me.

Definitely an action game on the casual end, but perfect for the the show. And it still has a hard mode that should be closer to how Platinum Games challenges players. A budget title on a budget price. Wish it had a Bloody Palace or multiplayer mode.

Very happy about the Mass Effect news. Always lamented the lack of exploration in Mass Effect after the first one.

Also, the Mako never controlled anywhere near as badly as some people made it out to be. In fact, I found it fun to use most of the time.

I completely agree. I really missed the exploration aspect, thought it added an awesome layer of intrigue to the game. Also, I always felt that the Mako controlled fine. It's a space exploration vehicle of a tank style; it's not a freaking sports car.

Sepholio 07-29-2014 06:07 PM

If only Blizzard would allow PC saves to be ported to console. I have quite a few friends who play this on console instead but I'm not giving up 2 years of grinding and starting over. Stupid mistake on their part really.

I'm wondering how much $ MS ponied up for that EA exclusivity deal. I might give it a try for a month or 2 though, just to test the quality.

DaveBrawl 07-30-2014 08:33 AM

I hope EA is using a similar system for Dragon Age, from what I understand as of now they are using a system that lets you pick your choices for any decisions you made in past games. I have no idea what decisions I made in DA2 at this point for many of the choices and I never even met Fenris, which really sucked for the battle with the Arishok.

drave 07-30-2014 08:44 AM

I will start anew in Inquisition or whatever.

Played the DAII demo and decided not to pick up the game. Watched the story via youtube and didn't feel as if I missed much.

DaveBrawl 07-30-2014 09:18 AM

Yeah the demo is what kept me from playing it for so long. I bought it on the cheap because I kept hearing how good it was, and kept it on my shelf for a long time because the demo, which is the opening tutorial, was pretty boring. After the first hour or so worth of game time, when you finally make it into town, it starts to pick up and ends up pretty compelling, but that first section is just no bueno.

The save overs from DA to DA2 were glitched anyway. I had dead people popping up in cameos during my DA2 playthrough.

DaveBrawl 07-30-2014 11:39 AM

Well that makes me feel better about the new system, also it's not going to be Hawke again anyway so it's not like it's Mass Effect with the same character and look carrying over.

DaveBrawl 07-30-2014 11:42 AM

Although I did like how my ME Shepard ended up looking like a young Chuck Norris in ME3 with the graphics updating each game. Wasn't conceived that way when I made him in ME1.

I checked out PS Now a little while ago. I promptly laughed and exited that part of the store. They will have to change that pricing significantly or just go ahead and write that shit up as a lost cause.
