This stat sums it up - 21 minutes = 6 goals

Mr. Monday Morning 08-22-2004 02:13 PM

ROFL unlucky Boro :'(

Moonax 08-22-2004 02:35 PM

Who do people think is the worst referee?

Ellerary was always a total cock.

Rennie is a nob.

El Capitano Gatisto 08-22-2004 03:12 PM

I was interested to hear Quedrue qualifies for Ireland. I hope Brian Kerr was listening, we could do with another left back, then we'll never have to see Ian Harte in a green shirt ever again.

Dazz 08-22-2004 03:46 PM

Mark Halsey is by far the worst referee.

Should be like American football, just bring Harte on for free kicks.

El Capitano Gatisto 08-22-2004 04:36 PM

Fuck that, we've got Andy Reid.

Cruiserweight 3:16 08-22-2004 05:52 PM

How does he qualify for Ireland out of interest?

Is is like most of the others who qualified just because their grans used to drink Guinness? :p

There is some rule that if you've played in any of the home nations for a number of years then you can be eligeible for any of the home nations.

Don't ask me how it works.

I think it means stuff like Di Canio can now play for England as well.

Dazz 08-22-2004 06:30 PM

Di Canio (like Cudicini) qualifies for an English passport, giving him a dual nationality, which is how he can play for England.

Ireland are not part of the home nations though.

And Di Canio can't play for England now because he left the country.

Moonax 08-22-2004 06:34 PM

A British Passport (no such thing as an English passport) but it means that he can play for any of the Home Nations.

I am pretty sure one of the Irelands is, but I guess it would be northern Ireland.

And yeah I wasn't sure if Di Canio had gone, I am not up to date on that.

A grandparent of his was Irish and moved to France. He qualifies to play through ancestry rules, in that case.

As far as I am concerned, Ireland should take advantage of those rules. Considering the extent of Irish emigration over the years, we've missed out on a lot of potential population going to other countries.

The Mackem 08-22-2004 06:59 PM

It makes you wonder how many people actually live in Ireland.

The Mackem 08-22-2004 06:59 PM

We need a few more Tony Cascarino's in the world.

El Capitano Gatisto 08-22-2004 07:00 PM

The entire island has about 5 million. People from the North qualify for dual citizenship and can claim an Irish passport and nationality.

There's bound to be millions more Irish around the world. Tens of millions maybe.

Wasn't Di Canio capped by Italy a couple times though? :wtf: I'd be surprised if he wasn't.

toxic rooster 08-23-2004 03:38 AM

Where'd he go? :$

yianni 08-23-2004 04:15 AM

My mate and I turn on the TV and the second half has just started with the score at 1-1 between Arsenal and Middlesborough. He went for a slash and by the time he came back it was 1-3, so he was pissed off that he missed some goals but saw another 3 in the next 5 or so minutes  :y: Top game.

Sturrock getting sacked is hardly a surprise. The big concern with this is that Premiership clubs will now be even more reluctant to hire managers from lower divisions considering how well Sturrock has fared.
