I've seen that quote tons of times but never with a name. Thank you.

Still don't know what the fuck happened to this guy, that barely anyone knows who he was. Weird.
|
Looks like he left Capcom with a couple others to form "Takeru" which folded in the 90's.
http://thegaminghistorian.com/the-ga...little-samson/ Helped develop one of the most rare NES carts to date. If he wasn't absorbed into Mitchell Corporation as the site suggests, he most likely faded into nothing after being a "one hit wonder" with Mega Man |
Being that Inafune crafted the games I'd still consider him father of the series. Kamiya crafted Bayonetta but she herself was designed by another female artist.
|
Thing is, he didn't though. Kitamura crafted the gameplay, the pick your stage gimmick and everything else that made Megaman what he is today. Inafune was in the art department and did sprite work as well. Wasn't until 3 that he took over as the project leader and implemented his own major gameplay ideas. By then the groundwork was firmly established.
Not trying to take away from Inafune btw. He was involved in the series for a lot longer, and I'm fine with him getting the lion's share of credit for the series success. I just think this other guy deserves some more credit, considering he typically gets none at all. |
Also gonna take this oppurtunity to say if you have any love for the Megaman series, go buy MM25: Megaman & Megaman X complete works. It is the greatest love letter to Megaman fans ever put in print, and it's 400 pages of art work and developer comments about the titular series. It's where I found out about Inafune not actually being the creator.

I don't want multiplayer to come first, I just want it.

Today's News:
1) Nintendo announces for a 2nd year in a row they will not be holding a traditional press conference during E3 and instead will hold a special "Nintendo Digital Event" on June 10th. Other announcements included the return of playable E3 demos at Best Buy, a special Super Smash Bros. Invitational to be held at Nokia's L.A. Live Theatre, and Nintendo Treehouse team to stream all the E3 games and Smash Bros tournament live. http://www.screwattack.com/video/Reg...ences-12835271 http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/a...onference.aspx 2) Update to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Xbox One delay news as it appears only the physical version of the game was delayed while the digital version is currently available on the Xbox Marketplace. http://www.screwattack.com/news/xbox...g-spider-man-2 3) According to recent survey results from the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) around 59% of all Americans currently play video games with consoles as the main platform (68%). The basis appears to revolve around them believing they deserve to be compensated better for all the "free press" they have provided for developers and the belief they are more important for public appeal than the actual gaming press. |
Amazing Spidey 2 is out on demand for $50.
|
Whats with the buzz about Spidey 2? Is there real physics for the webslinging or it it just him slinging from the clouds like in 1. I liked the first one but it was nothing special.
|
The video answers just that. Check it out, looks good.
|
Read something about them not getting the actor's licenses so the characters don't look right?
