Seth82 02-10-2014 10:33 AM

David Von Erich truly was the best of the brothers in the ring imo.

David was also great as a heel in Florida. I would've liked to have seen how he would have fared as a heel and maybe become the 4th Freebird? Him turning on his brothers in Dallas would've been huge

It's crazy how insanely over those boys were in Texas at the time. I don't think anyone else has seen the kind of popularity they had. Maybe Hogan in the 80s and JYD in Mid South.

WCCW truly was just amazing at its height from 1982-1985. their tv product was truly awesome and innovative for its time. Compare what Vince's tv product looked like in '82-'83 and then look at WCCW's TV.

WCCW was running stadium shows at Texas Stadium/Cotton Bowl with big supercards long before Wrestlemania did it.

WCCW was also using musical entrances for its wrestlers as far back as late 1981.

A fan who attended CrayJay's New Orleans Comic Con Q&A this weekend noted that she was asked about her "pipebomb" promo from last year and said there was supposed to be a follow-up to it.

AJ said that while her character had been acting like a "douche" she still hoped that the other Divas would realize that she was trying to make things happen for their division and get them more TV time.

AJ revealed that some of the Divas took the promo personal. She said it was unfortunate that the follow-up to her "pipebomb" got dropped due to personal feelings that other Divas had.

I'm sick of hearing that The Miz is undefeated at Wrestlemania. He and Morrison lost the tag titles to The Colons at Wrestlemania 25.

Anybody Thrilla 02-11-2014 06:44 PM

I also didn't like when Edge was pretending to be undefeated at Wrestlemania before his Undertaker match. He got put through a ladder in Money in the Bank that one year and carted off.

Technically, it was a pre-show match. By that logic, Lance Storm and Chief Morley defeated Kane and RVD at Wrestlemania 19.

Anybody Thrilla 02-11-2014 07:54 PM

They lost the fucking tag titles. It's not like it didn't happen. It was promoted as a Wrestlemania match. It happened AT Wrestlemania.

Did The New Age Outlaws win the tag titles at the Royal Rumble or not?

They won them on the pre-show / kickoff.

Nope. If you watch the Royal Rumble, there is no New Age Outlaws vs Rhodes Brothers match.

Remember when Sunday Night Heat used to be live before PPVs? Did you count those matches as part of the PPV? It's the same thing.

they'd ignore it for the unlikely event there's ever anything based around Miz being undefeated at Mania but history is conveniently ignored for the sake of the present all the time i.e Andre having "never been beaten or slammed", Taker/HHH at WM 17, Jericho unifying the titles etc, doesn't mean those things didn't happen

A dark match that had the tag titles change hands. A change that was recognized on air. I'm still not buying it.

Especially considering that the program leading up to Wrestlemania made it one of the matches I was MOST looking forward to. I'm still pissed about that.

The Miz is not undefeated at Wrestlemania. I don't know why you guys want him to be so badly, but he's not.

lol @ "I don't know why you guys want him to be so badly..."

This isn't just me and others desperately trying to find a way to keep Miz undefeated at WrestleMania. It's just a fact. It was a DARK MATCH. In other words it was not part of the official show. Like Yoshi Tatsu's battle royal win that Gertner mentioned. Or the Sunday Night Heat matches before PPVs that I mentioned earlier. And again, at least those ones were televised. Do you count the dark matches on Raw as the ACTUAL main events of the show?

P.S. STD means business when it comes to this subject. Choose your answer to that question wisely.

I saw most of his career retrospective thing (can't remember what the series is called.) Seems like an awesome guy but I just couldn't get into him talking about shit. I guess I just prefer listening to guys who talk shit and are more "dramatic" in their shoots.

Eh. I'd say it's probably just a coincidence. Miz's comments the past couple weeks aren't THAT Punk-like. They're in line with a typical "I'm being forgotten about" story that's been done countless times.

I would give Miz a lounge singer gimmick and team him up with Fandango

Shisen Kopf 02-13-2014 12:31 AM

Kinda like Richard Cheese but he could sing aboot the rasslers.

I for one think long and hard before making a post due to the wrath of SlickyTrickyDamon

WWE.com has now changed Big E Langston's name to merely "Big E".

I don't like these name changes.... people that have first and last names just sound better. (Even if their "first name" is "Big E")

It works sometimes. But it usually happens naturally. Like with Batista. Way better than "Dave Batista" but the change happened subtly when people slowly started referring to him by just his last name like a high school gym teacher would do.

Goldberg was another one that ended up being much better. It seems to be fitting for monster characters. I guess it adds to their aura or something. (Heidenreich, Snitsky, Vader...)
