Alberto Del Rio has reportedly been letting it be know that once his contract with WWE is up, he will be leaving the company.

According to PWInsider, Del Rio hasn't been happy with the direction of his character. He was once a main event player on the SmackDown brand as a World Champion, and now he is being fed to Batista.

While the match between the two hasn't been officially announced, Batista vs. Del Rio will likely be added to the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

Del Rio is 36-years-old and has several years of mileage on him. It’s believed that he’s been very good with his money and shouldn't be in any financial trouble once he departs from the organization.

Don't really know how I'd get stuff pre-raw? how the hell did they do it? was it all ppv's?

CSL 02-06-2014 08:19 AM

Prime Time, Superstars, Wrestling Challenge, Saturday Night's Main Event were pretty much the TV shows and the "big 4" PPV's. Youtube is your best bet, countless matches, segments etc on there

#1-norm-fan 02-06-2014 08:29 AM

Basically it was weekend morning stuff and Prime Time on Monday Night which mostly just consisted of Bobby Heenan in a studio being awesome while being interrupted by random pre-taped squash matches.

Saturday Night's Main Event was basically that generations Monday Night Raw in that it was where the biggest stuff happened but it only aired one night every couple months. It was also pretty much the only way you could see Hulk Hogan wrestle without paying money. Good times.

Offerman is still under contract in developmental but there are no plans to use her on the main shows any longer since she’s not on Total Divas. Among the highlights of this ten episode season will be two weddings, the Jonathan Fatu and Trinity McCray (Jimmy Uso and Naomi) and the Bryan Danielson and Brie Bella (they use his real name, not hers) which will be the final episode of the season in May. Other storylines include Eva Marie also getting married to her non-wrestler boyfriend and keeping it a secret from her family, Nikki Bella contemplating breaking up with John Cena (considering they are still together, I guess that didn’t happen) as well as the introduction of Jonathan Fatu’s father, the famed Rikishi, as the mad parent who is against the marriage wanting his son to marry someone of Samoan ancestry. Yes, folks, that is just a storyline they created. They will also tell stories of Eva Marie winning over the WWE fans and becoming a big favorite (I missed that), Brie Bella, Natalya and Trinity all chasing the Divas title, but Natalya ends up out of the title picture due to a contrived (though pushed on the show as real) personality clash with Summer Rae. Fandango also ends up with more TV time on the show. The plan is for the season to end with the climax of Brie getting married and one of the women capturing the Divas title at WrestleMania.

I don't mind Total Divas as a concept, but the fact that it's affecting storylines is fucking retarded. I know there was talk of Naomi and Cameron becoming heels, but they didn't because of the show.

It's ridiculous that they're all "bitches" to each other on the show, but they're all best friends in storylines

They're not ALL bitches to each other on the show. The only real bitch was Eva Marie, but the rest of them were pretty cordial. I'm sad that I know that.

Also, props to Austin Aries as well. I'm watching TNA on delay right now so I can skip commercials. Austin Aries is really good at everything.

Nobody remembers Eric Young being badass, shaved head, calculated heel leader at the beginning of the World Elite stable. So much promise... and as typical of TNA, they pissed that away. And then promptly made him a comedy act again. :nono:

There is talk of Shield doing a triple threat against each other at Mania, but that's only if they don't add Bryan to the main event. They don't want two triple threat matches on the same show. So realistically, whether or not Bryan gets put into that match could determine when and where Shield breaks up.

Newest rumor regarding the potential Triple H match is if Bryan gets pulled in favor of the title match, then Reigns vs Triple H is very likely to occur.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that The Undertaker is set to return to WWE TV at the 2/24 Raw taping in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The return was locked in within the last 48 hours.

That is the day after The Elimination Chamber and will be the Raw that leads directly into the launch of the WWE Network's live programming. The appearance will kick off Undertaker's storyline for Wrestlemania 30
Quote:

On this week’s Smackdown Randy Orton let his temper get the best of him at the tapings. Orton took offense to a fan holding a RK-No sign and was visibly upset by it. As he was walking to the ring they cut to an Elimination Chamber graphic. When they went back to Orton he was wearing tights with silver on them. That was actually footage from Raw. You can see for yourself below. Orton may be on thin ice with the company right now but with WrestleMania around the corner they will probably tolerate Orton’s attitude since they can’t afford to lose anyone at this time of the year

TNA was for sale and Jarrett through his connections with the Nashville music industry and Keith in particular, tried to put together a bid to buy the company. The deal was very close at one point. Bob Carter came to Keith to finalize the deal and the two sides were close on a price, although they were not quite there. The belief is they were going to hash it out, but Carter only had one request in selling, which was that Dixie Carter would remain with her title, have some power in the company and remain a television character. Keith said he wasn’t going to buy the company with any creative limitations, so the deal actually fell apart because Bob Carter in the end was going to protect his daughter. Someone in TNA who was aware of how it went down noted to us that, “That’s why we all are still here,” noting if it was about business, TNA would have never survived after the last golden carrots (prime time TV and Hulk Hogan) failed to increase popularity or take the company from losing money. At that point, the feeling was from Keith and Jarrett that they didn’t need to buy the company, as they could start their own company from scratch. The deal falling through would have been shortly before Jarrett quit TNA in December. The other thing noted is when this story got out inside of TNA, those who had tried to believe the Janice Carter memo and thought the idea was that the Carters wouldn’t sell, and the talks were for just a minority investor, realized they’d been had.

WWE will produce it in a way that makes it creepy as fuck.

WWE has said they wanted to go for a world record of most people wearing a mask in one place with a Rey/Sin Cara match.

Fuck that. Give everybody a lamb mask. 80,000 people swaying to Broken Out In Love would be amazing.

WWE's future with NBC Universal rumored to be decided before the end of this week. Right now it appears to be leaning towards the WWE looking elsewhere for their shows.

WWE's been hinting they want NASCAR-like money for their new contracts.

The two parties are grappling over continuation of the sport-meets-reality TV programming on NBCUniversal’s USA Network and SyFy Channel.

An exclusive negotiating period ended last week with no deal in sight. We hear the pressure is on for a deal to get done in the next few days.

An industry source told On the Money, “NBCU has until Friday, Feb. 14, to respond to WWE’s final offer.”

It’s not clear where the price tag stands, but reports have suggested the last deal was priced at $140 million, and the WWE had been looking for a leap up that gives it a similar premium accorded to sports rights.

WWE — which announced the launch of its own over-the-top network for wrestling fans at CES — is one of the few things on TV ( besides sports) that fans want to watch live.

The question is, how badly does NBCU want to keep it? And where will it land if the two parties split up?

WWE has felt for years that their programming has been undervalued and Vince McMahon is determined to get what he feels is market value on this contract.

The company has done a fantastic job setting up this situation by making sure all of their TV deals expire at the same time so that they can sell them as a package.

The risk is that if they turn down NBCU's "best offer" and solicit elsewhere, if no one steps up, then NBCU will have all the power in negotiations going forward.

If they put a hall of fame at Universal Studios its only a step closer to the WWE Universe theme park attraction..WWE themed rides and stuff.

If they leave Universal I wonder if they'll dump the term WWE Universe.
