ROXER'S A NINJA

There was a family thing going on and I was in no position to hog the 'Box for online sessions. Sunday does look good, though.

The last session between me and RoXy saw him gaining up, we left off with 50/50 win ratios. Very different from a week ago when locked him down, that or I was slipping more than I should have.

My quest to make Vega dangerous is getting along but I still have hiccups I need to iron out. Cammy's Cammy as usual. Sakura is moving up my ranks, and I'm still shamed for it.

Yeah, I really havn't touched cammy, guile, fei long, or gen, despite wanting to get good with them. Focus lately has been on Abel as usual, but also the previously mentioned charge characters, rose, gouken, and ken. Was learning C. Viper for a while, but I havn't touched her in months, and I prolly suck with her now.

also, kalyx wtf we have to play. Like 3 times now I have sent an invite just as you log off.

Playing this makes me want to get all those street fighter figures they were selling a few years ago, and put them on top of the entertainment center in classic victory pose fashion, for I am a huge nerd at heart. Do they still make those, and did they make everyone yet?

My bad, man. I wasn't the only one playing. Basically been alternating between local 2 player and passing the controller around unlocking people unlocking people. We got Gen, Cammy, Dan, Sakura and Rose thus far.

Played with RoXer some more and had a chance to play some pretty terrible Cammy and Guile. We went 50/50 before there was an internet outage in my area. I did play a few games while on the phone, though.

Had a nice little sesh with Funky tonight. We're pretty well matched, but he pulled it out 7 fights to 6. Just couldn't defend his Blanka.

Yeah, that was mad even. Just about shat myself when I picked Balrog and then you choose a shadowed character. We hit the vs screen and it's Gouken. 100% rape from then on. Just got Akuma, so I'll probably get Gouken right away and get to learning his moves. El Fuerte to while I'm at it. Had no idea what you were doing that whole match.

I have to add: in the next update/patch, Capcom has announced that they will start listing disconnect percentages. That's a good thing. Though I kinda wish that they would deduct BP for disconnects.

Finaly played both Kalyx and Fignuts... too bad I was having such a shit day. Throws, focus attacks and special moves were not happening for me at all today.

Even if I had my act together, Kalyx would have raped me over all. His Cammy is deadly and he's quite likely the best SF player I've seen in the last 5 years.

Figburt has some skills too, but we must clash again before I accept him as the victor of Jeanpunchfest 09. Fucking 2-11. :mad:

I'm assuming that you can upload your replays to the web. That way, we can all see eachother's matches. If that option isn't on there, I might as well set it up next week.

Keep in mind I haven't seen all that many SF players in the last 5 years. Most of the people I've played in that time are friends who are scrubs. When was the last time you hit up an arcade?

Kalyx knows his shit and is a great technical player. he knows how to take advantage of Cammy's (apparently non-existent) recovery frames on some of her moves that would make you think twice about revesals. The best thing to do is to be patient against him and to pick your shots wisely, for he wont hesistate to capitalize on your mistakes. Its easy to frustrate him ONCE he's out of his element tho. However it wont take long for him to get back on his feet so mix it up

It's funny you mention her 'apparently non-existent' recovery frames cause you are making a shot against SRK or some community like that. They make tier-lists that are mostly accurate, but after such gems as "Ultras are gay" and "SC4's Taki's low tier", you can't take them that seriously.

I think, with all of my heart, that Cammy is the best SF character ever. Conversely, I'm thinking of dropping Ken to 'light-play' status because a) he's so boring and routine (except for his kickass Ultra) and b) people who play him online make me like him less. I don't agree that his dragonpunch, which is multihit on Fierce, should beat everything. Cammy's Cannon Spike beats a lot of shit too, but at one hit I think it's pretty fair for a girl with no fireballs. I love Cammy.

Vega's getting more play time from me as well.

Cammy's definetly on my" If You Spot Her on the Street, Murder her ass" list. She's got so many options than most other character and her EX hooligan tends to freeze me up sometimes. I gotta be always alert when im up against her. However i hardly even see cammy online and if i do its some idiot who doesnt know what hes doing.

Fuck SRK. they're a bunch of fuckin crybabies and assholes who're full of themselve( most of them if not all) They take that shit way too seriously. Remember Mr.Fun? yeah he was cool what the hell happened to him?

So your dropping Ken huh, You Should Give him more credit. I've yet to see him used effectively. Vega's also on my Special list, He's a big problem for my Ryu.

God I'm really gonna have to get back into ths seriously to have any chance against your Vega, though. Worse than your Cammy.

I don't think Vega's worse than Cammy. I know he can be annoying and agile, but Cammy's much more efficient. I work less with Vega. I guess it's the feeling RoXy has when he picks Sagat.

BTW, crouch Jabs beat Canon Drill for some crazy reason. A buddy of mine started doing it after I pissed him off with my toe games (crouch weak kicks) and it actually worked for him.
