It's just the SNES version of All-Stars on a disk. May as well just get an emulator.
And Tricky on Gamecube. |

I got one, and dunno if I should open it or not for that reason. I already have the .iso and mp3s and seen the booklet online. |

Yeah, it's gonna be worth something down the line for sure. If you buy it don't open it.
|
Also, the Gamecube controller is terrible for games like Tricky. Get the PS2 version.
|
The Gamecube controller is fantastic and the graphics and load times are much better on the Cube.

:foc:

What? It needs analogue control and the PS pad still has it in a retarded place :wavesad:

Similar to when EA added analog control to its Fight Night series and 2k added it for the NBA 2k series, Sony is going to add analog control for pitching and hitting in their upcoming MLB 11 The Show.

Also announced was 3D-capability for the game, Move-enabled control setup, and 2-vs-2 or 2-vs-CPU modes. http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...he_show-3.jpeg http://kotaku.com/5713962/analog-pit...lb-11-the-show ------------------------------------------------------------------------ In other news, Nintendo now offering Kirby Epic Yarn patches that were first seen at E3 2010 as rewards for Club Nintendo. 350 coins per pack of patches. |
Speaking of Club Nintendo, I got 900 coins I need to burn. Apparently they aren't good anymore at the start of the 3rd Club Nintendo year after you acquire them. So I have a bunch that will disappear next June/July.

That Baseball game looks pretty

EA plan to solve the issue of how can PS3 users know the story without playing Mass Effect 1 by introducing an interactive comic with Mass Effect 2 for the PS3. The comic begins after the intro video to Mass Effect 2 for the PS3.
The comic will summarize the main story and also allow people to interact with the 6 main choices from the 1st game. From those results, Mass Effect 2 story will then customize itself based on the choices just like it did on Xbox 360 and PC. The whole story from the comic can be sped through in a couple of minutes any time someone wants to start a brand new Mass Effect 2 game. There is a rumor of the comic eventually arriving for the Xbox 360 and PC at a later date through the Cerbrus Network. http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...screen22wm.jpg http://kotaku.com/5712997/the-fastes...-playstation-3 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In delayed news, Max Payne pushed out of Rockstar/Take-Two's 2011-2012 release list but Take-Two did confirm the game is still being worked on and new info will arrive in a few months. Dexus Ex Revolution now pushed back from a March 2011 release date to a TBA 2011 release date. Square-Enix did confirm the game will be available some time in the 2011 fiscal year (April 2011 - April 2012). |
Can't wait to play ME2 again. Word is that they are using the ME3 engine.
|
Oh look at that I can skip ME1 after all.
|
I wouldn't. ME is a great game.

Quote:
Hate that "Hey, you loyal customers who bought it a year ago. You're playing it wrong!". Might wait to purchase the GOTY ME3 and just play ME3 until then. |

Still, ME1 is a fine game and almost totally different from ME2. |
From Engadget:
In most circumstances, we'd argue a self-illuminating controller crisscrossed by bright bands of orange is a couple of notches over the top, but when it's Tron you're talking about, it all makes sense. This latest peripheral for the 360 is up for pre-order now at $39.99 and comes prepackaged with the smugness of knowing that each one sold will be part of a very limited 250-unit production run. It's officially licensed by Microsoft and arriving at snowy doorsteps some time later this month. A less exclusive blue brother should be joining it soon as well, in case the current hue's not quite to your liking. |

Amazing how much gameplay we got from two buttons and 8 directions.

EA have released a 3D remake of UMK3. It's pretty faithful (awful)

Wait... what?

http://www.gameplaybook.com/reviews/...w-iphone-ipad/
It was silky smooth on my iPhone 4 for the record and the speed and combos are all there. Also, Inifinty Blade is amazing. Built on the Unreal Engine, it's a sword fighting game originally built for Kinnect, but it works so well on the screen and it is drop dead gorgeous. Could easily be a 360 game. |

Honestly, I don't remember what the fuck I did and what happened in ME1. He will be fine going straight to 2.
|
I remember it all, as I've completed 4 playthroughs. And I STILL have 2 achievements left. Fucking hybrid classes.
|
Quote:
Edit: Also, its not 'fine' to just go to the next game. As i stated before, the attachments you get to your characters mean something. Its just like any other RPG in that sense. Reading about the back story of a character isnt gonna put a smile on your face when you see them in ME2. |

Crystal Dynamics releasing a Tomb Raider trilogy collection for just the PS3 but its not like other remakes or classics done so far on the PS3.
The games being picked for the collection are not from the original PS1 era or the 1st reboot of the franchise but from the 3rd set of games in the series (2nd reboot/retelling). The games included are Tomb Raider Legend, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and Tomb Raider Underworld. Extras for the collection include trophy support and avatars for PS Home. Also announce for a March 22 release date but no price given. Only reason no collection is coming to the Xbox 360 or Wii (didn't get Legend) is due to those consoles already have the games in the series while the PS3 only received Underworld. http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...ider_anni.jpeg http://kotaku.com/5715035/ps3-gettin...rilogy-in-2011 |
maybe this will give me a chance to play my first tomb raider game

Tomb Raider Legends was pretty good. I liked the engine a lot.

Secret of Mana is out for the iPhone now

Did he say he liked it because of the engine?

Sounds like it. It seems like an odd thing to say.

How a game plays is classically referred to as the 'engine' of the game. These days engine refers to development tools like the Cry Engine, Unreal Engine, or MT Framework. Old fogeys like me still use engine as a term for gameplay, though.
|
Then say gameplay, I won't fault you for that. But saying engine, especially since there are a shit ton that just buy an engine to build a game off of (I'm well aware of the Unreal and Cry engines being used in games).
|
I will use up-to-date terminology on these boards from now on. I forget the lingo isn't standard across the board.
|
No one praises games based on their engines. I am on quiet a few game boards, and not once have I heard "I like the engine" or "the engine is shit." It is always game play is good, controls are clunky, stuff like that.

I could just as easily say I heard engine used as a term for gameplay since forever, but we roll in different circles, yo. |
Yeah, I thought engine referred exclusively to the text behind a game. Like the Unreal
Engine ranges from Turd (FFXIII) to awesome (Gears of War). |
Epic Games is doing a special promotion for Gears of War 3 where if you've bought and played previous games released by Epic on the Xbox 360, special goodies and content gets unlocked as a gift for Gears of War 3.

The original trilogy is being ported with extras including trophy support and HD-graphics. This collection will be based off of the PS2/Gamecube set of games and not the Xbox/PC set. |
Playing Virtua Fighter. Trying to 'get it'.

You will also have companies utilising different Middleware/Engines for different sections of their games too, pretty sure you've all seen Havoc Physics advertised in games or RAD Sound Tools. The engines are pretty modular in how they work. A bad engine can result in what should be a good game perhaps not performing as it should. As much as I love it, Fallout 3 suffers a bit from this for some people because it uses the Engine Bethesda used for Oblivion still. |
I'm on Gold, by the way. So SSF4, Reach, Assassins Creed, Battlefield BC2 Vietnam, anything but Black Ops right now.
|
PS3 won't read Disc 4 of Final Fantasy 8 wtf!!!!!!!!!!
|
You want I should tell you what happens?
|
What & I will just borrow it from a fiend or download it from playstation network if all else fails
|
I wouldn't have told you. I was lying again.

Dead Space 2 demo out today for the Xbox 360 Gold Members (PSN had it released yesterday). Its about 1.2 GB in size with the retail game game expected January 2011.
Dead Rising 2 Case West comes out exclusively for the Xbox 360 on December 27 for 800 MS points. EA announces Valve's Portal 2 set to arrive April 21, 2011 but no news on if a demo will be available or the pricing. |
Me and RoXer are having some terrible Virtua Fighter matches.
|
Lei Fie is my main and I was starting to remember some of his combos near the end there. Not really a combo as much as is pressing back and lb twice. Also couldn't figure out how to get into his stance to do that lunging punch. Love spamming that. And then I started to learn the druken guy near then end before I stopped playing this but didn't remember any of his combos.
