I always gave Vince a benefit of the doubt since not all online wrestling sources are accurate. But after watching his podcast with Austin, a few of his "McMahon-isms" were confirmed.

I wonder if when Sami Zayn comes back they bring him up to the main roster right away, or put him back on NXT for a bit....

If he is "ready" for Royal Rumble.... just imagine Kevin Owens clearing house, then he is all alone in the ring.... then Sami Zayn's music hits..... would be a hot return.....

GD 11-11-2015 10:32 PM

Holy shit! That Reddit thread is full of fucked up Vince content

Quote:

LAYBOY: Still, you beat the court-martial and even graduated. By then you had stolen cars and run moonshine. You'd had a drink. You'd had your first joint. You'd lost your virginity.

MCMAHON: [Pauses] That was at a very young age. I remembered, probably in the first grade, being invited to a matinee film with my stepbrother and his girlfriends, and I remember them playing with me. Playing with my penis, and giggling. I thought that was pretty cool. That was my initiation into sex. At that age you don't necessarily achieve an erection, but it was cool. At around the same time there was a girl my age who was, in essence, my cousin. Later in life she actually wound up marrying that asshole Leo Lupton, my stepfather! Boy, this sounds like Tobacco Road. Anyway, I remember the two of us being so curious about each other's bodies but not knowing what the hell to do. We would go into the woods and get naked together. It felt good. And for some reason I wanted to put crushed leaves into her. Don't know why, but I remember that. I don't remember the first time I had intercourse, believe it or not.

PLAYBOY: Your growing up was pretty accelerated.

MCMAHON: God, yes.

Feel like he's going to be in NXT for a while. At least til he gets the NXT title. I'm sure they'll want that big payoff.

JR once told this on Opie & Anthony:

JR once farted in a car with Gerald Brisco, which made Brisco start gagging and throwing up. Vince heard about that, so backstage at RAW one night, he tried to fart and make Brisco puke. It backfired, and Vince shit in his pants. He then had to go out to the ring and do a promo! JR said that all the production people in his headphones told him about it, and that they were instructed to keep the camera shots ABOVE Vince's waistline for the entire promo!

#1-norm-fan 11-11-2015 11:03 PM

Someone at writing meeting: "Hey. Did you hear JR farted in Gerald Brisco's presence the other night and made him throw up?"

Vince: "... My God... MY GOD, that's fucking comedy, boys! Brilliant! Give that retarded okie a raise and find me Brisco! Also, let's work on making this a storyline! Have Neidhart's girl do it because 'Hart' rhymes with 'fart'! Meeting over!"

Sad thing is this is probably a far more accurate depiction of a creative meeting than any of us would like to believe.

Miss Matt Striker.

He was so incredibly comfortable on the mic. Effortless.

GD 11-12-2015 01:38 AM

Some might argue that he was a mark and kinda annoying at times.

#1-norm-fan 11-12-2015 01:41 AM

He had an issue taking his commentary seriously.

That stuff didn't come across when he was actually involved in storylines though. He was great on the mic.

Never understood why people disliked that. Sure, he used the term "mark out" on PPV, but it's nice to hear an announcer actually sound excited about the product. These days, all the reactions sound robotic and queued in.

#1-norm-fan 11-12-2015 04:28 AM

I can see both sides. I love the fact that he is clearly a fan first and he comes off as "one of us" but I can see how it's really unprofessional and not the kind of "laid back" vibe Vince would want.

#1-norm-fan 11-12-2015 04:31 AM

Also, "I'm marking out, bro!" is kind of an obnoxious sounding phrase.

"On July 28th, the PG era in the WWE began. Brian said that they were told this would take place in a meeting backstage before the Great American Bash. He recalls how Vince was speaking at a podium when Michael Tarver, who had been used sparingly at this point, asked a question to which Vince replied "excellent question Shelton." He then said everyone laughed and Vince could not figure out why. He then recalls at the Bash, JBL and Cena had a brutal Parking Lot Brawl match that was taped the day prior and they showed the finish live and he was watching backstage on the monitor with Mark Henry who said "since when is murder PG." He said that he were all trying to figure out the rules at the time."

Which two may not be announced until the match takes place. Charlotte vs. Paige for the Divas title is still on the show, and The New Day would look to be defending the tag titles against either/and or The Usos or Lucha Dragons most likely. One would also expect Ziggler vs. Breeze added once/if Ziggler is eliminated from the tournament.

As noted, when WWE last offered Brock Lesnar a new contract it included more money and more dates, which is why we have seen Lesnar work more this year than he has in the past.

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE and Lesnar recently re-negotiated Lesnar’s to add even more dates to his schedule and more money.

While no reason was offered as to why the re-negotiation took place, with WWE at a loss for top talent right now as John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan are all off TV, it might be likely that WWE has asked Lesnar to work a bit more to help fill out event cards.

However, Bryan got an Arizona Cardinals doctor who tested him, and his brain tested above average for his age, and that doctor gave him clearance. If that testing has been completed, the results are being kept secret, although they may be back as one source said Vince McMahon is going back-and-forth on the subject. If he can return, and the plan is to make Reigns the babyface star in 2016, it would be a huge mistake to bring him back before the Royal Rumble, unless the plan is to have him win the Rumble and challenge for the title. Anything else and it’ll create the same environment over the past two years where the company has made plans for a top babyface to headline the show, only for the crowd to ruin those plans because the choice wasn’t Bryan.

There is the feeling that if Reigns were to become a hot heel, that when he flips back, there won’t be the crowd resistance to him that there was before WrestleMania, and, at some TV tapings, continues to be. Ambrose could also turn, since it’s unlikely he’ll ever get to be No. 1 face, but he can be positioned as No. 1 heel. Owens vs. Ambrose for the IC title was originally to be a winter program and was set for Survivor Series.

The Reigns turn question comes down to the fact that he’s just starting to get momentum as a face, and he’s the No. 2 merchandise seller in the company right now behind Cena. C.M. Punk noted that his pay went down greatly when he did his heel turn, even as champion with Paul Heyman, because of the huge decline in his T-shirt sales. But if he or Ambrose doesn’t turn, that means, almost by default, Owens would be the top heel and have little backup, since the other top heels would be Del Rio, who has been working to mostly silence, Bray Wyatt, who has already worked a program with Reigns, Big Show, who is burned out, and Tyler Breeze, who is new and small.

According to recent tallies, in terms of merch it goes Cena at #1 with 125 items, Bellas with 108, Ambrose with 68, and Reigns with 64.

The idea that if you booked major arenas with ZZ, Josh and Sara Lee coming off the show and went on tour with them as stars, well, it would be disastrous. A non-WWE group wouldn’t likely get the quality of entrants without WWE television pushing thousands to send in tapes to choose from.

Basically whatever plans the WWE had for the revival backfired big time especially with them just signing almost everyone when USA Network told them to focus just on the winners being successful because of past track record.

The unhappiness surrounds all the Americans being brought in this month, and some are unhappy Wagner Jr. was brought back, although that isn’t the main problem. The ones talking of leaving are those with heat with Konnan. Konnan and Cibernetico have been at odds on-and-off forever and he sees is that Konnan is trying to replace top guys with foreigners an replace the older established stars with younger stars. Konnan has tried to get rid of the older stars except the ones who are legends and can still draw off their name, like La Parka and Cibernetico, to have a younger and better working crew, trying to replicate the early 90s crew they had. Right now, Cibernetico and Averno are at least more than very seriously talking of leaving (and both have taken a booking in Brooklyn on 12/5 for Johnny Rodz on the same show that Caristico is appearing at Club LaBoom in Queens, NY, the same day as Guerra de Titanes was planned), but given it’s Mexico and guys talk of leaving, and agree to jumps, and then end up staying all the time, nothing is yet certain. While not publicly saying anything, those at LLE are saying that Cibernetico will be at Arena Mexico on 11/15 “with friends” and the belief is he’ll be at Arena Mexico and not in Nuevo Laredo. This would be the first time Cibernetico has ever wrestled in Arena Mexico

What should have been a really great year for Mexican promotion AAA is turning out to be one of their worst of all time.

That was big in the 50s and 60s in Mexico, but they don’t have any television in Mexico. While we don’t have this as official, the strong belief is that Flamita, perhaps under the name Fireball, will be on the new season which starts filming on 11/14 and 11/15 in Boyle Heights. We know that he called all indie promoters in Mexico saying he’s not taking anymore bookings. He had said that when he was offered a deal by AAA which he just accepted that a Lucha Underground spot was part of it. Fireball is one of the best flyers in the world, similar to guys like Fenix, Matt Sydal or Ricochet.

onty "Kip" Sopp, better known as Billy Gunn, was fired today as a trainer by World Wrestling Entertainment.

Sopp was fired due to testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone in a powerlifting meet on July 25.

Sopp's drug test at the meet came up with a 37-1 testosterone/epitestosterone ratio, well over the 4-1 limit, and he was suspended from powerlifting for four years.

Sopp, 52, had returned to WWE as a trainer in 2012 after several years away from the organization. He worked as an agent and a trainer, as well as had a New Age Outlaws nostalgia run as a tag team, winning the tag team titles in early 2013.

He had done occasional run-ins at the end of some NXT shows with he and the babyfaces wrestlers ending shows doing DX crotch chops.

Most recently, he had appeared on television as one of the trainers on Tough Enough and Breaking Ground.

WWE officials were not aware of him competing as a powerlifter until a few weeks ago or his suspension from that sport.

No he doesn't. Managing Cesaro is a great idea. Not just to give Cesaro a mouth piece, but being around Flair and travelling with him, he'll pick up all kinds of advice on improving his mic skills.

Yeah, help get your super athletic daughter get over, meanwhile we're going to have The Bella call her baby Baby Flair and say that she's riding your coat tails. Charlotte could get over with out Ric, I could see Ric managing Cesaro, Ziggler or even the Miz again.

#1-norm-fan 11-14-2015 03:36 AM

Listen, I find the idea of Cesaro being a TOP TIER guy to be pretty laughable but between the opportunity to do something with him and Heyman and the chance to have Flair speak for him, WWE is just willingly being lazy at this point.

Flair would be awesome, As long as he can keep his ego in check and get his client over before himself. The yhave all these mouthpieces getting paid to sit on their ass, use them to help put others over. This aversion to having managers if crap and would help talent, put over storylines and create new ones.

Barrett saying "can I help you, mate?" to the Undertaker on Smackdown was amazing.

She'd make a great associate of Paige's too. There's a lot of history between those two girls, and I can imagine them having some barnburners with Charlotte & Becky Lynch.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:46 PM

At this point, I feel they need to get the briefcase off Sheamus and just run with the pairing with Barrett. Those guys could both use a healthy recharge in the tag team scene.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:51 PM

Cesaro should be the in-ring pillar for the company. Maybe he won't ever be their biggest merchandise seller, most over personality, or biggest star -- but he should be protected and presented like a major deal moving forward. If they need to have Flair come in to achieve that, then they need Flair to come in and help them achieve that.

If Flair were to put together a team of great in-ring guys that maybe represent the old values of the NWA/WCW, it could be a pretty cool angle. Charlotte would be hanging around with them, and that means that Becky Lynch could be an associate member. Cesaro, Ziggler and Curtis Axel immediately come to mind for it.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:52 PM

I don't know how I feel about Samoa Joe being down in NXT. The company should be calling him up and doing an undefeated streak with him. Maybe it doesn't make them much money, but they won't know if they don't try.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:55 PM

Joe feels like one of those few guys that oozes that charisma that's en vogue right now. An ass-kicking don't-give-a-fuck machine. He's got a stand-out look, can work and can talk. Seriously think he should be a big deal for the company right now.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:56 PM

I'm ready for the Lucha Dragons to split. They're not going to get that development as personalities they need as a duo, and a split would at least push fans behind one and give one a "bad guy" personality. Have Del Rio beat Kalisto on RAW and then Sin Cara turns on Kalisto for getting a tournament spot before him.

Sin Cara vs. Kalisto at Survivor Series may not move the needle too much, but Hunico deserves a chance to be the heel he never got a chance to be after Sin Cara Negro.

Mr. Nerfect 11-14-2015 07:57 PM

They might be a bit old, but The LAX might make decent signings for the WWE if they want some stop-gap Latino stars.

Been saying this for awhile... especially since Emma still travels around with the main roster....

Emperor Smeat 11-14-2015 09:03 PM

Probably a sign of how much the recent injury plague is making the WWE panic. Went from a supposed zero interest in having Bryan ever wrestle again for them to now a possibility because of the desperation for big stars.

Quote:

According to The Wrestling Observer, the very latest on Daniel Bryan’s WWE in-ring status is that company officials are waiting on the results of a third doctor’s findings as it pertains to Bryan potentially returning to the ring.

As noted, WWE Doctor Joseph Maroon concluded in the past that Daniel Bryan should not wrestle again due to the number of concussions he had suffered. However, Bryan sought the advice of his own doctor, who works with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, and that doctor concluded Bryan’s brain tested above average for his age and cleared him to wrestle.

The Observer is reporting that the third doctor’s results might already have been submitted, as Vince McMahon is said to be going “back and forth” on whether or not to put Bryan back in a WWE ring.

In my perfect world, Paige & Emma go over in a tournament final against Becky Lynch & Natalya to become the reinstated WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. The Bella Twins and Trish Stratus & Lita are semi-finalists in the tournament (and the presumed finals by many when the matches are announced), but they cost each other their matches and have a more personal feud.

You have Naomi & Tamina and Billie Kay & Peyton Royce all floating around. Charlotte and Sasha Banks could be your defining singles feud, with some of the other girls working with them in between big matches. But the Tag Titles could provide more goals for the girls, who have rotating allegiances anyway.

Mr. Nerfect 11-15-2015 12:59 AM

I've also changed my stance on the WWE re-instating the Cruiserweight Championship, or even trying to create a puro feel to it by bringing back the Junior Heavyweight Championship.

In the past, I've been of the opinion that a title with a weight-limit is not going to be booked correctly in the WWE, and puts a ceiling on certain guys. But dudes like Neville, Tyler Breeze, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Primo, Epico, etc. all seem to have a ceiling anyway, if we're being perfectly honest with ourselves. Maybe they can eventually break out, but giving them a title to feud over for the meantime wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Present this champion like they are a real deal in their weight class, and you might have something. I imagine Neville could possibly be your first champion, but Breeze wouldn't be a bad pick either.

Mr. Nerfect 11-15-2015 01:00 AM

If the brand split was still around, you could put them all on one show (SmackDown?) and if you want a guy like Finn Balor to come up and not waste his time in the division, you can insert him on RAW and push him as an open class guy there.

Mr. Nerfect 11-15-2015 01:08 AM

Here are a list of guys who could be considered Junior Heavyweights in the WWE:

* Adam Rose
* Diego/Primo/Eddie Colon
* Dolph Ziggler
* El Torito (technically)
* Fernando/Epico/Orlando Colon
* Heath Slater
* Hornswoggle (technically)
* Kalisto
* Kofi Kingston
* The Miz
* Neville
* R-Truth
* Sin Cara
* Stardust
* Tyler Breeze
* Tyson Kidd
* Viktor
* Xavier Woods
* Zack Ryder

That's a ton of guys. Hell, out of them, I'd go with Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler in the tournament finals. Cody Rhodes could also get a long run with it, and proclaim it to be on the same level as the World Heavyweight Championship in terms of prestige.

Only problem with that is when you have guys like Rollins & Ambrose challenging for the WWE Title being 5 pounds heavier than all of these guys having success against the likes of bigger Sheamus, Barrett, Cesaro, Orton, etc., and once those guys face the CW guys, they get squashed....

Not great parity....

Or the dude tried to bang her and she turned him down, so this is his revenge.

That said, that is how many women and some men broke into the business. As such, I don't hold it against her IF it is true.

Yeah , all kinds of stories about Lita being a ring rat and doing some crazy things.

Vastardikai 11-15-2015 06:53 PM

It predates Lita.

Buddy Lee (of Buddy Lee Promotions fame) used to promote women's wrestling (and was married to Moolah). His philandering with the talent was a big cause of their divorce. Sweet Georgia Brown being one of them.

On Alexa Bliss:

1. Who the fuck cares who she sleeps with?

2. Good for her if that's the way she wants to go about things. Who would honestly turn her down?

3. Probably not true.

That was why I was always against it, but now I think we're getting to a place where the guys going for the title are a bit bigger again, and most of the smaller guys aren't really going anywhere interesting.
