NXT with the win!
Look at the 50+ number for Fox News and Hannity
Yes, because old people are the only ones who watch cable news anymore. Younger people don’t trust that and look at their phones. AEW doesn’t lose viewers because of the news. The news might get a bump, but it is from people who wouldn’t be caught dead watching AEW.
And I’m sure those news programs do fine with advertisers too. |

Big Dog brings the ratings to SD
2.180 million https://i.postimg.cc/0NBCT0kB/Fast-D...Aug-28-FRI.png |
It’s basically the same number as last week.
Still so much more popular than AEW, haha. So much for that changing the world thing, hey?
Maybe this has already been answered - I may have even asked it - but when do they factor in DVR and/or streaming numbers for weekly show ratings? Is that a thing they do? (It has to be, right?)
They do, the +3 and +7 days are added I believe. Meltzer and Wade Keller will mention them.
WWE usually ads about 100 - 200k viewers to a show IIRC with DVR. AEW usually ads about 300k with DVR. Wade Keller has said before AEW almost always hits a million viewers after DVR is added. |
Nice. I figured that would factor in somehow. I'm sure it also has a little bearing at least on the TV deals.
I foresee a permanent move to Tuesday nights in NXT's possible future
849k https://i.postimg.cc/13Dnr0QL/nxt.png |
I could see that too. Noid idk why you are hating on the 800k range rating, the shows are usually always in the top 5 so who cares if it's a niche of a niche. WWF was like that for years. If AEW and NXT can hover around 800k and stay in the top 5, then they have be considered a success. You gain so much glee in the multiple times you've emphasized that AEW is still drawing lower ratings than WWE. I don't know if you've noticed but most of the posters who watch AEW every week either talk about WWE as well or not at all. The feud is coming from you and it's one sided.
Good week for AEW - 928k
Honestly, it would be best for WWE and AEW if the shows were on different nights. It's certainly best for fans. https://i.postimg.cc/FzDhPpNx/aew.png |
NXT replay on SyFy came in at 125 w/ 183k viewers, which I consider good for a replay on a less popular cable channel.

Gotta give it to them, AEW spins everything at an Elite level. |
... You realize those two things would not contradict each other, right?

After all the times AEW played the sympathy strings, don't watch NXT they are just there to hurt us, AEW should just be happy the audience would no longer be split. It's what they have been whining about all the way back to the first Fight for the Fallen when Kenny Omega had a meltdown that WWE was going to air an Evolve show on the Network. But they already have roster members popping off at the mouth about nothing but speculation, celebrating and bragging. If they really want to be unopposed they should at least wait until NXT has officially changed nights. Vince McMahon is a vindictive bastard, maybe AEW should just take the win instead of acting like jackasses already. |
Haha this guys nuts.
This guy is mad at AEW for a hypothetical scenario he created in his own head.
The internet really does rot some people’s brains. |
lol
I went back a page or two to try and follow this.... Gonna go to a other thread.

If they are going to complain about WWE splitting the audience, then they shouldn't be trying to piss Vince McMahon off so he changes his mind about switching nights. I would be happy if NXT moved to Tuesday nights, it's another night of wrestling. I even said Vince is a vindictive bastard, and I don't want AEW to give Vince a reason to not move NXT to another night JUST to hurt AEW. AEW can brag after the fact, once it has actually happened. |
While SD has stayed above 2 million each week since Thunderdome debuted, RAW has taken a tumble. Monday Night Football returns next week so that might continue.
Since Thunderdome: 2.030 million 1.896 million 1.725 million |
NXT had another good showing running on Tuesday

First time they've cracked one million. |
First time since their first three weeks*
Wow! Many would never have guessed that they’d rise back up over a million! Especially while some shows are reaching record lows. CONGRATS AEW!
That's a huge number for them. Congrats indeed.
Honestly it’s not like raw gets that much of a better number. Hopefully they can create some real momentum
SD continues to do well in the Heel Dog era

Who'd have thought bad ass wrecking ball heel Reigns would be interesting. Surely nobody.

STD's take

Hard hitting opinions by STD
SD had 1.954 million viewers this week, a surprising drop from the last two weeks
http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/wp-cont...Sep-18-FRI.png |
It's amazing that Vince fired Heyman to bump the ratings for a few weeks. This Retribution garbage is legit end of WCW Boy Band Tank Abbott Fat Chick Thiller Mike Awesome bad.
WWE has been “end of WCW” bad for a really long time. They just get a pass because they’re the only game in town with any real name recognition.
Wow!
AEW's mini special, that aired on 12:40 AM and 11:40 PM in half the U.S. was able to pull in 585k viewers and still come in 9th for the evening in cable tv ratings. https://i.postimg.cc/wBXpT3np/Final-...Sep-22-TUE.png |
AEW fans don't have jobs so that's not a surprise.
I have a job you turd (even tho I didn't watch)!
Lol
Yeah I wasn't staying up until 1:30am to watch Tye Dillinger vs Evan Bourne...
Both AEW/NXT did better than I thought they would, I thought cable news would take more viewers from each.
AEW - 835k NXT - 696k https://i.postimg.cc/PqTLTP5G/aew.png |
If you combine the ratings you have 1.592 million, which is only 75k less viewers than RAW on Monday.
It's the same people flipping back and forth
I imagine a big chunk of those viewers for that extra late night show on Tuesday either fell asleep watching the basketball game because of the time or were too lazy to change the channel. I don't doubt they'd have pulled those, probably better, numbers if they ran earlier. But at that time of night? Nawwwww.
You hate to see it...
Wow, 2 and a half times higher than AEW

Impact Ratings revealed

I've gotten a hold of weekly Impact Wrestling viewership on AXS TV.

Little was previously known about Impact viewership. It doesn't get reported on Showbuzzdaily. Some data has been reported by PWTorch. That's actually more than I was expecting. Good for Impact. They've really done well with the resources they have.
Weren't they dangling by a thread for 2 years or so?
I think they are always sort of dangling by a thread tbh, it's kind of their thing
But Impact will also somehow outlive WWE, AEW, ROH, MLW and everything else in North America. |
It's already lapped WCW

VP debate conquered tv ratings w/ over 50 million viewers across all mediums
AEW - 753k (#19 for the evening) NXT - 639k (#56 for the evening) https://i.postimg.cc/Gm5BBk8J/Final-...Sep-07-WED.png https://i.postimg.cc/hjFfsc0X/Screen...3-12-19-PM.png |
Just continued domination from AEW. You hate to see it.
People would rather watch a debate they can get the skinny of on their phone than wrestling. How frivolous it has become.
lol at that ^

Do you yanks really go in for that shit? There’s no saving your country. |
They watch for the same reason most NASCAR fans watch - to see the crash. They watch, but for the wrong reason.
Also agree. Most people are too stupid to wear a fucking mask, let alone actually pay attention to what is actually happening right now.
You can get the best car crash bits from social media the next day without the parts you have no interest in seeing. And who doesn't know what these people stand for by this point?
Old fucks are really into politics. They also happen to be the only people who still watch TV. So it makes sense.
