Mankind just shot a fireball in the Undertakers face. This is retarded.

The overall show is great, but even then some of the stuff was plain stupid. JUST LIKE TODAY, damn rose-tinted specs.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-13-2011 04:58 AM

Rocky, the champ came out out before Bret. What bullshit.

XL 10-13-2011 05:58 AM

I'm thinking that was earlier this year. I remember there being a stink about a promoter using Hall when he was completely out of it and still airing the segment on iPPV (despite it being a pre-taped show).

Rammsteinmad 10-13-2011 04:37 PM

Wasn't the whole Scorpion King thing meant to be set in Egypt/ian times? Kinda looks like they've gone away from that...

Not that I give a fuck anyway. This francise has meant shit since 2001 anyway.

WWERawGM John Laurinaitis
Happy Birthday to @WWE Hall of Famer, the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes. Never has someone done so much with so little.

Aguakate 10-13-2011 05:00 PM

The front page had this bit of news:

Regarding the October 10th RAW, the only thing that aired that was in the original script was Vince’s return and John Laurinaitis replacing Triple H. As noted before, the Jim Ross firing segment was not in the script at all. The previous week’s walkout angle bit with JR was suggested by producer Arn Anderson the day of the show and Vince loved it. Anderson brought up the fact that Triple H gave Ross his job back, which is why Ross was the last to leave in the walkout.

I don't get it. Triple H brings back JR...JR walks out on Triple H last week...this week, John Laurinaitis relieved Triple H of his duties, and he fires JR for not being loyal to Triple H?

...'the fuck?

Xero 10-13-2011 05:42 PM

"Fuck, thought we had more time before the annual rib JR show. All well, fuck it. We'll have him fired and not tell him."

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 12:19 PM

Did they only use Beautiful People for the Raw after WM13?

XL 10-14-2011 12:21 PM

It was way after WM13.

XL 10-14-2011 12:24 PM

Actually, I stand corrected. It was used in 97. I was thinking of when it was the SmackDown theme.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-14-2011 12:27 PM

Yeah, it kinda shocked me. I've just started watching 97 from WM13 and it was on the Raw the day after WM13, but now it's the more traditional Raw theme from the Attitude era that I forget the name of.

XL 10-14-2011 12:33 PM

Where are you watching these, Hasney? (Didn't I already ask that!?)

Worst PPV theme song ever.

Road Dogg just smashed a boombox on Mosh's head causing a DQ. JR clarifies to the viewers at home that this was not a JVC Kaboombox.

XL 10-14-2011 01:34 PM

I'm watching WCW PPvs from 98 - 2000. Strikes me how far behind they were with music/video production.

Intro videos/music were so generic and their PPV intro videos were lame.

Also, it's really difficult to keep up with what's happening without seeing the Nitros inbetween. Flair went from good guy President that returned to save WCW from nWo to being a heel fueding with Piper and bribing referees. Benoit went from Tagging with Malenko as part of the Horsemen to teaming with Saturn. DDP went from being a babyface World Champ to a member of the New Jersey Triad with seemingly no middleground.

I'm a little confused.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-14-2011 01:36 PM

Yup, I did Nitro 99 earlier this year and the first video was a recap of the night before with nash and Goldberg and it was a joke.

However, watch Souled Out '97 and the opening video to that. It was brilliant... Then they went back to their same old shit. The nWo promos were still awesome though.

Pretty sure someone a few pages back said these comics weren't funny (someone other than me) and someone else replied about how they're not always meant to be funny. Or something along those lines.

From the front page:

Quote:

“I’ve experienced WWE twice now, and I know that I do not enjoy that place,” she says. “The second time I really had optimistic hopes and dreams, but I know I would never go back there.”

Kim informed WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis that she was quitting the company ten minutes before the infamous battle royal in which she eliminated herself from the match.

“It was a very controversial thing,” she said. “A lot of people said that they lost respect for me because I was unprofessional. But unless anyone walks in your shoes they do not what you feel.

“I can admit that maybe it was a childish thing to do. But I would not take it back. I was disrespected many times by the company, and when you get disrespected that many times there is only so much you can take.

“I’m not one to just lay there and take it – at least not now – and they didn’t even notice.

“I was fed up that day.”

Now that she is free, many people believe Kim will return TNA Wrestling, where she achieved her greatest success. She feels that it is likely, but she is in no rush.
“Right now I’m on a little hiatus,” Kim said, “I told myself I’d take a little break. They didn’t let me quit so I was forced to take a break!

“I’m not retiring from wrestling, I can say that. I always said – I said it in my last interview with TNA on a Knockout’s DVD – that I always felt like I would return there one day. I’d love to finish up my career there.”
Gail Kim is a moron. Not by quitting WWE, not any of that. Just through this...

It was a very controversial thing,” she said. “A lot of people said that they lost respect for me because I was unprofessional. But unless anyone walks in your shoes they do not what you feel.

I can admit that maybe it was a childish thing to do.

Sky Sports did and interview with Dolph Ziggler on Wednesday if anyone is interested in reading it.

Quote:

skysports.com: Hi Dolph, You and the rest of the WWE roster are touring the United Kingdom next month. What do you love to do when you are over here?

DOLPH ZIGGLER: I love coming over and seeing the fans because we only get to do it once or twice a year. It's also cool checking out a pub, or a soccer game and seeing the sights and sounds that we don't get in the States. Plus, I like English food, especially your fried breakfasts. I wish American breakfasts incorporated beans.

skysports.com: Because of the way you look and your entrance music, you often get compared to WWE Hall of Famer, Mr Perfect. Do enjoy that?

DZ: I always appreciate being compared to a WWE Hall of Famer and someone I looked up to as a child; it's a great compliment. But, at the same time, it is a little frustrating when you're trying to forge your own path and you're constantly told: "You remind me of this guy".

skysports.com: Apart from Mr Perfect, which other wrestlers influenced you as a child?

DZ: I loved Ric Flair. I loved Shawn Michaels. They were both ring generals and stole the show every night. Shawn was a big influence on me when I got to the WWE, too. Before he left, he helped me out mentally and with some different things in the ring. He always went out to steal the show and make his mark, and he told me I had to do the same every single night. But he also said to make sure I did things my own way and to stand out from the pack.

skysports.com: X-Men star Hugh Jackman punched you on Raw recently. What was he like to work with and would you like to face him in a legitimate match?

DZ: He was great all day, shaking everyone's hands saying hello. But then on Raw he decided to punch me and my jaw still hurts. It makes me want to get him in the ring again and show him how good I am at what I do. It's easy to punch someone from outside the ring, it's a lot more difficult to do it in a match environment - especially against someone as good as me.

skysports.com: You had a match with Daniel Bryan at Bragging Rights in late 2010 that was widely regarded as a Match of the Year contender. Do you know how good a bout is while you're in the midst of it?

DZ: You know you're part of something special when you hear the crowd reacting. We weren't really involved in a big feud so for the audience to be that involved in our match, and feeling exactly what we were doing, was special. It was amazing to be part of.

skysports.com: Which WWE Superstars' matches do you like to watch when you're not competing?

DZ: John Cena is usually in the main event and his matches are always great to watch because the crowd gets so into it. I also make sure I watch a lot of Zack Ryder matches; he's a good kid and is really coming into his own.

skysports.com: You have appeared on Ryder's YouTube show, Z! True Long Island Story. Do you enjoy doing things like that? Do you have any plans to act?

DZ: I always love entertaining, whether that's through matches or talking. On Ryder's show, I get 35-40 seconds to talk about whatever I want and it's really fun. As for the acting, if I could make a film that would help take WWE to a wider audience, it's something I'd do in a heartbeat.

skysports.com: Your brother, Ryan, is in WWE's developmental system. How long do you think it will be before we see him on Raw or SmackDown?

DZ: You never know. We work for a company that is always unpredictable. It could be weeks, months or years. I keep getting told he's working really hard and I've told him to make sure he works harder than everybody else. Hopefully he'll make it. He's a similar style wrestler to me but obviously has a couple of years less experience and is a bit skinnier.

skysports.com: And finally, the NFL recently kicked off its new season. Which team do you follow?

DZ: I always root for the Cleveland Browns. They are always the underdogs fighting an uphill battle. They almost get to the play-offs but never quite make it. Hopefully this will be the year. My favourite Browns player of all time is quarterback Bernie Kosar, but right now we don't really have many stars; we're an up-and coming team.
